She shook her head which was resting on his shoulder. Both were sitting on floor on terrace, resting their back on railing wall behind. Watching hide n seek of clouds and Moon, witnessing millions of twinkling stars, enjoying coolness of fresh wind, far from any noises. It was serene and quite.
Maan was yet couldn't forget she was to go away from him. It was a fear which had been bruised deep inside him. Behind his closed eyes, millions of argument was going on, which came out in form of a startle. Geet cupped her face instantly "What happened Maan? ''
Maan looked around and found, he might had dreamed about her departure. He looked her tensed face and smiled nodding no "nothing Geet. Just Feeling cold''
"Oh we should go back. Lets' go!'' she started standing up when Maan stopped. "I want to be here some more time''
"But..''
"Please!'' He made pleading face, she had to agree. She again sat resting on him. Maan hugged her from behind.
"So, when are you leaving?'' Maan spoke finally
She instantly turned toward him, could see his fear. She smiled " Never!''
"Mean?'' He frowned
"I mean Maan this exam is very tough. It's National level exam Maan. Everybody wants to win. There are thousands of candidates and seats are very short. How you think I'm supposed to, going to win this easily? So now leave this fearing that I'm going anywhere leaving you!'' she tried to cheer him up but it made him more serious
"And how can you say you won't win haan! Who are you to decide? Now I will see how you don't pass this exam, it's now my responsibility Geet, let's go!''
Where?''
"We have to make plans, Study schedules, your books, time tables, what things you will going to need all these.. oh! We have very less time then. You are such a stupid Geet! Lets' go!'' Maan gradually dragged her downstairs to her room.
"Now seat'' he pointed to bed. She was dumbfounded looking his excitement. He dragged a chair before her and sat. He pick a notepad and pen " okay, now tell. When is your exam?''
"Umm! After two months'' she answered like student
"Ohh' we have only two months. Okay now listen we would make plan first what syllabus have to cover and then…. '' He was making plans, schedules everything like a parent do when their child was going to have his first admission in school. It was so funny as well as overwhelming too. She was looking his expressions and giggling sometime chuckling and then shut quite with his one glare. So finally after complete one hour effort He succeeded to make a proper study schedule for her. Now it's time for dinner which they did together as Maan was not going to leave her for even a small minute. They enjoyed food and then withdrew for theirs rooms. They wished good night with Maan kissing on her forehead and Geet with a sweet smile, in return.
Whole night on one could sleep. It was the most special day of their life. They had confessed. They now knew they are of each other, yet both had no any special demand or promises from others'. She wanted to make herself, perfect for him and he was helping her. He didn't want her to go yet was ready to support her, forcing her to leave him. That day everything had changed yet, nothing was changed. Maan wanted let her complete her dream once and so will wait for right time to talk about marriage. May be marriage talk would interrupt her preparations. So he decided to drop this plan till, she get ready for this marriage responsibilities. Or perhaps, waiting for right day. Thought, they had already confessed, so he was not that in hurry like before.
Next Day
Geet was ready for school when Maan called "Geet stop!'' She stopped and saw, he tagged himself with her "from today you are not going alone. I will drop you and driver as usual will pick you up, got it!''
She tried to disagree but his one gaze and she was numb. They left for school. Reached there within half an hour and when Geet reached to school gate she turned and waved to him. He too nodded, accepting her adieu and left. This whole scenario was very short but was enough to get a mark in some angry red eyes, which had become Geet foe from the day, Maan insulted Naina.
Geet was very happy. Her happiness was evident from her face and gestures. She met Meera. They spent their time discussing about exams and some personal talks and then Meera guessed there was something strong between her and Maan. She was happy for her. Final bell rang and Geet left in car, not noticing that her most friends, had started avoiding her. She was busy in her own world.
In night, Maan handed some packets to her. She opened and got frightened "What's this ?'' she was seeing the most thickest and fattest books in front of her, that too in countless numbers.
"It's books Geet'' Maan was casual
"Yes Maan I can see its books but what I'm supposed to do with these all?'' She was still in shock.
"You will read these all, why? What happened? And yea! Listen you will finish these all in fifteen days. And haan, after that I'm going to take your exam, understood! Now start''
"What! Now?''
"Yes Geet now, and take this'' He pointed a glass
"What's in this ''
"Milk''
"No please Maan I don't like milk'' She made faces
"So what' now finish this and start your study. Finish this glass and come in hall. We are going to study there only. Fast!'' He left. She nodded and finished milk and run behind him. They settled in hall, started her studies. Maan was too doing his work and taught in between….
