His poetry is worth applause! In fact, I read it twice. 😊

Avi, I don't remember what I'd written then but that I did write something. That was my first attempt at Urdu poetry. 😳

Na chodungi tera haath
Ummeed hai mujhe, marte dum tak dega tu mera saath

Bandhan hai ye tera mera, sukh dukh baantne ka
Na waqt hai abhi tera yun zindagi se rukh modne ka

Tu hi toh hai zindagi meri
Tujhse judi hai har ek saans meri

Na chodo mujhe yun tanha is safar mein
Tere sang jeena hai aur marna bhi teri baahon ke ghar mein

Phir se banayeinge hum wo khushiyon ka aashiyan
Jiske dekhe thay sapne, jahan jhoomungi teri khushboo mein, o meri jaan

Na chodungi tera haath
Ummeed hai mujhe, marte dum tak dega tu mera saath..!
