Well, to answer all your questions, I will remind you of the person Geet was in IOYSM. She had turned a bit more practical now but the core personality traits are still there. The person that she is, she is bound to feel hesitant in confronting someone who loved her a lot and yet she unintentionally hurt her.

Secondly, do you think the heart is completely in control of anyone? Aren't there times in your own life when you can't help but feel for someone or something even though you know there is no clear future that comes out of such feelings? The very fact that you and I are here in Geet forum is a testimony of it. We know the show has ended, we know it may never return with a second season and we know it was all fiction. Yet we are here, trying to live and relive it and the memories associated with it through discussions, stories and pictures. Now, do you think you can't control what you feel, or do something about bringing the show back? No, right? In the same way, Geet felt for Maan. She never let herself think she loved him. And when she broke his heart, no matter how much time passes, she will still feel guilty over the issue unless she has been told otherwise by the one person who was involved.
