I was not able to understand why it took whole 3 years for him to leave this world. On that fateful day 3 years back, I still remember, I went to meet him, he was as usual heavily drunk, he talked about the ongoing project, he was quite ambitious about it, I did not know how to tell him, I had thought he must have seen it in news, it was the breaking news, the building toppled down, as soon as the news broke the office phone is been ringing, I had to switch off my mobile also. The market was down our reputation collapsed, the investors were pestering. Geet was already very unhappy, first her pregnancy, then the news of his illicit affair with her cousin and now this project; she has gone insane with mental pressure.

I called her to assist me to tell him, she came and without any formalities shouted, "so Palak is your daughter" he gave her a drained look, he was a licher but still he mantained a mask, giving her no hint about his affairs; he was rather too drunk or too humilated, he said "every man wants his blood to be reborn and with you not able to carry my child I had to find someone, and who would be better then your beautiful cousin, by the way she is quite a peice, you can never match her tempo"

I was taken aback by the way he shamelessly said all this, she was fuming, "why then you let her marry someone else, you should have divprced me and married her" he smirked, "and loose a wonderful architect like you, I am not that stupid. I need a lot a money and your desig with Arjun's brain is a perfect match" he walked near the french window looking att the sky, "and for me sky is the limit"

I was baffaled, how will I tell my wife how her brother thinks about me and his wife. I was speechless, she came forward and grabbed his collar, "sky, sky is the limit, then let me tell you Mr. Dev Kapoor, there is no sky but just limit, look at this" and she switched on the TV, the news was still running, the site was shown, there were 4 deaths, he looked at the screen with a shocked look and then looked at me "this is our project" I just nodded, he rubbed his head and then held his chest, he was about to fall when he balanced himself by holding the window frame, and before I could understand he was falling down the 10th floor, wothin seconds he touched the ground.

I was shocked, I could not belive, she pushed him, I looked at her, she was relaxed, "I will tell the police I pushed him" she said calmly.

"No you will do no such thing" came the voice from the door, it was Anwesha, my wife, "We can tell them the truth, he saw the news, was too shocked, held the window frame and fell down" she looked at her and hugged her, "I am sure he had an heart attack after hearing the news, no one will know Geet no one he deserved it"

I could not belive my simple wife, who loved her brother, was taking her side.

We rushed downstairs and took him to the hospital, Geet was quite, everyone thought she was shocked, Anwesha was also quite, I had to deal with everyone, I said as Anwesha had asked me to.

He was drunk and reports showed he had a sevre heart attack, he had multiple fractures, but he survived, and went in coma.

Anwesha asked Geet to go to her parents, and she agreed and left after few days.
