Yash went upstairs to check weather geet is fine or not…he opened the door to see geet is sleeping and meera reading some magazines….
"How is she?"
He asked entering…..
"She is fine.. Because of the medicine effect she felt drowsy and fell asleep…"
"hmm…. Hope she recovers soon.. I am so scared meera…"
He cried hugging her… he felt so helpless seeing geet in this condition….Meera consoled him… she is also in the same situation….both stayed beside geet… It was now evening… Dadima came inside to check on them….She sat beside geet and looked at her innocent face… she felt so bad to see a nave girl in such horrible condition….she brought tabeez and tied around her wrist…even maan wont believe in such things she has her own beliefs and maan won't say anything against her….when she heard the condition of geet from maan… she went to nearby dargha and prayed for geet….
After tying on her wrist she caressed her hair lovingly…
"How is she now..?"
She asked yash who was just watching them….
"She is sleeping from the morning… after she wakes up we can see her condition…"
"hmmm… I hope she recovers quickly… such a innocent beautiful girl she is…"
Dadi looked at both yash and meera who were looking so sad…
"Yes she is… she is my best friend…"
Yash said admiring his sweet best friend…
"Meera… I think it is late now… you go home… your dad must be worried…. Don't worry.. We are here to take care of her…. you can come tomo…"
Yash informed as it is already late now and meera's house is far away..at first meera hesitated to leave as she can't leave her only best friend… but yash and dadi kept on insisting her so she left to her house…
Later that evening after maan returned from his hospital he went to check up geet…she gained her conscious and was still in shock.. yash tried to engage her but she remained quite…
Maan came inside the room to check and saw both yash and geet were silent…Geet looked at maan who is standing before her… She was totally blank… He gave a smile and sat next to yash…
"How are you feeling geet?"
Maan asked to break the silence but she remained quite.. the shock she went through is something very deep and to recover it is very difficult…Maan felt a bit sad seeing her sitting lifelessly….He nudged yash and gestured him to come out with him….both went out and closed the door behind..
"Yash did you try to talk with her…did she say anything?"
"No bro.. she cried a lot then she kept quite.. her silence is killing me…"
"Hmmm.. we need to break this… tell me what she loves the most..?"
"Bro she loves to admire the nature… she loves flowers and yah… she is crazy for dogs… she wanted one but being lonely she didn't get a dog…bro may be we shall gift her a dog.. you also know na a dog's love caring nature can bring her back… what you say bro?"
Maan thought for a minute.. he don't like dogs but being a doctor he suggested many of his patients to have a pet because pets are big stress buster to any….
"hmmm…Okay yash… I will get one.."
"But bro how can you? I mean you don't like dogs na…no problem I will get one…"
"No yash you look after her I will go and get… it is not a problem for me.."
For a mere second maan thought.. he is going to buy a dog… that to for a girl.. but then he brushed off the thoughts thinking he is helping a patient…
After sometime geet went to sleep without speaking with anyone… Members of the family came to talk with her but she was totally silent…
Later that night everyone had dinner except geet , yash and maan as he went out…all tried to feed her but she was in her deep sleep…
Geet felt a cold wetness on her toes…she opened her eyes and got scared of sudden feel… then next to her she saw a white fluffy puppy…at first she thought it was a dream then the puppy licked her nose nearing her made geet to believe that it is the cute reality.. she always dreamt of having a pet but her parents never allowed and after coming to city she got busy in her work…she cuddled the puppy in her arms..
"Bow bow.."
It barked cutely making geet to chuckle…
"Awww where is your home? Are you alone baby?..."
She asked caressing the puppy where it licked geet's face cuddling into her embrace….
Maan and Vicky stood near the door and both were smiling seeing geet responding and smiling and to their surprise the dog is very much comfortable with geet as they both are buddies…she started to play with the puppy forgetting the world… she started to talk with the puppy kissing its nose… Maan admired geet and her innocence… he felt sad remembering her scared face and how much trauma this innocent girl has faced… after some time the puppy slept in geet's arms….
Geet looked at the door seeing Vicky and Maan standing looking at her…
"Umm Vicky whos dog is this?..."
She asked softly still having a fear….vicky came near her and took her hand in his…
"it is gift for you… from us.."
He said caressing her hand….
"For me?"
She got shocked and was really happy…. Tears started to well up in her eyes….
"Why?"
She whispered feeling overwhelmed…
"Because I want my stupid friend back…"
He said and both chuckled….Maan was admiring both having a smile on his face….
"Am sorry…"
She said feeling guilty for creating all this mess for them…
"Hey stupid stop… am happy that you're talking now… I thought I have lost you…"
"Yash I am scared…"
She was not able to forget yesterday horrified incident….her thoughts went back to the horrified night… she jerked fearing thinking about it… Maan sensed that she is thinking about the incident and he wants to stop it…
"Yash you haven't introduced your friend to me.."
He came near them breaking the thoughts of geet… she looked at him confused…
"Geet this is bro… Maan.."
"Hello geet…"
He forwarded his hand for handshake she reciprocated by shaking with him….
"Geet… you will be staying with us from now on…."
Maan said as he knows that she is not safe alone…
"Bu."
She was about to protest yash stopped her..
"No geet… Plzzz it is not safe for you to be alone…"
"Yes geet… yash is right… you can stay here… and don't feel scared… we are here for you.."
Maan assured and both waited for her reply…
