You know, in this one chapter, there was a spark of hope. There was a new form of excitement which Maan felt and it kind of reached out to me.

Adi is a friend who is an essential requirement for someone like Maan; someone who doesn't normally talk and express what he feels but when he's angry, he easily jumps the gun and only later realises how hurtful he's been. The way Adi dealt with the situation at hand, I really liked it. Though he was angry at his friend was making such a big blunder, he decided to kick him in the back and then give the advice he was in need of. It was indeed his push that made Maan finally think harder and come up with something.

With the renewed zeal that Maan is planning to make his wife happy, it does make my annoyance with him a little less. Even though I wasn't angry on him earlier as well, I was miffed with him not actually doing something to set things straight, he was only thinking on the lines of having made a mistake and of thinking that he will do something. Now that he has made some effort, I appreciate him for that. But I'm really amazed that it's been seven years of their marriage and he never planned a surprise before.

Now that he is doing something, it's good, but I think all the efforts he's making are not what are needed at the moment. His wife is most probably not the kind of woman who'll have a big fight with her husband wherein he accuses her of things she could never dream, and then be all happy to get a diamond ring, forgetting all the hurtful words. Nope, I don't think it's going to be as effective as Maan talking his heart out to her when she's ready to listen. But I'll wait to see how you unfold the extent of the damage done and the following, much needed sewing back of wounds.
