Veer opened the truck and checked his bag again for the 3rd time. Aashi watched him. She looked annoyed.
"Once you guys get married, you will see how hard it is!!" Geet said lying in the back of the car while Aashi was seated in the passenger's seat.
Aashi turned around and gave her a mean look "these are your medicines he is checking back again. He wants to make sure that everything is there!"
Geet rolled her eyes. "Yeah! For the third time. Anyways now you are going to side with him always, I am no longer your friend."
Aashi laughed. "Of course not. You're my friend first." Then she smiled. "I know your brother is a bit crazy sometimes."
Veer was getting into the car. "I heard that" he said. "Geet look outside". He grabbed Aashi and kissed her hard. "I know how to take revenge sweetheart" he said, eying her with his intense eyes. Geet giggled.
Then Maan got into the car and sat besides geet. "Let's go." He said.
Varun had had to cancel his plan to go on the trip with them. Captain Ram had told him that they needed to start working on another issue and he gave work priority. As always. Both maan and Aashi had been mad at him. They were happy with both their respective. But Varun was too scared of commitments. Everyone knew that his parent's divorce had affected him deeply. They just hoped that he found someone one day.
"How long did it take us last time to reach there" geet asked.
"22 hours drive" Varun replied. "I'm going to drive the whole day today, and then we are going to stop at a motel. Maan can drive tomorrow."
"Hmmm" geet replied.

Geet was looking outside. Her back was hurting. She was used to it but she was supposed to get her periods soon. Oh God! Please don't let this holiday get spoilt! Maan was resting besides her. She rested her head on his shoulders and encircled his arms. She smiled. "You are so muscular, so strong... just like veer!"
"More than Veer baby!" Maan said arrogantly
Maan was taller than Veer. But Veer looked harder, it was the age difference. Otherwise, they both expressed the same degree of intimidation. Veer just smirked, not paying attention to what he said.
After a while Geet fell asleep on Maan's shoulder. Aashi was kind of dozing too. "Maan, please remain awake, if you sleep I'm going to fall asleep too." Maan nodded.
Few hours later, Aashi woke up. She glanced at the back and saw geet still sleeping. "She's been sleeping for a long time!" she said.
"Yes, she has. Maan we are going to stop for something to eat in about 10 minutes. Wake her up."
Maan looked at geet. She was sleeping in his embrace. She looked so small in his arms. He caressed her cheeks and kissed her hair. He did not feel like waking her up.
"Geet! Wake up baby. We need to get down and eat something."
Geet opened her eyes lazily and smiled. "How long have I been sleeping?" She asked looking outside.
For a long time baccha." Veer replied.

After being in the car for so long, they finally arrived at a hotel. Veer was going to share the room with Aashi. But he looked at Maan and frowned.
"What! Don't tell me you are going to put me and geet in different rooms and take my sister to your room!" Maan said.
Veer didn't say anything. He glanced at Geet who was siting with Aashi in the lobby waiting for them.
"Veer!! Come on man, you know I'm not going to do anything to her!" maan said. Then he turned to the receptionist and asked for another room for him and geet together.
He turned back to Veer and glared at him. "Stop being her overprotective brother. You don't have to protect her from me. You'll definitely not appreciate me coming in between you and Aashi!"
Before veer cut him off maan continued. "I know she's older than geet, but she is still my little sister. I can be overbearing too."
Both stared at each other. Maan smirked at Veer. "Wipe that grin off your face" Veer said before turning away smiling and joined geet and Aashi.

Maan and geet were in the room lying on the bed. Maan's eyes were already closed and he assumed that geet was sleeping too. She turned on her side facing maan and poked him in the chest.
Maan opened his eyes and looked at her. "What happened geet?"
"I'm not sleepy." She said.
"Of course. You slept so much in the car. But, sweetheart, tomorrow I have to drive, so go to sleep and I'll sleep too. He closed his eyes."
"I cant Maan!!" Then she turned on her back "You know. If you persuade veer, I can drive half the distance tomorrow. Like that, you wont get so tired!! What do you say?" she said expectantly
He's not going to agree geet. Even I don't want you to drive on this road. You're not used to it." Maan said with his eyes still closed.
"What do you mean I'm not used to it? Where do you think I usually drive? On the road itself right? So I can certainly drive over here as well!" Geet exclaimed.
"I don't want to argue right now Geet. Please sleep!!" maan said
"I'm not sleepy Maan."
"Do you want me to call Veer." he asked her.
"I'm not a kid Maan. Why would you call Veer to make me sleep? He's probably having a nice time with Aashi right now!" Geet said smiling.
Maan opened his eyes and gave her a glare. Then he smiled. "Geet, when I left for the army you were already 18. Even then Veer had to pat you down so you could sleep. . How would I know if you are really grown up now? Veer has spoilt you so much. Sleep now!! I'm really serious" he closed his eyes again.
"That was only when I was sick." Geet pouted angrily. "Ok fine. I'll let you sleep." She turned on her side.
Maan smiled. She was so childish sometimes. After a while, her breathing became even. She was already asleep. He gathered her close and tucked her in his warmth.
