Okay , so I never thought I would see this day where I'd actually bother watching Geet and what it was really about. I never really understood the hype cause honestly I never watched it when it aired and the promos of it never appealed to me. So as I was randomly surfing through Youtube, I saw some episodes of Geet , and I have to say that the initial storyline of the soap was a very very strong one , and Geet's characterization was the actual backbone of the story , I think more than Man and Geet's pairing. Geet's evolution as a character and the things that happened to her , despite she being a girl who is my age was very very shocking and emotional for me. I cant imagine going through half the things she did by her family . But yes the female abuse that constricted in her house and village is very much there also in rich suburban areas though it is not as open and animalistic as shown in village areas. It's very sad how the story completely butchered itself later but that was the case with every Star One show so oh well ,but now I actually understand why Geet was so popular. Now actually I am glad to say that a show with a story like Geet had a neck to neck competition with my favourtie show in terms of popularity .In fact I am glad that my favourite show was always neck to neck with this show . And now I finally understand why. But yes I love Geet's character. And the things that happened to her made the storyline very very strong.
