I loved the disclosure of Geet's past more so because it is coming from her, a victim who was a witness of the heinous crimes that took place that night; a witness whose world was turned upside down within a matter of few hours.
We shudder and sweat when we as much have a nightmare but here, the girl was living through the nightmare she had experienced and frankly it isn't easy. It will not be. But I adore the woman for speaking up, for being brave enough to face her demons, and live through the experience. I salute her for that.
You know what Di, the title is damned suitable for this fic because it portrays the human relations that aren't tied by societel or man made relations. Instead it shows the bonds that are tied by love. Geet's neighbors, Manchanda uncle, Pari, Miri, her family, or even Dadi herself. No one is blood related to Geet but I am sure if there comes a day where they had to stand before death for her, they would. And come on, what else would a person want apart from having someone who would love you to death? Nothing more. And Daadi says right. Geet is blessed to have such people in her life. She truly is a heiress of love.
The kind of bonding Pari shared with Aai is believable since it is a kind of bonding we often share with the parents of our friends too. I do and it sent chills down my spine when I kept myself in Pari's shoes. How much had that girl done to Handa family just by being there as a pillar of support when she also had lost someone so special, a mother figure in her life?
Last but not the least I understand the anger and hurt Geet feels for and because of Maan. Often we have some sore spots and when we are hit there, we react quite strongly, That's happened with Geet. Maan did make a mistake but mistakes are human tendencies. I believe the guy didn't commit a crime and that he would redeem his previous actions, And of course am all eyes to see Devi Bonaparte in work. Set the ball rolling Di!
