PART 17

A worried and lost Geet descended down the stairs towards the dining table wondering about Maan's reaction over her letter, moreover her feelings the letter possessed. Did he read the letter.? Was that the reason he left early before he would face her.? Was he angry or happy.? How would he react to her letter.? The questions kept ringing in mind as she reached the table and found Dadimaa already seated but there was no sign of him yet. She settled herself, peeking from the corner of her eyes in a hope of seeing him, or to see if he was joining anytime soon. Dadimaa caught her distracted gaze and sensing her restlessness, she informed her of Maan already having left for KC long back. Geet forced a smile and finished her breakfast, disappointed by him. Couldn't he have waited for her.? After all the explanations and apologies the previous night, he left her without informing yet again. Grabbing her bag, she stormed out of KM with a puffed face leaving a grinning Dadimaa behind who could clearly feel the love that had already blossomed between both her children. Once reaching KC, Geet walked into his cabin to find it empty despite him being out of all the mess, which now worried her..was he in trouble again.? She worriedly entered her cabin and dialled his number and found it to be switched off. Though she was confident about him being fine, yet the revelations of the troubles he faced over the past week troubled her. She sat in her cabin aimlessly for an hour rummaging through random files, until the peon informed her of Maan's return. Without wasting another moment, Geet ran towards his cabin and pushed the door open only to find his cabin empty.

Maan.? She called out entering the cabin, but there was no trace of him. She heard the door falling back into its frame and out of no where she was pulled by a strong arm and soon she collided against him, his strong arms crushing her into his soothing embrace. Geet was at first startled with the sudden pull, but as she realized it to be Maan, her alertness turned to relief as the warmth of his embrace washed over her. Reflexively her arms went around his neck, pushing herself more into his embrace. Maan who returned to KC was positive about her waiting for him given his disappearing in the morning, much to her annoyance which he was sure of. As he waited in the corner of his cabin, he saw her rushing into his cabin confirming his doubts. A smile played his lips as he could see the restlessness on her face, the same restless he witnessed during their confrontation. As she entered, calling out for him he simply grabbed her from behind into a bone crushing hug and felt relieved as she willingly wrapped her arms around him in acceptance. His arms tightened around her, inhaling her aroma and he recalled waking up to the most exquisite morning of his life after meeting her for the first time. As he stepped out his bed, a white paper with his name written on it caught his attention. He opened it to find the most captivatingly described emotions, poured out in the form of the letter. It didn't take him even a second to recognize it as Geet's handwriting and with the crumpled paper at the bottom, which he knew to be the impressions of her tears indeed confirming that she left the letter for him, answering his question. A smile of happiness broke across his face as he caressed the letter with utmost love, feeling her presence all over it. The intensity of her confession left him stunned as well as making him elated. Finding no other option, he ran to Dadimaa, eager to share his happiness. Dadimaa felt at peace seeing her grandson so happy, finally achieving the most cherished moment of his life.

He felt Geet stirring in the hug, who was unable to breathe owing to his tight hold on her, he loosened his hold on her and slowly pinned her against the wall. Geet's eyes snapped open feeling the wall against her back as she saw herself caged between the wall and Maan, still in his embrace. Embarrassed, she slowly pulled out the hug and started at his face with a smile, while the blood rushed up her cheeks.

Missed me.? He slowly whispered to her brushing his fingers lightly across her cheek, making her blush harder. She lowered her eyes, as his husky voice, his breath fanning her face and his piercing gaze shook her inside out. Maan tightened his hold on her waist, making her look up in panic with her eyes widened.

Bolo na, did you miss me.? He repeated huskily making her more vulnerable with the growing proximity between the two.

Hmmm.. She hummed closing her eyes smiling at herself. Maan watched her in amusement as she cutely was opening up her heart to him. Slowly Maan rested his forehead on her, felt her relaxing as she comforted herself to the closeness and closed his eyes too. Both stood against the wall, feeling each other's aura seep through their skin. There was no scope of awkwardness left, they were far beyond it.

What hmm.? Say that you missed me.! I want to hear you say it. He whispered lovingly placing a open mouthed kiss on her forehead which was enough to melt the control she had over her heart and her hands went around his neck again, defying all the restrictions her brain shoved towards her.

I missed you. I missed you very much. Not just today, but even when you were in London and every time you were away from me. Don't ever go away from me.! She confessed tightening her hold on his neck. He felt elated noticing her boldness and no tinge of hesitation in accepting her feelings. He smiled in relief as her hold on him said all those unsaid feelings. She was possessive of him and the hold was strong enough to confirm that. She loved him as much as he loved her, yet he wanted to make the moment special for both of them, something that can be treasured forever.

I know how much you missed me. I read the letter you left for me, and I can't even express how exhilarated I was with the intensity with which you poured out your feelings. I was overwhelmed reading that letter, Geet. I would never be able to give words to my feelings like you did. I am truly sorry for making you go through so much, it was never my intention to hurt you. He confessed in trance taking her by surprise and she snapped opened her eyes to see his glorious face inches away from hers, reflecting the happiness that his heart was unable to contain with a smile on his face, but that was not what caught her attention, it was what he said.

You read the letter.? She said with her eyes widening in excitement and the corners of her lips stretching into a broad smile. Maan smiled back at her with the same happiness and tightened his hold her, plastering her completely to the wall. Geet was too lost in his words to realize what he just said, but as she felt his hand snaking up her sides, panicked at once seeing his actions, but was too moved to react.

Ofcourse I did. How could I not read it.? When it was the one I was waiting for. To know about your heart and your feelings, though I didn't expect it to be so early, but it made me even happier than I could ever be. I know you have been restlessly waiting for me to know if I read it, and know my reactions.! Right.? He said placing his lips on her forehead, inhaling her scent. His heart thudded in contentment as he saw his dreams coming true. Geet on the other hand was into a pool of happiness, hearing his words. Though he didn't say anything about his feelings, yet the tenderness and love his kiss left on her skin was enough for her to melt in his embrace. Geet held on to him as he traced his lips over her skin, traveling from her forehead to her nose, to her cheeks and finally stopped a few inches from her supple lips. He abruptly stopped in his actions, wondering if he was forcing her into any of it but as he looked at her moving away from her face, all his apprehensions vanished seeing the glow of happiness on her face which was all he needed and his lips met hers sending ripples down their bodies.

Geet who was growing weak on her knees with each incessant touch by Maan she felt on her skin, was confused with the sudden loss of the feel of his lips on her skin. Just as she was about to open her eyes a shiver of passion ran down her spine as his lips touched hers, evoking the unleashed feelings from the corners of their hearts. The feel of his lips numbed everything as she responded to him with equal fever. Her hands snaked into his hair, threading and fisting on them. The kiss was soft yet passionate, as their breaths mingled and each ravished the distant crevices of heaven. Their lips moved in synchronization as they just kept pulling the other closer, leaving no space of air to seep through. Feeling breathless, Geet tried to break away from the kiss unwillingly and sensing her need to break away, Maan released her from the kiss. Blood rushed to her cheeks realizing that they just shared their first kiss, whereas Maan was too lost in the feel of her lips against his to even take his eyes off her. Unable to hide her blush, Geet hid herself into his taut chest, inhaling his fragrance. As her softness pressed into him, Maan broke out of the effect of the kiss and hugged her closer with utmost need. Just a Maan was about to speak, Geet broke free of the hug and rushed out of the cabin leaving behind a perplexed and a guilty Maan.

Geet entered her cabin with a racing heart and her senses hyperventilating with the kiss. She could feel the blood constantly rushing into her cheeks, making her blush harder by each passing minute. Finding no other option, she hid her face in her hands as the memory of the kiss would simply make her blush harder. Maan who was confused with her sudden reaction, followed her into her cabin worriedly to find her standing with face in her hands. He strode across her cabin and hesitantly touched her shoulder, worried on how she might react. Her sudden walking away made him wonder if he crossed the line which he shouldn't have, yet he was unable to convince himself of it given the way she hugged him without him realizing it.

Geet... He called out to her slowly. Her body softened under his touch much to his surprise. She turned around and hugged him tight, pressing her petite form into his strong one yet again. Though it was not what he expected, nevertheless he let his hands wrap around her form.

I am sorry Geet, I know I shouldn't have done that without your permission. He apologized confusing her with his words. She broke out of the hug to look at him sheepishly. Seeing her perfectly carved face, at peace Maan too stared at her confused.

Why are you saying sorry.?

I thought you were upset and walked away from there... Because of the kiss. But I guess I was totally wrong. He said running a hand through his hair, embarrassed.! Geet frowned hearing his words and cutely pouted and pointed at her red cheeks to show him the reason behind her running away and his doing. Maan chuckled happily seeing the prominent blush from the kiss on her cheeks. Geet gasped as he pulled her closer by her waist and she crashed against him. His hand grazed across her cheeks lovingly as he smiled at her, their eyes locked into each other's.

Is the blush too much to handle or is it me.? He crooned naughtily. Geet playfully hit him and tired to get out of his hold but he only pulled her closer. Their faces where inches apart, his eyes boring into hers oblivious to the world around them. She looked at him, eying him to leave her but Maan nodded in a denial.

First, answer please.! He grinned at her. Geet smiled shyly as his gaze intimidated her. She was stunned at the wonders his gaze had on her heart and body, it was an unbreakable and unchangeable synchronization.

Umm... It was the kiss, first kiss is always the one that makes you hyper. She said blushing deep red and hugging him tightly. Maan shook his head wondering how more adorable could she get and held his life closer to his heart. Geet felt his heart beating rapidly against his chest indicating how her presence affected him, making her grin in happiness. She tightened her hold on him and relaxed, being in her personal heaven. She closed her eyes in peace, realizing how madly she was in love with him.

Maan, your heartbeat is so fast. She giggled into the hug, as the sound of his heartbeat echoed in her ears, significantly sounding peaceful and serene.

When it's so close to you, it's bound to get hyper because the truth remains that it only belongs to you. As the words reached Geet, she felt her eyes brimming with tears of happiness. His words were simple yet they couldn't have been better, she was moved. Her heart swelled with happiness as the words were registered by her heart, his heart was hers and hers only belonged to him. She felt her heart exploding with happiness and suddenly the urge to pour out her feelings crushed her. As her hold on him just kept getting stronger, he sensed the change in her body language and the overflowing emotions between them. Maan knew what was following, yet he didn't want it to be at that moment, he wanted that one moment to be special, the one they would cherish forever.

Maan, I...

Shhh, not now.! I know what you want to say but I want that moment to be special for you. I want to see the happiness on your face when you say those three words which I already know. He said placing a deep and loveable kiss on her hair. Geet broke the hug and looked at him awe, she was clueless about when and how she fell in love with him to such an extent, and it was surreal. The happiness and contentment on Geet's face brightened Maan's smile, although the tears in her hazels were bothering him, knowing how happy she was he let it go. Maan held her close and lowered his head with an intention of kissing her again unknown that Geet was ready to beat him this time. Geet who was watching him in a trance, wanted to grab him in to a kiss and when she saw him lowering his head towards her, listening to her heart she stretched up on her toes and crashed her lips on his. She pulled him harshly by his hair and kissed him breathless while Maan happily responded to his Mishty, sweetly surprised by her boldness. The kiss was more passionate, even though no words were said by either of them, yet the love that they could feel was enough for passion to sweep them away. Maan broke the kiss, feeling breathless though Geet was not ready to give up, her supple lips lingered on his taking enough air and allowing him to do the same, before pulling him to another one. Unable to her hold her breath anymore, Geet broke the kiss, panting heavily with the intensity of the kiss while Maan just kept adoring her, amazed at his side of her.

My life couldn't have given me more than this, I wouldn't ask for more after having you. He said grabbing her into a hug, to which she willingly gave in. Their moment was interrupted by the phone as it screamed breaking the silence of the room. Geet got busy on the call, while Maan stood watching her lovingly until Adi came searching for Geet and was shocked to find Maan with Geet.. As the work piled up with Maan being gone, they unwillingly parted and got busy with the over flowing work, managing to steal loveable glances at one other and steal out a few moments together. Maan noticed the glow of happiness on her face and promised himself to make her day brighter than it was while on the other hand Geet found it hard to control her feelings being around him, yet she decided to respect his wishes and wait for the moment until she could tell him, how much she loved him. As the day ended, both their hearts were in two different worlds of happiness, waiting for the glorious moment.
