Geet started to get up to get out of the room and that is when Maan felt something moving and he woke up...
M: Ummm...Geet how are u feeling now??
G: Ha
Geet thought what happened to him.. why all of a sudden he is concerned about me..I think I am dreaming let me pinch myself
Geet from her left hand pinched her right arm... and
G: Ouch
M: Geet what r u doing? Why are u pinching yourself...Already u r having burnt hand
Maan touched her forehead.. The fever had reduced but still not fully gone.
Geet was shocked to see this new avatar of Maan
Geet again tried to get up. But Maan held her left wrist..
M: Geet where r u going?? U are not allowed to... Just stay here
G: Wo your breakfast
M: No need
G: Please let me do it or you will get late for office and then u will scold me gain
Geet said this with tears shinning in her eyes...
Maan put his palm on her cheeks and removed the little tear by his thumbs that were about to fall down from her cheeks.
M: Geet stay calm... u freshen up and I am coming in a few minutes ok jaan
Geet was awestruck by hearing jaan from his mouth... she was waiting for this concern, these words for her from her husband from the last one month but all she got was insult, mocking, being ridiculed by him.
More tears started forming... but Maan nodded to her that no... now he doesn't want to see tears in her eyes.
M: Geet freshen up now...
G: Hmm
Geet got up and moved towards the washroom but at this point Maan remembered that she can't get her wounds wet.
M:Geet wait... wo.. woo... doctor said that u don't have to put water on your wounds
Geet nodded and went from their...
Maan stayed there for a moment and then knocked the washroom door
Geet didn't hear it... she opened the tap but didn't know how to wash her face and brush her teeth.. she was just staring at the running water..
When Maan didn't hear anything from the opposite side.. He twisted the knob and saw that it is not locked.. He went in there and saw Geet starring at the running tap..
M: Geet.. wo should I help you.
Geet didn't say anything and Maan took it as her yes and moved towards her...
He stood right beside, a little at the back ..and asked her to lean a bit forward. He took a new tooth brush and helped her brush her teeth. It was actually he brushing her teeth and she just looking him in the mirror.. Later he helped her rinse her mouth with his own hands. Then he took some facewash and lather it on her face and helped her rinsed it off. He bought her out of the washroom and took a new towel and dried her face.. while he drying he could actually feel her soft satin silk which had a certain glow in it... which wasn't there yesterday. He dried her cheeks in soft pating motions and saw that her cheeks had soft blush on it and saw that Geet was smiling, eyes closed. Maan also smiled at her.
Maan( self-thought) Now this smile will be always on your face. I promise.
M: Geet just wait here. I am coming
G: Hmm
Geet herself didn't know what was happening to her... when he was drying her face... why her heart started beating faster. She just shrugged off the feeling and went to the sofa.
Maan also freshened up in the other washroom and moved towards the kitchen. Since it was a bit early so the maid was not there...so he decided to take breakfast for Geet and himself
Since he did not know how to make parathas, he toasted some bread, with cheese omlete, and coffee in one mug and milk in the other one. He readied the tray and went to his room.
There he saw Geet staring at the whole room with amazed eyes as if she was taking detail of everything. Then he saw her staring at an object continuously. Maan direct his eyes towards where her eyes were staring and he saw his own photo.
He smiled and moved towards Geet. He could see a slight blush on her face.
M:Geet chalo... have your breakfast than u have to take medicines too
Geet was a little taken a back by seeing Maan with a tray in his hand. In this one month she had never seen Maan like this. He was always in the opposite mood.
What happened in this one night that he changed so much?
She shrugged off these thought.
Maan moved towards the bed and kept the tray on the table in front of the sofa where Geet was siting
Geet was looking here and there... lost in thoughts that how will she eat with right hand bandaged... and then decided to only have coffee...
M: Geet take this and eat something
She took the mug from the tray and then kept on staring at it making weird faces and was later staring at the other mug
Maan was seeing her antics from the corner of his eyes and was smirking
M: Geet what r u doing? Drink it
G: No I will eat and drink later. U have your breakfast... u will get late for office..
M:Geet I am not going to office today
G: Kya... I mean why(in a meek voive)
M:aisay hi
G: aisia hi?
Geet(self-thought)Geet beta to to aaj gayi... aaj to tu kuch nahi kha sakti..
M:Geet abh tum khaogi yah mai
Geet came back and bought her lips closer to the mug in order to take a sip but scrunched her face and pulled the mug far
Maan understood what she is doing
M: You don't like milk do you?
G: Haan wo I don't like it...
M: but u will have to drink it
G: maan but...
Maan gave a stern expression and Geet immediately took two sips and then made even more weieder faces
Maan was sipping from his mug... and smirked
Maan made a sandwich of bread and omelet and gave it to her... but the way her hand was bandaged she couldn't hold it. So Maan bought forward the sandwich in front of her mouth and asked her to take a bite..
M: aisay kia dekh rahi ho.. take a bite
Geet after finishing the first bite was about to say something and Maan again forwarded her the sandwich... this happened till she finished the whole sandwich
M: Kaisa tha
G: Boht acha tha... app ko pata hai is tarha merya father mujhe sandwich bana kar dete the... because I don't like the flavor of egg directly so he used to fold it in bread and give it to me... Thankyou
Geet was remembering the moments and this bought tear in her eyes
