Ok, I know I have reserved a dabba somewhere, but I just felt like booking a new reservation, just for the heck of it.

Part 1

"The seven year hitch." The name itself had me intrigued. I knew for sure that it had nothing to do with a "itch."

I just was waiting to see what was the hitch was. Hitch is also a hiccup namely, a temporary thing. So, I am hoping that whatever folly Maan has made, will have a happy resolution eventually. As I started reading the first chapter, the crisp descriptions drew a clear picture and brought the whole scene alive in front of my eyes.The dark miasma that has spread over his life is affecting everything around him.

"I never intended to hurt you but I guess I can't take those words back, as once spoken they hold their own existence, own meaning and power..."

No truer words were ever written.Supposedly, the tongue is the strongest muscle of our body and the way we wield it sometimes, it is the sharpest weapon we possess.

But one thing I am glad about is that they are communicating. I loved how Geet took the first step forward and without any ego, apologized. To her it was not about playing the blame game. Her relationship was far more important than who was right. It does not mean that she is not hurt or their problems are resolved, as Maaan clearly notices this, but at least the first step to resolution has been taken. I loved this mature Geet very much.

I am so very glad you decided to write a story Onir. We really would have missed out on an awesome story if not.

Now on to the next part to see what is this "Hitch" Mr. Midas has created.

Part 2

It is so clear that they love each other so much, but it's sad when we start taking for granted the very people who mean the world to us. We feel that if we do the things that we think they want or need,

we will finally get to spend more time with them, or that they will be happier with us. In our quest to give them a "lifestyle". we forget to look around and ask our loved ones what they actually need. If we just ask, we'd know that what they actually want from us is but a little of our time. What they need from us is for us to show them that in the the list of priorities they come first.

And this is what I am seeing in Maan and Geet's relationship. he has forgotten something important. It's either her birthday or their Anniversary. But it is not just about him forgetting that one day. I think it is a folly that Maan has committed in a long line of follies and perhaps it was the straw that broke the donkey's back, namely Geet in this case.😆

You could see Geet's frustration when she was talking about the kids missing Maan

Oh man when she asks him to come to bead and wait's in anticipation for midnight, really i felt so bad for Geet. To be anticipating so much and to be not even wished, taht must have hurt.

Hello!! Mr. Maan Singh Khurana have you herd of things called reminders. 😡

One plus point for Maan though, he noticed that she had a makeover. That means he really looks at her. I liked that part about him.😉

There is a song by Kenny Rogers called "Buy me a rose." I don't know if you've ever heard it, but it fits this situation perfectly.I love that song, very beautiful.

He works hard to give her all he thinks she wants
A three car garage, her own credit cards
He pulls in late to wake her up with a kiss good night
If he could only read her mind, she'd say:

Buy me a rose, call me from work
Open a door for me, what would it hurt
Show me you love me by the look in your eyes
These are the little things I need the most in my life
