Okay time to test this. If he watches over me and Anamika than there has to be a way to find out. She stands under the shower trying to figure out a plan. She just hoped he didn't have cameras in the bathroom as well. A blush creeped on her cheeks up just thinking about that. Would he? She pops her head out of the bathtub looking around for a camera. "stupid girl. Why would he make the camera visible for you to see?" She heard Anamika crying in the room.
Quickly she gets out of the shower wrapping herself in the towel only. She didn't care about her clothes. She runs out of the bathroom picking up Anamika making sure she is covered in blanket, not wanting to get her wet. Geet smiles as Anaimka motions for feeding. She sits on the bed looking at her daughter completely forgetting about Maan and his camera as she fed the baby.
Maan worked on his laptop with CCTV monitor on in the background. He looks up from his screen and was shocked to see the vision in front of him. His mouth went dry as he saw Geet feeding Anamika. She was just wrapped up in a towel and forgot to cover herself. He jerks away from the desk as he walked slowly toward the wall. He felt so frustrated not being able to touch her or see her up close.
Geet closes her eyes as Anamika fed herself. She was so happy but felt so incomplete. She had everything she ever wanted but yet she knew something was missing. Maan. She didn't have enough guts to approach him. There were many things she wanted to say to him but his response and his slight anger took all the words away from her.
Tears escape from her eyes remembering his words. "How can he think she can't handle Anamika? She lived for her. She waited for her to come to this world." She hisses in pain when Anamika scratches her chest a little. She gives Geet an innocent look after done feeding.
"you also like to give me pain huh?" She looks at Anamika with tears while Anamika gave a confused look. Geet wipes her tears away as she made her lie on the bed properly. "let mommy change and than I will give you a bath myself." She kisses her cheek as she grabs a sari from the cupboard.
Maan looks away as he saw Geet dropping her towel. He runs his fingers through his hair. "You are driving me crazy Geet unknowingly." He punches the wall in anger. "What do you want from me Geet?" (he yells through the room looking at her. He touches her face with his bloody hand) "What do you want? I am staying away from you but still every minute, every second, and everyday makes it impossible for me. What should I do? Tell me!!"
Geet jumps when she thought she heard Maan's voice. She runs toward the window dropping a glass on the floor in the process. She looks around for any sign of him but as usually she was left with only the view of darkness surrounding the outhouse. "Why did I felt as if he was calling for me? I hope everything is fine Babaji. This whole relationship is so confusing. What should I do? Please give me a sign." She walks towards Anamika lost in the thoughts without realizing the broken glass on the floor.
She screams in pain when a sharp glass entered at the bottom of her right foot. She manages to grab the bed post in pain as blood trickled on the floor. Anamika was on the bed crying. Geet holds in her lap cradling her back and fourth completely ignoring the pain. Right now it was her daughter that mattered the most.
Maan was about to turn the camera's off not being able to see this anymore when he saw Geet's bleeding foot. His anger rose seeing the blood while she took care of Anamika. "When will she take care of herself?" He could clearly see her masking her pain in front of Anamika. He walks around the room not knowing what to do. He knows Geet. He knows she will take all the pain and not take care of herself. If he goes there than he will have to break his promise. If he doesn't than she will not bandage the wound.
He picks up the phone. "Hello. Go to madam's room. Her foot is bleeding. Call the doctor as well." He hangs up the phone looking at Geet. Within minutes, Nakul went to Geet's room with first aid kit.
Geet was done putting Anamika to sleep when Nakul entered the room with first aid kit.
"Yes, Nakul."
"Madam this is for you. Your foot is bleeding."
"How did you know?" (She than remembers the cameras. Maan. If you care so much than come and bandage it yourself. Why are you hiding?")
"I have called for the doctor as well."
"No need for the doctor Nakul. Am fine. But you didn't answer my question. How did you know about this?" Nakul looks around not knowing what to say. He couldn't break Maan sir's trust.
"Woh uhh yeah I had heard a noise of glass being broken. So I came to check if everything was fine."
"All the way from the kitchen?" (She looks at him amused)
"yes."
"hmm you have sharp ears Nakul. A true gift. Anyway, leave the bandage here. I will do it later. Until than please prepare a milk bottle for Anamika."
"okay ma'am." Nakul left the room knowing now he has to face the wrath of Maan sir.
Maan throws the phone on the floor when Nakul informed him of the conversation between him and Geet. "Why are you so stubborn Geet?" He saw her struggling to get up with Anamika. The damn nurse had a day off today. "Damn it."
Geet sits on the bed tired and drained of energy as she finally had managed to place Anamika inside her crib. She looks at her foot that needed to be bandaged properly. She takes the first aid kit taking out a bandage and alcohol wipe. "Babaji how would I do this?" She reached for the glass that was stuck inside her foot when the lights went off. She looks around in fear.
"Nakul! What happened to the lights?" (She yells but no sound came from anywhere. It was dead quiet. Geet felt terrified seeing the darkness.) "Nakul?" (She yells again but no noise came than suddenly she saw a shadow in her room.) "Kaun hai?" (She gasps in fear when she saw a man like shadow near the entrance of her room door.
She tried to get up to go toward Anamika but the pain in her leg made it impossible to do so. She saw the shadow slowly coming towards her.) "Please, take whatever you want but don't touch my daughter" (She tries to get up again and was about to fall down on the floor when she felt a familiar hold around her waist. Next thing she knew she was lying on the bed with her feet dangling. She felt his hand on her bleeding foot. She tried snatching her foot away but it only made a grip on her foot tighter.)
"Don't move." (She heard his familiar voice again. She couldn't see his face as it was concealed in the darkness. She again tried to move her foot) "I said don't move or else it will hurt"
"I will do it." (She said meekly but in reality she was loving his touch.)
"When? When you will be out of blood?"
"woh I was.." (She screams in pain when Maan pulled the glass from the foot. She sits up putting her hand on his shoulder.)
"Its almost done."
"How can you see the wound in darkness?"
"I don't need light to see anything related to you"
It was hard for Maan to control his feelings and he knew it was a bad idea to come here but he had no other option. He knew Geet will never be able to bandage her own wound. She faints at the sight of the blood. Touching her foot made his heart beat faster and faster and her talking even made it more worse. He wanted to take those lips and taste her all over again but he knew it is not that possible.
Geet's mind raised thousands of questions while her heart did samarsaults back and fourth. She wanted to ask him why he was avoiding her but he she knew the answer to that because of her. Why wasn't he showing his face to her? Why when he cares so much for them especially for Anamika.
She heard some racket bringing her out of her thoughts. From the shadow she could make out that he was trying to look for something. She wanted to ask what happened but nothing came out of her mouth. Slowly, she moves to turn on the light when she felt her body being pinned down. Her hands were above her head and could sense his breath near her neck.
"Don't turn on the light!"
"bu.."
"Don't turn on the light!" (He says again. He moves away from her touching her foot again. She heard something snip, her bandage.) "Don't put any pressure on your foot. I will have nurse help you and Anamika from now on. You will not be left alone." She hears him shocked. She heard some footsteps. He was about to leave.
"Why do you care?!" (She yells stopping Maan in his tracks) "I don't need any nurse or your help. I can take care of myself and my daughter." She gets off the bed to approach him slightly whimpering in pain.
Maan rushes to her holding her arms behind her back.
"Why do you make everything hard for me? huh! You told me to stay away from you and I am staying away. I made myself a promise not to show you my face if you wake up from coma and I am fulfilling that promise. I don't want to cause you anymore pain, Geet. It is better if I stay away from you and everyone. You are better off without me. Next month you don't have to worry about that either. I am going away to London for a year or so."
She listens to him with tears. Maan picks her up placing her on the bed.
"She needs you Geet. Take care of yourself for her sake. I won't be here to do that."
She holds his hand as he was about to leave. Maan fists his hands together trying to control his emotions.
"If you don't want to show me your face than that is fine but what about Anamika? She is your daughter. She needs you. Or what about Vicky? He looks up to you like a father. Happiness just returned on his face you want to take that away from him again?"
"They don't need me. They need you only." (he snatches his hand away from her walking away. The lights comes back on the minute he left but she kept looking at the door hoping for him to return. "I am going away..." Those were the only words that rang in her heart again and again. No light can shine on the darkness that involved around her now."
I was wrong Maan. I was wrong. You can't leave. You can't!
