Every corner screamed out her condition. Only now everyone understood why Geet slowly handed over everything to Dev. The inner fight of herself to mere live!! was living so difficult??? that death seemed easier!!!
Meera those words sunk into Dev now. Even Daadi wanted to see Geet move on.
Secretly Daadi, Meera & Dev began to hunt a suitable match of her. It was not easy with the widow tag. Months had passed & Geet only seemed more aloof. They so much tried to talk to her but she had her ways to escape. They finally found a suitable alliance. Now it was to talk to her.
Meera brought a pink color suit to geets room.
Meera ' Geet yeh suit kaisen hain
Geet briefly looked away from the book she was reading & said ' aacha hain
aapko suit karega
meera smiled ' yeh aap ke liyen hain
Geet looked at the dress again & then at Meera gauging wat she was suggesting
Geet ' nahi Meera main aisen kapden nahi phen thi
meera tried bit indirectly & then finally softly told her abt the guy who is coming to see her. Geets heart almost stopped.
Aap log aisen soch bhi kaisen sakten hain she questioned each one of them
Daadi ' aapke samne puri zindagi hain beta
Geet ' yeh zindagi bhi tho unki hi hain Daadi ma
Dev ' bro aapko aisen dehken kabhi khush nahi rahenge
Geet looked away
Dev ' infact bro aapne aap ko kabhi maaf nahi kar payenge
he will never be able forgive himself
Geet ' maafi ke layek tho main nahi hoon.. main ne unhe dhoka diya.. main ne aapne vachno ka palan nahi kiya.. wo saat pheron ka kasam. Khabhi na saat chodne ki kasam.. aur main ne.. she broke down with her heart wrenched with her guilt

Meera ' yeh kaisen baat kar rahen aap. Aaj kal aisen nahi hota hain. Kisi ke marne se zindagi tho nahi ruk sakti.
Dev ' zindagi to kudrat ki dena hain. Aap uske saat asien nahi kar sakti
Geet ' haan main samjthi hoon.. issen liyen jee rahi hoon.

There was no room for discussion especially with the determination with which Geet spoke.
It was on & off discussion at their house trying to convince Geet to move on. But it only made her more determined to be Maans. She was already burdened under the guilt of deceiving him on the wows, she took of joining him beyond this life & now all this talks only made her more guilty.
In mid of this depressed atmosphere was a beautiful joy of new life coming in Meera & dev's life. It was just wat the family needed. Everyone was looking forward to this zeal of happiness, even Geet began to see a new ray of hope. All her little happiness came shattering down when meera's mom didn't let her go near Meera during the 7th month rituals & then the little one. The life she had began to live, the little happiness she seeked even that was snatched from her.
A women is considered complete when she carried a child in her womb & the realization she could never have one of her own & the pain of not even allowed to shower her motherly love on the little one was difficult bare. Geet only adored the baby from far.
The constant warnings from ladies to not let Geet anywhere near the child only was making it difficult for Dev & meera. How much ever they tried to ease the situation things went out of control. Finally Geet decided to move to a ashram.
Daadi's suffered a minor heart attack with her decision. Everyone was torn apart trying to hold their little family together. After giving it a deep thought Dev suggested Geet to pursue her career.
Meera ' why don't u dream to be a lecturer.
Geet had long forgotten all abt it.
But then at the present scenario it looked wise to pursue her career. She had to upgrade herself . Geet applied in lots of colleges & finally with lot of persuasion from Dev she decided to do her phd. It was actually well thought plan from Dev. He was brought up in US & he knew how the fast pace life & culture absorbs u into it. The most impt part being her freed from this place where she had to live the tag of widow!!.. a new place.. new life.. may be she will find her new Maan!!! bitter dream.. but now felt more desirable!!
