He created a big natak drinking haldi wala milk while she glared it him every time he tried to say enough.
The drive to the college was silent. She didn't protest to him dropping but made it clear she would take a bus in the evening.
Geet avoided her lunch but by latter afternoon she was really famished. She decided to get the salad from the college canteen. Complete two weeks had passed with him cribbing for break fast ..lunch dinner.. while she just ignored him. He packed her dal chawal every day. Which she just brought back & he ate it for dinner.
It was another normal day for them.. he cribbing for breakfast & making her dal chawal with a hope atleast she would eat it today. He dropped her to college. Like usual geet avoided his packed lunch & went to canteen to get her salad but it was all done by then. She was not sure if she wanted to have the lunch he packed. After thinking for a while she gave in to her grumbling stomach. It was not question of her self control anymore. The changes he brought in her in 2 weeks was nothing to do with her feelings towards him.. but it was changing her from with in.. it kind of weakened the shackle that she tied around herself. It started with her anger... she would have never spoken to him.. but she was not only speaking she was expressing her anger too. Maan was glad she did.
She was willing to eat.. she slept on the bed, though he had to hold on to her.. he could trade anything to get her to live a normal life. Falling in love with him was something he didn't even dream off. He just wanted her to have simple normal life.
Geet took out the lunch box & laid on the table. She ate it all & sat their licking her fingers. No wonder Dev loves dal chawal so much she thought. She made a bit odd burp! She bit her tongue & looked around consciously. There was this unconscious happiness on her face that day. Her face was lit up with a shade of red than the usual pale self.
The taste of the food stayed in her mouth the whole day.. & off course she craved more for Indian food now.. taste of salt.. taste of spice.. ummm she was restless.. she cursed him all the while going back home.
Maan was shocked when he came back from office that evening. Geet was in the kitchen & the whole house was filled with the aroma of food. She was cooking less & tasting more.. he smiled discarding his tie walking towards the kitchen. He too dipped his finger into the curry on the stove. She looked at him curiously. He pounced at the whole dish..
ek min.. she snapped his hand. Abhi nahi
maan couldn't wait.. nor did he make her feel the change. It behaved like it was normal day.
He was thrilled to see the empty lunch box in the basin. His eyes actually welled up. He immediately hid it & arranged the food she prepared on the table.
Before even she could settle he served himself the pulkas she made with dal mahkni & dum aloo. She brought the raita.. he was licking his fingers.. & geet was lost in relishing food. She was really excited. Every bite she took her cheek was turning red. Her nose was cutely turning red too. She snorted her nose & ate her dinner like a small kid. Maan sat & just admired her. Not that she overate.. but she was relishing her every bite. She was licking her fingers .. she got conscious & looked at Maan. He looked away & left to kitchen to avoid making her further cognizant.
He put the milk on stove to make dessert. He could only think of simple custard. He cut the fruits & put the custard in the fridge to cool.. after geet finished her dinner.. maan served her the custard.

geet almost pounced at the bowl .. but then got little conscious.
Maan just left the bowl in her hand as if he didn't notice anything. He made all kind of noises relishing the custard. She bit her lip & ate the custard. It was cold.. yummy.. umm the blend of fruit was just perfect. she again burped.. maan continued to ignore making his funny noises.
They both cleared the kitchen & went to the bedroom. Before going into the washroom, maan pecked her cheek.. thanks for the lovely dinner
