The Downpour... Part 31

(Its the longest part.. please please give long comment this time 😊)

Geet felt relief finding a shoulder which soothed her. His easy caresses made her feel to open her heart to him, tell everything which she had been keeping in corner of her little heart.

"Your city is very bad Maan, it's not like what I had dreamed. I was happy in my small world, with Mama and Papaji, both are my best friends. They made me feel everytime that I am not alone but here, I lost this feeling. I feel alone, fear here. I don't want to stay here; I want to go back to them. It was never my dream. This city changing me''

"Shh!!!'' He kept forefinger on her lips, shut her.

He made her look him, wiped her tears, cupped her face dearly and watched her innocent face with his love filled eyes.

"Geet, dreams never become true without having any bad experience. You always have to keep aloof yourself from the whole world and then beautiful dreams appear in your eyes. Never forget that darkness of closed eyes always surrounds dreams but when it became true, life glows. And I know, you are not weak that could not get success over any difficulties of your life. I trust you Geet''

She felt light sharing her heart, and hearing his words only for her. She smiled, forgot where she was but wherever she was, it felt the most secure place in this world which gave her feel of worldly joy.

She nodded slightly, smiled.

"Thank you''

Maan smiled back. "Are you okay?' He wanted to be sure, if she was okay. She said yes.

Then Geet realized their closeness, she moved back but not in nervousness but she was relieved and healed.

"I should go now!''

She left.

Maan had no word to explain his relieved heart which again started beating in peace.

"I understood Geet that you still did not realize your new born feelings. I know you like me, I can see it in your pranks, in your attempt to make me feel happy but you still have to accept it. One day, my love will force you to love me. I promise Geet that even if I don't show my love to you but you will see it yourself and I will wait for the day comes''

Geet was very happy; her face glow was revealing her inner brightness and that been caught by Asha. She watched Geet smile which was not usual but something was in her smile which was indicating a fresh start of something.

"Kya Baat hai Geet, you're looking very happy today?'' Asha came to Geet and casually asked. Geet being in her wonderland could not hide her happiness from her.

"Nothing Ash, Just I'm feeling very-very happy today, without any reason''

"Really!!! That's so great Geet!!'

I know Geet you are hiding something from me. Don't worry girl, that's very easy for me to know the secrets! '' Ash thought.

"Um.. Geet.. Actually I had come to tell you that today I would have to go for a party. It's my friend's birthday today. I'm sorry yaar but you have to go home alone''

She expected from Geet to make sad face but for her utter surprise, Geet was more than happy. It did not affect her much and that confirmed Asha doubt. She left fuming in failure.

Geet herself did not know, why she was happy after meeting Maan. Everything seemed that first time she was looking things with new found eyes. Everything was colorful and cheerful. She did not fear that had to go home alone which always used to give her jitters. It was strange yet amazing.

Day passed smoothly afterward. Geet was standing across road to catch any bus as always she both used to share taxi fair but today she thought for not to spend that much money alone. Bus was not coming and clouds were started to be gathered in sky, alarming everyone that any time soon, it would start pouring down.

Geet was not sacred but she was happily welcoming the small drops of water coming down from dark sky. She wore Dupatta like shawl, clutched bag near chest and started walking on footpath with small and steady and joyful steps. She wanted to enjoy this rain, left idea to get vehicle.

She had to stop in traffic when suddenly Maan eyes fell on her. He was driving back to mansion.

"Geet??But what she doing alone!!!''

He tried to turn car near her but due to traffic could not and then signal got over. Geet took turn, entered in a narrow road which was not so crowded. She suddenly remembered it was the same place where she had hid from Maan that night! She smiled on her foolishness.

"You were stupid Geet!'' She chided herself smiling.

"That still you're!!!''

She heard a male voice and surprisingly turned back; saw Maan was stood, completely wet in rain. Then she realized that drizzle had turned into heavy rain and she was also, had been soaked fully in water.

"What are you doing here Geet!!! Do you know how dangerous it could be haan!!!''

He was angry, but why?'' She thought and then she found he was dragging her toward his car.

"But sir.. ''

"Chup.. Bilkul Chup Geet!!!!''

She shivered with his wet finger touched on her moisten lips. It burned her entire in unknown sensation and she could not response back. Maan made her sit inside and started car. Geet was silent.

"Have you gone mad Geet, what the hell you were doing alone in that empty lane haan!!!''

She was shocked with his sudden anger. Before she could open mouth to speak back,

"What if something bad happened you Geet, did you ever think that!!!''

Maan was strongly fuming. He himself did not know what was bothering him. And when he did not hear her reply.

"Will you say something!!!!''

"Kya bolu mai!!!'' She irritated. "Always you shout on me!!!!'' She made face, turned face toward window, stared rain with longing eyes.

Maan calmed down. He was surprised as why did he scold her but then smiled when saw her totally engrossed looking out.

"Sorry..''

"Hmm.. It's okay!!''

She craved to feel water but knew, he would not let her do this. And suddenly she found car was stopped. She turned him wondering.

Maan slowly bent to her. Geet bend back in shock when found how slowly he was removing gap between them. Her face was worth watching and then Maan hand reached to window knob and slid glass down. She could not even blink her eyes in anticipation and was looking him engrossed.

Maan chuckled inward. Geet was yet not out from his closeness when felt cold drops on her cheeks and shivered and looked out, rain was coming inside through opened window.

"Sir your car would get wet!!!''

She worried but Maan ignored. He started car.

"Don't worry Geet, you enjoy''

She felt overwhelmed. For fair seconds she could not remove her gaze from him. She was not sure about her feelings but whatever it was, it was so beautiful that made her smile. She happily brought hand out of window and felt water and played that made Maan feel pleased.

"Nothing can be more beautiful than I see you smiling, sitting near me Geet''

Though both did not want end of this journey but it had to happen. Near Geet home, he stopped car. He watched Geet and suddenly found sadness in her face. As she was to go out Maan held her hand,

"What happened Geet''

She did not want to go back in that creepy home. Asha was not there and she had no wish to be alone in this rainy night, it made her feel displeased. But how could she tell him the reason!

"Wo,.. Nothing sir, just''

"Geet, will you do a favor for me?''

It seemed, he understood her wish, diverted her mind to other way.

Actually today I want to buy something for my Dadi and sister, something to eat. So can you help me for buying it? I mean I have not much idea about this girlie likes and dislikes.. so..''

"Ice cream!!!''

Geet jumped in mid then composed herself.

"I mean sir, ice cream would be best in this rain, I guess so!!''

Maan chuckled. He knew he was succeeded.

"Can you help me Geet in shopping''

Nothing more she could wish for, happily agreed.

Both were very happy with their individual reasons. They was back after an hour of fun in eating ice cream, sitting in car, in rain and Geet felt like the best day of her life she had spent today.

"Thank you for everything sir''

Maan was silent, he wanted her to remember this day for ever. He wanted to share a small part of his feeling today.

Geet waited for his reply but wondered to see him engrossed in thought. She gently nudged his shoulder. "What happened sir''

"Geet, can we become friends!!''

Maan asked straightway, without giving any complications to his words and Geet shocked. The bond she had tied secretly in heart with him, it was his wish too! But this unexpected question made her feel numb. She could not say anything and that made him feel disappointed.

"It's okay if you don't want '''

"Haan!!'

Maan looked her in disbelief, did he hear right!!' But she was smiling. He couldn't believe his luck, felt extreme urge to hug her, take her in his carved arms, and kiss her till eternity. He was being mad inward but outward, he was so formal.

Don't know why but Geet expected him to kiss her cheek like always he had done. Her face became redden with this weird thought, she wished like to run and hide in her room, under duvet, escape from his pleasurable togetherness. She hurried to come out from car when Maan held her hand and forced to turn to him. She was foolishly looking him and them he kissed her cheek like always and smirked.

She lost came out of car and closed door behind . Looked his car was going away, far and she smiled with whole heart.

Precap : "Who are you Beta?'' Dadi was looking in wonder to Geet who was looking all messed up, fully soaked in rain, holding a big , heavy gift pack in arms with difficulties..
