"Babaji what he thinks of himself? Don't know which girl ... "

Geet could not think further. She felt awkward, very uneasy thinking about Maan with any other girl.

"Geet, why are you bothering if he was with any girl? What you have to do with his personal life. Just leave him!!"

She was pacing toward her desk, lost in her thoughts, blabbering without looking properly and suddenly collided with a girl.

"Ouch!!!"

Geet saw it was a girl of same age and she was rubbing her shoulder giving annoying expression.

"I am sorry!!" Geet said

"It's okay, but you should have looked properly, where you were heading to!! '' Girl spoke annoyingly. "Look, all papers dispersed everywhere!!'' "She made cry face looking scattered papers on floor.

"I'm very sorry Ma'am, you don't worry, I'll arrange it!''

"Pinky.. You can call me pinky and thanks'' Girl smiled. "By the way if I am not wrong, you are Geet, Asha friend right?".

Geet nodded, smiling back.

"Hm, Btw, why were you in hurry? Had you been in Maan sir's cabin?" Pinky bent to collect her papers.

"How did you know?" Geet also helped her.

"It's very easy to guess my dear. Whenever any new girl comes she gets instant crush over him but he, never gives damn to any of them and then girl gets heartbreak and comes back in hurry like you did'' Pinky chuckled.

"May be, because he would have been in affair. I mean his girlfriend..."

"Girlfriend?? No Geet he doesn't have any girlfriend. Not that he hates girls but not likes them also. Actually he is very family type man, never been seen with any girl other than his own family. You know Geet, the girl he would select na for marriage, she would be the luckiest girl of this earth and you know, all girl of this office.. no even of whole country want to marry him. Don't know whom he would select"

Pinky occupied in arranging papers but Geet became confused. She walked back to her place thinking rationally about what little information she had got about Maan.

"If Maan doesn't have any girl in his life then that mark, where did this come from?"

Though she tried to brush off these thoughts from mind but again and again it was coming back to make her uneasy and then suddenly, she remembered their morning encounter.

Her face transformed into the most frightened expression, ever she had been experienced. She was shocked to the core realizing it was her own mark!

"Babaji!!!''

For the fair minutes she could not give any consolation words to her rapidly beating heart. She was highly embarrassed with the thought how she had touched him and then that mark..

Her face turned into darkest tone of red in embarrassment. She decided not to face Maan for today!!

It was lunch break. Everyone left to pantry for catching few hour of refreshment. Geet was waiting for Asha to come as she was new there and did not have idea where to go and all the process there. When Asha did not come Geet called her.

"Geet, sorry yaar I'm not in office. Actually it was very urgent me to come out so now I'll be back after an hour. Please Geet manage your-self na, only for today''

"It's okay Ash!!'' They hang up.

Geet felt so alone, hearing Ash was not there. Her stomach was making sound due to starve. Thinking to get some snacks she searched her purse for money and surprise to know, had 100 Rs less in bag.

"Where did I drop it??'' She started to look for it, everywhere in her cabin but did not find. She tried to think where could have it been lost but couldn't remember anything. She comes out from cabin and peeped in hall. For her luck it was empty. Thanking Babaji she started searching all over on floor but money was nowhere.

"Where can it vanish!!!''

She returned back in cabin, again tried one time more to look there around. She was sitting under table, thinking where supposed to go now, "Babaji, rats are playing hide and seek in my stomach, and this lunch break is also about to be over, what should I do now!!''

"What are you doing here Geet!!!''

When a familiar voice made her drew up in sudden and her head hit with table hard.

"Ouch!!''

"Geet are you okay?''

Maan bent down to look her in concern.

"Ji, I'm fine' Geet feeble voice came out from mouth and she tried to get up when Maan raised his hand toward her. Geet looked up to him then his hand and came out without taking his support. She could not meet eyes with him.

"Seems she is very angry as yet!!'' Maan thought seeing her behaving unusually, but least did he know, she was having all shy-shy feeling facing him.

"Ahem!! ' He coughed. "Geet wo.. Did you complete the work I had given in morning!!'

"work ??'' She thought then suddenly remembered that she had not finished it yet. She shook head. "I'm sorry sir it's not finished yet. Just give me one hour I'll do it fast!! ''

Maan sensed that she was looking not so fresh, something was sure there which was bothering her but what?' , He eagerly wanted to know reason but had fear in asking directly, though he tried.

"Are you alright Geet? I mean ..''

"I'm fine sir, you don't need to bother about me?''

Geet had no other option than to talk him straightway otherwise she would have died in her own embarrassment. Many things were roaming inside her nave mind and weak heart which were enough to handle by her, she needed time.

Maan silently looked her for few seconds then left. He was not sure what happened but whatever, it was troubling his heart.

"Did I do anything wrong?'' He was not sure. With dampen feeling he came back toward cabin when found Geet, was going toward lift. "Where is she going and why she is looking worried!!'

He could not keep peace of heart, just followed her. Geet for the last time wanted to check in lift as she had remembered, after paying fair to taxi money would have been dropped in lift itself, when she had collided with Maan.

She stepped in lift and tried to look in every corner when found someone presence in behind. Abruptly she turned and saw, Maan was standing with crossed arms, in his signature attitude and lift had been stopped.

She flustered seeing him so close. Her eyes automatically started searching something on floor and then saw, his shoes were stepping to her. She moved back. Her back touched with wall, she had anticipated him to stop at least now but Maan was moving slowly closer and finally stopped when she had been cornered between him and his both arms, which were rested on wall and his face was so near to her.

Geet was silently waiting for his next move, what would he do??'' But Maan was just making her more nervous. He was enjoying the jitteriness in her; her face was turning red with his effect.

When Maan sensed, it was getting very difficult for her to handle more, he lifted her face holding her chin softly and looked in her eyes.

"What happened Geet?'' He was restless to know the reason behind her disturbance.

Geet was struggling in strange emotional turmoil. One side she was feeling pleasurable experience for Maan. His closeness, his gestures, his talks were confusing her and other side, her own promise from herself that she would always keep her feeling for him as friend, but not in office. Here he would be his boss only but the very first encounter with him shook the certainty of her ambition. Her heart had started reacting on his one word and mind, begun to think the reason of his behavior. She had been trapped in between her own deficiency of handling things and she felt so weak before him.

Maan was waiting for her reply. "Geet!!''

She looked him. His eyes tried to talk with hers but could not. Something was blocking him to reach her heart, may be her hesitation or hatred. But no, he was not seeing hatred then why she was not talking to him'' Maan was anxious to find out. What was disturbing her?'

Geet closed her eyes and tried to compose herself as she had to come out of this situation at any cost. She opened it and looked him straightway, then said

"Wo actually sir I have lost something somewhere here so was just looking out that only. You don't need to worry for me sir I'm fine, nothing happened me!!'

Maan moved back at once, having nothing to ask for further. He found she was not wishing to be near him. It pained his heart but he did not showed outward on face. He nodded, opened lift and left out, leaving Geet drawn in her own sadness to make him unhappy.
