Geet's POV

I want to do my internship in India, away from my family and these people. I want to spend few days away from my family so that I can mentally prepare myself for this marriage. But how can I ask my dad about going to India, I am damn sure he won't send me alone and with no other option I have to do my internship here itself. My mom is calling me down as some guests have arrived. I went down and Khurana family is there and automatically smile adored my lips and I saw Annie and not to forget would-be bride. We both hugged tightly and excitedly. I wished aunty and uncle; they smiled at me and continued to talk with my parents. I and Annie went to kitchen to prepare breakfast for everyone.

"Geet, we are going to India next week yaar. I want you to come with us" told Annie sadly.

I too want to attend her marriage but don't know I will go or not. "Before you go to India we will party hard" I told not want to see her sad when she should be happy.

Annie smiled and said ok. I sighed in relief seeing her happy, she is my only friend who understands me and I can't see her sad or in pain. She is the only one with whom I share anything and everything.

"Where are you lost madam" asked annie.

I nodded in a no and continued preparing parathas.

We prepared breakfast and served everyone. I and annie took our breakfast to my room so that we can spend some time with each other.

"Annie, I want to do my internship in India yaar. I have never gone to India but papa don't allow me to go there alone" I told sadly.

"Wow if you come to India it will be great. Khurana hospitals hai you can do your internship there itself and papa and bhai hai there will be no problem and on top of that you can stay with me. Why don't you talk with uncle?" asked annie.

"I don't think it will happen annie" I told sadly and i am sure about it.

"Geet don't worry yaar, we will take help of mom and dad I am sure they will help you" told Annie.

I hugged annie "Thank you very much"

"Mom and dad can't help us in this matter I have to ask my dadi, she will help for sure after all drama queen jo hai" thought annie and smiled to herself. Annie called to dadi and soon dadi answered the call.

"Hey DM, how are you?" asked annie.

"Hello my sweet heart, I am cool how are you?" asked dadi.

"Hey DM I need a help from you" asked annie and smiling at geet.

Here I am nodding in a no... but that is annie who don't listen to anyone same like her bhai. Huh!!!

End of Geet's POV

"Anything for you darling" told dadi.

Annie told to dadi that geet wants to come to India and her internship. "Dadi I so want geet to come for my marriage and please dadi you have to help us in any way. Please please please dadi" asked annie.

"Ok ok, cool down annie beta. I can help you" told dadi.

"Relly dadi, love you so much" told annie excitedly.

Dadi cut the call and thought for some time. She directly called to Mohinder Handa. He received the call immediately.

"Namaste Maaji, kaise hai aap?" asked mohinder.

"Namaste bte, hum thik hai tum kaise ho?" asked dadi.

"Thik hai maaji" replied mohinder politely.

"Beti ki sagaai ki Mubarak ho beta. Yeh sunke bohot khushi hui" wished daadi.

"Thank you maaji, bas aapki kami thi" told mohinder.

"Iss umr mei itne dur journey kaise karte beta. Humko geet ko dekhne ka bohot mann kar raha hai. Annie ne kaha geet doctor banne wali hai aur ab wo internship karne wali hai" asked dadi.

"Ji maaji, bas shaadi tak uske baad wo ghar par hi rehne waali hai" told mohinder. Daadi sighed as she knows no one can change his mind set on girls and their education.

"Mujhe geet ko dekhne ka bohot mann kar raha hai beta. Agar tum bura na mane tho geet ko annie ke saath aane do aur wo apna internship yahi India par karegi. Aur humko bhi geet se mulakaat hogi beta. Agar tumko aitraaz na ho tho. Ab humko kya pata hum kitne din iss duniya mei rahenge" told dadi dramatically.

"Arey maaji aisa mat kahiye, humare parivaar ko bhi aap hi bade hai. Mai jaroor geet ko bejta hu" told mohinder.

"Thik hai beta ab hum rakhte hai" told dadi and cut the call.

Mohinder cut the call and is in fix what to do now. He treats dadi as his mom and he knew khurana's from ages, he cant dis-respect her at the same time how can he send geet alone to India, well not really alone. She is very much attached to them. But he doesn't want to send her and don't want to dis-respect her as well. After a lot of thinking he decided to send geet to India so that she can do her internship in KH as well.

Here after talking with dadi annie and her parents left from there. Annie is waiting for geet's call to hear the good news.

"Geet" called out mohinder.

Geet came down hearing her dad's call.

"Ji papa" asked geet.

Mohinder told about her trip to India, he didn't even ask her opinion whether she likes to go to India or not. He just ordered her, "You will be alone there and be careful. Kuch gadbad nahi hona chahiye" warned mohinder. Geet didn't talk anything in front of him as its waste of time and energy. For him girls are only for household work and they are machines to give waaris and nothing much. With so many conditions he allowed her to study medicine. But he allowed his son to study as much as he want and even geet's brother Brij too has same opinion as his father. They don't even care for her and even a single day mohinder asked her how is she and about her well-beings. Her heart weeps each and every second but she smiles in front of her father as if he damn cares about her feelings. She just closed her eyes and accepted whatever came in her way.
