What I loved in this chapter is a lot many things for me to list them all. But I would just go with the hope as always that "If only she saw him".

Your title was just apt ... and it does make sense why all of shaped out the way it was 👏

It was originally the title which made me decide on this end of the story.

His confession touched me.. his simplicity, honesty and raw emotions came out well. The vulnerability and his openness showed how much power he has given her. Somehow I can't blame her for her not accepting his love or reciprocating his feelings. She was always a thinker and analyses her emotions and feelings to a great extent... always cautious before taking any decision, very level headed. Her response to him just is a part of her persona. She can't accept it when she herself is in denial... she is fearful and it backfires on the way she treats life and situations...

Loved the way you described the whole parts in paragraphs reflecting and giving a glimpse of each of their emotions and feelings. This really had a great impact on feeling the full force of what you wanted to put forward ... and also makes me feels for both of them. Neither is she wrong nor he.

It was actually challenging for me to keep switching from one to the other because when I started with one, I wanted to keep writing with that perspective. But I am glad the effort was fruitful in bringing out the feel of it!

I understand his anger and ego spewing out of him ... its like a protective blanket for him to shield him form her rejection and distance that they will be at. Completely justified the way he retorted as he did feel (even me as a reader) she reciprocated those feelings and emotions in those special moments. Whereas for her it all was a culmination of her thinking, analyzing and being practical always and also a someone her family is waiting for.

Like you've already said, she was in denial so she couldn't accept his love then. His anger was only a natural reaction because for him, there was really no other explanation for the moments he had spent with her.

Kudos to you to make me feel like this for both of them ... 👏👏👏

The secret place .. indeed a important point for them both. Him seeking it even unconsciously just speaks of promises and hope. Loved his memories about his father, and that whole scene... just reminded me of something that I experienced a few days back and what My own mentor told me. I could relate to it... that things if really deserving will comeback in its own proper time. 👍🏼 The whole mention here made me smile 😃

It is something my mother has taught me, and it is what I use to satisfy myself with whenever I face failure, that if I deserve something, it will come to me in its due time, not before that and not after that.

The way Zara met him .. and the expectation she had and his dejection was very saddening... My heart went out for my Tortoise. 😭

I wrote this part before even starting with the rest of this chapter, and trust me when I say, I could not write for days after this one. The sad, gloomy feeling which came over me while writing this just wouldn't go away!

But deep down even after all the resolve he has made .. he can't just be hard... he is that gentleman and sweet ❤️ my Tortoise forever... how much ever you want to show him hard 😛😉 I want to show him hard? Don't you think that the sweet and gentlemanly Maan here is the virtual flesh of the guy I would like? Why would I want to show him hard then? 😆

Loved the airport scene... filmy? yes but then went with the flow... 👏

That was a moment for him when his memory pulled out something to give him hope yet soothe the pain he was feeling...

But the pain, hurt, the feeling of rejection and his ego overpowers his heart

It usually would for a person who had been in love for three years and never found the courage to express it and when he did, all he got was denial.
