NOTE : Recently i started watching the old episodes of GHSP. This part is slightly inspired from some of them. 😳

PART 72

Maan left the children with Annie and rushed to the hospital. Geet was standing outside the intensive care unit worried. Her eyes were weary due to crying and for some reason she couldn't look into Maan's eyes. Maan felt scared as he saw Geet. He couldn't stop thinking why she is not looking at me? Hope dadi is ok.

Maan reached near Geet. He didn't have the courage to go inside and see dadi. He came near her and asked hesitantly, "Geet.. dadima.."

Geet : dadima ko hosh aa gaya he. Ap andar ja sakte

Maan was too overwhelmed to notice the urgency in Geet's voice to send him away from her as if his presence was unbearable for her. As he rushed in to see dadi he didn't notice the agony in Geet's face. Geet stood there her eyes almost filled with tears. Her eyes stared at the direction where Maan went even though he got out of her sight.

She remembered what happened after she had called him. A few moments have taken away all her peace of mind. Dadi opened her eyes after the doctors examined her and her condition got stable. The first thing she did was to ask for Geet. Geet ran to meet her. She was so happy that dadi was fine. As she sat next to dadi she could feel that the poor old woman was too much worried about something.

Dadi : sorry beta..humari wajah se apka vacation kharab ho gaya..

Geet : ye kaisi baat kar rhi he ap dadima...

Dadi : where is Maan?

Geet : wo aa rhe he. He is on the way..

Dadi : bete, hume apse bohat zaruri baat karni he.

Geet : boliye dadima

Dadi : ap logo ke janey ke baad...hume ek information mili. Ek ladke ke baarey me. Ooty ke orphanage se aaya tha. Keh rha tha ki uska humare pariwaar se rishta he. Pehle to humne ignore kiya lekin baad me jo details usney diye, birth date..hospital us se hume doubt hua and I got Adi into it. Tab jakey hume pata chala ki wo ladka...Maan ka chota bhai he..

Geet almost lost her breath when she heard that.

Dadi : Annie se pehle Maan ki mummy ki ek delivery hui thi. Aj tak hume laga tha ki wo still-birth he. Lekin wo bacha ye ladka he..humara pota Vikranth!!! Geet humara bacha kisi orphanage me tha..itne saal..

Geet : ap shaant ho jaiye dadima. Hum Vikranth ko dundh layenge apke paas.

Dadi : me jaanti hu beta. Lekin humari chinta wo nhi he.

Geet : to phir?

Dadi : Maan!!! Hospital me bache ko badalnewala aur koi nhi wo Dev hi tha

Geet : kya??

Dadi : ha Geet. Just becoz he felt insecure usney ye harkat ki..

Geet : lekin koi aisa kaise kr sakta he. Tab to unko pata bhi nhi ki wo sautele he...

Dadi smirked.

Dadi : Geet, ap hum se waada kariye ki jab tak hum Vikranth ke barey me puri tarah se nhi jaan lete he tab tak ap Maan ko kuch nhi batayengi.

Geet was shocked, 'lekin dadi'

Dadi : ap jaanti he Maan ke gussey ko. Agar jasbaad me akar Maan ke kuch ulta seedha kar diya to..

Geet : lekin ek din to unhe sab batana hi padega na?

Dadi : hum jantey he. Lekin agar Vikranth saath me he to...Maan ek dum se nhi react karenge. Uska dil to saaf he. Ek bhai ke liye jo nafrat he unke dil me ussey kayi zyada pyaar dusre bhai ke liye hoga.

Geet : shayad ap theek keh rhi he. Me waada karti hu. Me unhe kuch nhi bataungi.

Dadi : Thank You beta.

Geet : dadima kya inhi sab tension ki wajah se ap bimar hui?

Dadi kept quiet. Geet needed no other answer. She kissed on her forehead affectionately.

Geet : me bahar jaakar dekhti hu. Maan abhi aatey honge.

Geet comes back to present.

Geet(self-thought) : mene dadi ko to promise kar liya lekin ab Maan ka saamna kaise kar paungi. babaji aj tak mene Maan se ek bhi baat nhi chupai kyuki me jaanti hu ki unko jhut se saqt nafrat he aur aj haalat aise he ki unki zindagi ki itni badi sachai mujhe unse chupana pad raha he. Ab me kya karu??

Meanwhile Maan came back after seeing dadi. He hugged her from back his head resting on her nape. Geet was taken aback by surprise.

Maan : I told you dadi will be alright. After all my angel is with her.

Geet : ...

Maan (sighed) : abhi bhi naaraz ho?

She took in a deep breath.

Geet : wo..me..

Maan : I know you are feeling bad but i will make it up for you Mishty...

She turned around and hugged him. He took her slender form in his strong arms happily, oblivious to the strong waves of emotions that were clouding her mind. For the rest of the week things continued like that. Dadi was recovering in the hospital with Maan and Geet always by her side. Geet tried to stay away from Maan as much as possible. Maan took her coldness as her anger. He was infact surprised that she was offended for such a long time. He tried to soften her. This added to Geet's agony as she saw him desperately trying to make her happy even though they didn't get much time alone. At hospital they were always near dadi and at home the kids would surround them. They had to rush back and forth.

At Khurana Mansion , Annie was too busy decorating the house to welcome dadi. Arjun was stuck with the kids army. They were all very happy that their badi dadi is healthy nd coming back to home. As soon as dadi entered the house Annie took her aarti. Maan and Geet stood on either side of dadi. Geet was reminded of the day when she entered their mansion as Maan's bride, their marriage vows-the saath phere- and now she is lying to him all the time and he isn't even suspicious. Maan saw from the corner of his eye that Geet was worried. He thought that all this illness and stress had taken a toll on her. He was taking so little care of his jaan.

Maanvi and Misha gifted their 'badi dadi' a chocolate. She went to her room with them. Annie and Arjun left after sometime. Now Maaneet were left to themselves after such a long time. Geet was about to leave when Maan held her wrist. He pulled her back and she collided with his muscular chest.

Geet : ye ap kya kar rhe he..koi dekh lega to...

Maan : dekh lega to kya,huh?? Meri biwi ko apne baho me liya he to galat kya he?

She didn't need to look at his eyes to know the unconditional love that was gleaming in his eyes or rather she didn't have the courage to look into those devoted eyes .

Maan : Jaan...itni berukhi?? Itne din ho gaye aur tum abhi bhi mujse nazre chura rhi ho? Tumhari khamoshi se zyada badi sazaa mere liye yehi he. Tumhari ankho me mujhe meri duniya dikhti he Geet...

Geet was in a real dilemma. She wanted to cup his face and kiss away all his worries. But she couldn't meet her eyes with his. It would give away the entire storm within her. He lifted her chin gently and made her eyes meet his.

Maan : Geet.. have I let you down that much?? Me kya karu tumhari uljhan ko dur karne ke liye? I'm sorry Ge..

She covered his mouth with her palm.

Geet : Chup...bilkul chup...ab ap kuch mat boliye...me bardasht nhi kar paungi..apne ye soch bhi kaise liya ki itne din me apse naraaz reh sakti hu??

Maan : phir ye duri kyu he Geet humare beech me? Jis din se hum mile he ek unkahi ehsaas ek kashish mehsus hoti he chahe hum kitne bhi dur kyu na ho. Lekin pichle kuch dino se najaane kyu mujhe aise lag rha he ki tum mujse bohat dur chali gayi ho..kuch he jo tumhe mujse alag kar rha he..
