You are not at all weird coz I have the same problem. Even I cant live without sleeping properly.So you understand? My hyperthinking keeps me awake and as I cannot fulfil my sleep quota, next day I suffer a lot. That is why I used to be late to office. Coz I would sleep only for 4 hours and that would make me sleepy whole day! And after few days of sleeping so less, I used to just crash one day and sleep for 12 or 13 hours. That used to be every sunday.It was horrible plus I could not put on weight coz I used to walk the whole night. After starting to write, I have put on weight and look healthy too.!
which is why am lucky that i manage to catch up on my sleep
since dont have to go so early in morning
but then i usually get at least 7 hours sleep
sone ke liye i would leave just about anything
and get so cranky if someone tries to wake me up before time
