Writing is an inner expression of oneself!

Hence, you should NOT base your writing on what others say/ not say & do/not do . Yes likes & comments show that you are being appreciated! However don't only judge your writing based on them. You should write so that it gives you happiness not what others think! If you keep this in mind you will never be disappointed.
