Interesting name... Suta.. Like foster parent type meaning so well here{Thanks😃 Suta means daughter...How and when this girl was named "suta" would be an important moment in this story..😊Keep reading..."
Like karna in mahabrath...
Umm also could be like a narrator of a tail of her own... Just amazing choice of name dear
hmmm.. so Shoki is Maan's Sirjee...Suta is Geet and Shoki's daughter...Shoki gave suta's custody to Maan...but what aboutGeet...???
Who gave Shoki this right to give custody of Suta toMaan...???[ As maan said,Shoki has only his daughter in his family,thats means geet is not with him...😊]
He didn't mention Geet's name anywhere ...Suta is alone or with Geet or with someone else...???The big Q is where is Geet...???[wait for next chapter...😊]

first of all thanx for the update dear... definitely was missing u...
after realising that maans sirjee is none other than shoki, i went back and read it again... and i was surprised to see whether the compassionate sirjee of maan is the same person who brutally raped chidi? though his crime doesnt decrease by even a point, but was his meanious act was only due to alcohol and friends remarks? or has he changed after that?[Yes,his heinous crime was result of alcohol and his bruised ego..He was guilty since the moment,he had come to know ,some other girl was with him on his wedding night..He begged to Rano for the forgiveness but did not get it..Since then he was burning in regret and and his "dream" in chapter six proves it..He was not a "bad" person basically...😊]
u know na how much i love ur detailed reference... in this part too i loved the way u described about dadis fragrance... even i remember my dadis... mysore sandal waala😃... thanx for taking me to my childood days...
SUTA... what does it mean??[it means "daughter"}
am so keen to know about chidi... what happened to her? is suta with her?
fab updatee... next update bhi jaldi dena... will be waiting...
I have to say that this update left me with wet eyes...
For all the sins a person commits from stepping on a life be it an insect to the worst as in rape and murder, several religions promise redemption and forgiveness with the name of God at your last breath.[You are right..My grandma used to tell me a story where a person who has followed "wrong ways" throughout his life was sent to heaven after his death because his last words were "Ram"...Interesting thing is that,he wasn't remembering God..He was just calling his son whom he had named "Ram",,He had once given Food to a hungry beggar and in reward of this good deed,God had made him name his son "Raam"..😊} No one is perfect since we are not God and forgiveness is a divine quality. Yet we are willing as a society to easily accuse but find it impossible to forgive even the slightest thing even if it is a remark on our hair or clothes. We will hold that grudge forever.Shoki's crime was so brutal it is difficult even now for me to forgive him but for him to turned his life around like this, makes me take my hats off to you for redeeming him.{He was redeemed the moment when he had seen some other girl other than channi in his room on the next morning after the wedding night..Shoki wasn't a bad character in this story..circumstances,alcohol and his bruised ego made him commit biggest mistake of his life..}The dream where he kept on trying to reach his daughter was sad. The accusing words of Rano and the innocent terrified eyes of Geet have haunted him to his dying breath as they should.Maan coming from a single parent home as a rebelling teenager finds guidance at the hands of such a person. Two people seeking something from each other form this bond of trust. He needs Ashok as much as Ashok needs him.This promise made now starts the journey of the parent...Eager to read more.Since everyone says this I don't know with how much value you will accept it, but I luv u Palin...{Its priceless and most precious for me..avi..and i love you too...🤗}Your unique way of characterization makes me ever eager to read your work...Thanks for updating...[Thanks for reading...]

Shows that no person is white or black but everyone's a shade of grey. A respected teacher, someone's mentor was someone's perpetrator. I don't throw the blame entirely on alcohol after all you always have a choice to take the alcohol or not..to force your bride or not...to take the teasings your friends throw at you to heart or not. Fresh perspective, awesomely written. Can't wait for next part!
Ahh doing victory dance. Kitne dino baad mera kahi pe pehla number laga hain.😃Edited:OK, so I just realized that I have not commented on chapter 5 and since both the chapters have almost the same theme I am going to combine them together and comment.I remember when you me and Ritzy discussed about how you were going to punish the characters and whether that was the correct route to go.I was thinking about it for sometime after that and I remembered Baba telling me about t a book many years ago called "Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostyoevski(i am sure I have murdered that name😆) I believe there is an old Raj Kapor movie on the same but I don' remember the name.It is about a man and how in a moment of rage, he commits a murder and how his guilt consumes him alive. It affects every relationship,every nuance of his life and how he starts crumbling from inside. He is finally compelled by his own self to confesses the crime to escape himself and accepts punishment that is due to him and finally finds a semblance of peace.Now coming to "The Parent". I think Darji's punishment was befitting his crime. His was not a crime where redemption was likely. Not after destroying the lives of both his grand-daughters and his conscience knew it. No human punishment can be greater or harsher than the one meted out by our conscience. For we can perhaps escape the law, but our conscience is with us constantly and it reminds us forever of the wrongs we have committed and there is absolutely no escape.Same is the case with Shoki. I am not surprised that we was a good teacher to Maan. He committed a crime unconciously, but his regret the next morning and when he looked upon Geet and her fear at Rano's house has probably been with him forever. Only people who have no regrets are 'psychopaths." But his defense of Maan shows him to be a highly conscionable and a good man, who committed a crime in a moment of imbibed weakness.I am amazed at the depth of human understanding you have shown in these last 2 chapters Pilli. I am also intrigued by how you have connected all these characters, especailly Maan and Shoki. Every character that you have written for this story is neither black nor white. They all have, as in real life grey shades to them, some more more darker than the others.Every human, every day, fights with the right and wrong choices and it is only our inner voice that guides us if we are willing to listen. But the moment we try to ignore that voice, it's guaranteed that we have made the wrong choice.I love the uniqueness of the name 'Suta" an am waiting to find more about how the whole thing has come about.This is turning to be a phenomenal story that has me spell bound and in awe of the diversity of your writing.Ok now I will shut up, I think.😆
