PART - 8

MAAN is sneezing badly as he catches cold due to slepting on floor,but he dont showed it and went to his office. Geet felt gloomy and broken. She turn silent by the shock she recieved from the life. She dont felt like talking to anyone and locked herself in their room. Dadima came to call her for breakfast. She obeyed her silently but lost in the dual of thought so hadly eat anything. Dadima get worried for her as whole day she stayed gloomy and didnt eat anything. Maan took appointment for her. In evening when he returned he is suffring from cold and cant even take medi.coz it doesnt suits him. Maan without taking rest took her to hospital for her check up. Doc do her test and prescribed some tablets. She also gave instruction regarding her food. In all while Geet not reacted for once on anything. She sat,walk and react like some kind of robot. She doesnt sence anything. Aayan's betrayal wounded her soul. The person she love and trust more than herself,leave her so casually,added blamed on her.

This incidentt make her lifeless that she cant react on anything. Maan felt more bad looking her so gloomed and dull. Both reached to KM and she straight went to their room. Dadima asked from where they are coming. Maan lied that she is ill that y tey go for her check up. Dadima believed him bcoz she herself feeled that Geet is unwell. Dadima noticed his condition and worried more as her both children were unwell. She know he cant even take medi.so home remadies is only proved helpful. She made kara for him and unwillingly he gulped in one go. After that he went to call her and found her crying. She sat in a corner of the room curled up in herself,wrapped her legs in her arma and cried constantly. Maan felt shattred as he dont know why she is reacting like this. He stepped towrds her and and sat on his knees. His stretcehd arm moved back coz of hesitation.

'Geet..',he called her in a broken voice. Geet rested her head on her arms,giving no reply to his summon. He scared more. 'Geet look at me pls and tell me why are u crying?'


'i dont want this baby Maan. Aayan dont want us.',she said fridgly. She stood up and went to window.


Maan turned stunned hearing her words. He clamped her both arms and gave a strong shake. He made her look at him.'kya kaha tumne? U wanna abord our baby? R u mad? Have u any idea what r u talking about?',Maan felt annoyed with her mood swings.


Geet jerkly removed his hands and shout on him.'nahi hai ye tumhara kuchh bhi. Samjhe tum. Nahi uthana mujhe ye bojh.nahi uthana...',she repeats sencelessly.


Maan clenched her both hands and pulled her to him. She wriggling but he stand in same posture until she give up. When she stop wriggling,Maan loosen his grip and cupped her face. Geet glance his tensed face from her teary red eyes. She again strt repeating that she dont want the baby.

'Geet look at me and listen carefully.first you just tell me y u feel the baby a burden?',he asked contently.

She stare him suspeciously and lowred her eyes,'i dont want this baby. Iska koi future nai hai. Kal ko bada hoke ye mujhe blame kare,its better main use is duniya me lau hi nai.',her fear is clearly reflecting from her asscent.

Maan got what fear is scaring her. He again made her look at him. Both glance in each other's eyes. Geet sobbing conti. Maan wiped off her tears with his thumbs tenderly.

'Geet u hav a doubt that i dont gave my love to a baby,it deserves. You have a doubt that i wont love the baby as i do to my own offspring? Speak up yahi doubt hai na tumhe?(he glanced in her eyes. His face is contend and voice have a strength)Then today i promised you,is bachhe k alawa kabi humari zindagi me koi or baby nai aayega.',He placed his hand on her abdoman. 'baby i dont know ki tum girl ho ya boy lekin ek baat aaj apke papa apse kehna chahte hai. You are your Papa's Angel. Or papa humesha apse bahut pyar karenge. Or apke alwa or koi baby is ghar me nai aayega.' A tear drop falls from her almond eyes on his hand. He looked upwrds and glanced on her face. He lifts her chin up.'Geet maine dil se ise apna mana hai or humesha ye mera hi bachha rahega. Isliye i warned u. Dont u dare called my baby a burden. Ye akela nahi hai hai. Iske Papa humesha iske sath honge har kadam pe har safar me.',Maan wiped her tears and caress her hairs.',her halted breath converts into content one. Her heart wants to believe on is words. The reason is unknown but his actions composed her anger,frustration and unknown fears. She turn mute dont know what to say and how react. She always accqused him,blamed him and today he is the only one who bcom her strength to live life again.


Maan entwined her hand and took her to outside for dinner,when both saw Dadima in their room. Her detestful glare told them that she hears each and every word of their conversation. Both turn numb. Maan moved to make her clear but without hearing to him she moved from there silently.

PART - 9


Maan read his Dadi's dissappoint face. She saw him scaredly.'Maan...',her voice chocked in her throat in fear of coming situation.

'dekho tum pareshan mat ho main baat karta hu dadima se.i m sure wo mweri baat ko samjhengi.',He said confidently.

Both ran behind her. Dadima was sitting on a rocking chair in her room,losting in her own thought world. Maan steadily move towrds her. Geet stood near the door. He sat near Dadima and placed his hand on hers,but she snatch back her hand and turn her recented gaze.

'dadima i know apne jo b suna usse apko dhakka laga hai but pls pehle meri puri baat sunn leejiye.',Maan pleads softly.

'ab kya sunane aaye hai ap Maan? Jhoot pe jhoot ap bole ja rae hai wo b ek aisi ladki k liye jo na jane kiske bachhe ki maa banne wali hai?e,she snap back.

'pls dadima isme Geet ki koi galti nai hai.aap bina pura sach sune kisi decision pe kaise pahunch skti hai.'Maan argued but in a tender way.

'aap pls Maan pe naraz mat hoiye unki ko galti nai hai.'Geet broke her silence to defend him.

'ap to chup hi rahiye.apse to hume waise b koi umeed nai thi,lekin ye karengi aap ye b nai socha tha. Or Maan aap? Apne b humse jhoot bola hume dhoka diya.'she blamed both.

'nai Dadima aap galat samjh rai hai.mai khud apko sab kuchh sach batane wala tha.'

'kab? Bachhe k paida hone k baad? Maan pls leave me alone na to hume kuchh sunna hai or na kuchh janna hai.',she orderd bossily.

'dadima main apko bina sach bataye nai jaunga,firr chahe apka jo b faisla ho. Lekin main Geet ka sath b nai chhodunga.',Maan stood up and told her everything from the day one happned btween them. He told everyting without hiding. Dadima hear stonly. She dont react over anything. She sat silently and stare with her blank eyes. Even Maan dont get what she is thinking right now. Wheather she believed him or not. Geet trying to speak up but Maan held her hand and leave her room with her. Whole KM dipped in a gloom. Geet felt guilty. She blamed herself for this mess. Dadima too lost in her thoughts and Maan get tensend dont know what she decided for Geet. As he cant leave both. He raoming in his room and thinking about the solution of this prob. Whole night spend restlessly. Next day Dadima dont came for.bfast. Maan feed her forcily and went office coz Dadi denied to talk to anyone. Maan felt fussy. He get disturbed. Day passed very sadly for all 3. In eveng when he came and found the same dullness,his heart wrenched. As much he tries to make all happy,sit goes round up. His health himself was not well. Today he coughed too with sneezing.


'Maan apki tabiyat to kal se b zada khrab ho gai hai.',she said with a conserned.


'oh!thats all fine.no need to worry about that. Dadima ne kuchh kaha?',the more he cared about is his dadima.

She nodded no and his face turn long. He went for a change. Bot hardly eat anything. Geet gave him a medi.but he denied as he cant. Geet now feeling more guilty. When he slept on floor she came to check him. His forhead his burning with feaver. Geet immediately covered him and switch off the ac. She think for whole night and make up her mind.


Next day she wake up early i the mrng and packed her belongings to leave the KM. Before Maan awake she left the room and straight went to dadima's room. She leave letter there and moved out. Dadima come out from washroom and her eyes caught the letter. She read and find that Geet is leaving KM,forever. She also apolozise and pleads to Dadima that she forgive Maan as he he needs her most. Dadima eyes welled up and she ran outside. Geet was alredy reached to main gate,when she hears Dadima's voice. She is calling her. Geet turned and saw her coming with pace step towrds her. Geet alarmed for her as she dont want troubling her anymore. She ran towrds her to stop her,but in this her ankle twisted and she falls down. Dadima's eyes widned and she came more fastly to hold her. Geet is wincing in pain.

'ye kya kiya apne beta? Apko pata hona chahiye is halat me bhagna apke liye sai nai hai. Lag gai na apko?',Dadima scold her but politely. Geet forgot her pain and saw her affecionate eyes. How much pain she gave to this lady but forgotting everything she only cares about her.


'aunty main theek hu.'

'chup bikul chup,ek to hum aunty nai dadima hai samjhi aap or dusre app kahi nahi jayengi. Ye apka ghar hai or aap yahi rahengi.'she shut her mouth. Meanwhile Maan too came there. He saw her in pain. Dadima orderd him and he took her inside in his strong arms. Dadima quickly made kara for Maan and boiled oil for Geet. She come in their room and gave glass him to drink so may he get som relief. She sat near her anddipped her fingers in oil to gave massage to her.

'pls aunty,(she stared)i mean dadima.aap pls ye mat keejiye. Main khud kar lungi.',she felt bad and awkwrd both as this elderly woman doing massage to her twisted foot...
