Okay first of all I loved this part a lot and the cake goes to Pari. I so want her and Brij to have some moments now. I am freaking in love with this girl. There are so many reasons but one of them is the shades of her character. While she was the one person who goes all gooey at Brij and mumbles and mutters when would his highness takes the first step but wouldn't let anyone tease him, the same soft sweet girl could go on risk her safety time and again and go through some serious assault we all never even would dream to have.It is not even about the safety at this juncture. Yes, there are her men standing ready to arrest those bas***ds but going through the initial humiliation of someone touching you, even though you are doing it as a duty wasn't something every girl would be happy to do with, and trust me I haven't guessed her job though the reason I thought for her mood off was eerily similar. I thought this might be due to eve teasing but her strange silence on it made me think it was not an accident but a part of her job.As I think about my teenage years and all the creeps I've met, I think of what it is I'd like to have done to them.😡 Through Pari's actions, I am vanquishing the ghosts of my past and am hoping I'm helping somebody do the same. She is a woman first and foremost and her feminity is with her all the time whether she is on duty or off duty and that is why I respect her a hell lot and I'm damned proud of this character. She is all the women out there facing shit like this everyday and yet moving on with courage.Moving on, the little stunt she and Miri had was hilarious. Her profanities and waving middle finger had me grin stupidly. Take that you Khurana!😆
Oh btw what I loved the most is of course she calling him son of a bas***d. I mean come on I always wondered why was a man needed to be bad mouthed only associated with his mother or sister? Why a woman? I so loved her tweaking of the usual word hence. Ah! Can you see me smiling stupidly?AHA! Finally somebody who noticed that tweak. I'm damned proud of my Bratty. She thinks just like me.
Di, your writing makes the characters so damned real and I wonder time and again why the hell aren't brilliant authors sitting here go into publishing?
You guys write characters which are far more real and human unlike the supposed Indian Authors who are hell bent on dramatizing and creating demi gods for charactersHmm!!
