Geet woke up to a bright morning, hurrying through her room, gathering her things for work. Taking a shower, she hurriedly dressed up being late as usual. Though it had been almost a month Geet joined KC, yet she remained unsuccessful in changing her habit of being unorganized. Finally dressing up she ran towards the dining table, where Daadi would be waiting for her for breakfast. She hurried through her breakfast, while Daadi watched her often sighing at her carelessness. Stuffing the breakfast in almost one go Geet bid Dadimaa good bye and left KM towards KC which was her second home from the past almost one month, all along Maans absence she was responsible for his work. Adi gave her strict instructions, on how Maan is a devil when it comes to work, and keeps track of everything no matter he is present or not. Geet reached KC to see the same scattered atmosphere, everyone running from one corner to other as a month was almost over and Maan would be returning soon within a matter of days. Geet rushed to her cabin intending to start working right away, when her usual morning activity was about to start ; having an argument with Sasha.
" Geet...!!!!! " screamed Sasha,startling Geet and making her go red in anger. She banged her fist on the table in frustration.
" Yeh Chudail, she's started again. Babajii.!! Did you give her a supari by any chance, to torture me.?? She's always after me.!! " Geet got up from her chair, intending to leave her cabin to start the daily routine all the while cursing Sasha. Coming out , she stood facing Sasha.
" Yes Ma'am " Geet said glaring, matching to Sasha's tone.
" Dont glare at me Geet, I would rather say do some work." She snapped.
" But I was doing my work Ma'am , you just... " Geet started retorting but Sasha cut her in.
" Just shut up, and get me the Singhania's file. I asked you for it yesterday and I don't have it till now. " Sasha accused Geet.
" But Ma'am, I already gave it to you yesterday. You must have missed it on your table " Geet defended herself.
" Stop it Geet. It's not there on my desk. You are the one who forgot to give me the file, and now you are blaming me.? " Sasha kept on accusing Geet, while she kept fuming with each word from Sasha.
" But Ma'am... " Geet tried to speak but again was interrupted by Sasha.
" Geet admit it,it was your fault, I already told you about it yesterday still you forgot. " Sasha accused Geet , while the whole office stood watching the 2 bicker like always.
" Sure, for you it's always I who am at fault. Ma'am, sometimes learn accepting your faults too. This time it wasn't my fault. I will accept it when I am at fault, but that doesn't mean you will blame me time and again " Geet retorted with equal venom, irritated with the everyday rants of Sasha.
" Just wait and see once MK come back, he is going to throw you out , he doesn't like careless employees. I will make sure he fires you.! " Sasha sneered.
" Really.? Well then I think, you will be the first one to be fired as he hates gossipers and inefficient staff. As far as I have learned about him, he respects true talent. So we will see who gets fired, you or me.! " Geet bit back sarcastically.
" Geet, you better stay in your limits. You will pay for this " Sasha glared at Geet, to which Geet just rolled her eyes.
"And, I thought I pay you guys to work, and not create nonsense in my office early morning.!" Maan intervened, who all the while was watching the two bicker like school going kids, finally loosing his patience.
"Wahi toh.! See, that's what I am telling her as well, but Ma'am doesn't listen to anyone except her self. I hope she listens to you." Geet continued, unaware that it was Maan who spoke, still eying Sasha who already was shivering realizing Maan's presence.
" Geet " he spit through his teeth, while she stiffened recognizing his voice finally. She slowly turned her head to meet his blazing eyes, and started shivering. Seeing him, she realized it was he who spoke and he was there all the while listening to them. Scared looking at him, she made a run for it, while Maan just stood there watching her antics, dumbfounded. Geet ran through the corridor while everyone just stood shocked as to what she did just now. Maan on one hand, who was fuming with anger but also couldn't stop himself from laughing mentally at her antics. He shot a glare towards his staff, who scattered shivering with his one glare. Sasha, who was about to leave was held back by him and he gave her a good lecture about his rules which she should be aware of by now. Embarrassed, she left the place not before cursing Geet for it. Maan decided, to have a talk with a Geet too, but the question was where was she.? He looked into her cabin, but it was empty, which was making him angrier. He walked through the corridor searching for her when he saw the conference room open. He walked towards it thinking she might be in there, and so she was but where was the question as he could clearly hear her cribbing..
" Hey Babaji, how did Maan come today.? And why at the time when I and Sasha are on about something like everyday. Babajii, he saw me arguing and I argued with him too. He is Maan, no not Maan but my boss.! I argued with my boss. The khadoos won't leave me. He will eat me up alive. Dusht Danav, couldn't he inform he is coming.?? Why the sudden dhamaka.?! Babaji, is there something really wrong with his brain.? I'll have to ask Dadimaa. " she kept on blabbering , unaware that he was listening to all her rants. Though he liked the way, she was cribbing but the moment words like khadoos and Dusht Danav reached his ears, he fumed at her audacity.
" Geet. " he roared, startling her. She scotched back into the table, where she was hiding.
" Babaji, save me please.! " she prayed whispering.
" It's of no use Geet, I know you are here. So come out now. It's an order. If I find you, then it wont be the very best thing for you. So you better come out on your own.! " he warned her. She gathered some courage and emerged out, shocking Maan..
" Were you hiding under the table.? " he asked her shocked, to which she just nodded with a cute pout as well as scared. He chuckled seeing her antics, but soon the words she used for him came ringing back in his ears.
" Wait, what did you just call me under the table.?? " he asked her narrowing his eyes.
" Woh... I... I... " she stammered. Damn he heard her.!!!
" Nothing Sir " she somehow managed to lie.
" Really now.? I thought I heard you calling me Dusht Danav and khadoos. And ohh wait, something wrong with my brain huh.?.!! " he glared at her.
" Arre, that wasn't for you sir, it was for Maan. He is such a Dusht Danav and khadoos I tell you. " she blurt out, just adding fuel to fire.
" GEET.! "
" Yes sir.?? " she asked him innocently not realizing what she did. As soon as she did, she closed her moth with her hands, while frown covered her forehead.
" Geet, you are so going to pay for this now. Just wait.!! " he just glared at her, and stormed out of the conference room while she just sunk in the nearby chair smacking her head.
" Jhalli, they aren't 2 different persons that you were proudly telling him, Maan Sir and Maan are the same.!!. You just called your boss Khadoos and Dusht. Babaji, what is he going to do now.?? I angered him the very first day. He will hang me today, if not eat me alive.!! Babaji, help me.! ." she prayed worried, as she knew Maan wouldn't keep quiet. She left the conference room, carefully trying not to spot him to add to her nervousness but least she knew that was coming up ahead for her, and the Dusht was all ready for his revenge.
