PART 03

Maan came back home poured some alcohol to calm himself.First time he felt something to her which he cant control or understand the feeling.Geet was making him mad.Maan who had become stone heart after Sameeksha's betrayal was so confused due to his feelings towards Geet.Maan always quarreled unnecessarily when he was attracted towards her almond eyes.Those hazel almond eyes had the power to hypnotize him.That's why he had poured out his heart to Geet unknowingly.He was shocked of his behaviour..a girl who always quarreled with him who always gave silly remarks and quarreled for silly matters made him melt in front of her.His heart had beaten faster always seeing her hazel almond eyes but he never listened to his heart.

His heart which was broken into million pieces due to Sameeksha was repairing slowly slowly seeing this hazel almond eyes.But Maan's brain was singing the other tune of not trusting Geet.His mind was not permitting his ego to bow in front of Geet and her innocence.Maan saw towards the half emptied alcohol bottle where Geet was seen.Geet was smiling innocently at him.Maan said with drowsy eyes,"Tum mujhe dekhkar has rahi ho...meri is haalat ko dekhkar has rahi ho...!"Then Maan blinked and saw the bottle once again intently when Sameeksha was seen.Maan was shocked and said,"Sameeksha...kyun mujhe dhoka diya...kyun?"Maan blinked and this time Sam was still there and he threw it out of anger and said,"Chali jaavo mere zindagi se...tumhe sirf paisewaala insan hi pasand hai jaavo mere zindagi se aur mujhe shanti se rehne do...!Teri wajaise mein Geet ko kya kuch sunaaya..uski koi galati hi nahin thi fir bhi...!"

Maan saw Sameeksha everywhere and he started throwing the alcohol bottle and the alcohol got smeared everywhere around him.Maan sat seeing the broken alcohol bottle and unknowingly searched for match box to light the candle and on that power went off.Maan was not in his mind when he lit the match clumsily and fell on the ground on the alcohol when it lit the hall.The neighbours felt something burning and saw fire inside Maan's house and called the fire station and they subdued the fire in his house and he was admitted to the hospital.Geet came running to the hospital when she came to know abt the accident.Geet saw Maan's state and couldnt tolerate and hugged him tightly to make her confirmed that he's alright.

Geet cried,"Am sorry..mujhe maaf kardo aapki yeh haalat ki wajah mein hoon...agar mein aapki puraani gaav nahin khureda hota toh aap aise haalat mein na aate yahan...am sorry...!"Maan was totally awed seeing her in that state.She was truly blaming herself due to his state but the fact was that it was not her mistake...it was Maan's who was feeling totally guilty.Maan had burnt his right hand trying to subdue the fire and was feeling difficulty to move it when Geet's eyes were glistening with tears.Maan forwarded his left hand and wiped her tears and asked sternly,"Tum mere liye aasoon kyun bahaa rahi ho?Meine tumse kaha na ki mein tumse pyaar nahin karta lekin fir bhi tum yahan apni aasoon dikhaane aagayi aur woh bhi jhooti...!"Geet started crying with hiccups when she heard his harsh words and told painfully,"Aapki himmat kaise huyi mere aasoon jhooti kehne ki...aapko kya lagta hai ki MSK ko dhoka aivanyi de sakta hai koi...aur MSK dhoka khaayega...nahin Mr.Khurana...aap mujhse pyaar nahin karte yeh mein jaanti hoon lekin mein toh aapse pyaar kar sakti hoona...aur aap is haq se mujhe vanchit nahin kar sakte...kyunki jis tarah aapka man mujhse pyaar karne ke liye raazi nahin hoga ussi tarah mera man aapko bhoolne ka ya pyaar na karne ke liye raazi bhi nahin hoga...!"

Geet went outside to cry peacefully while Maan saw her with awe..because he always saw an enormous confidence in those hazel almond eyes.She never felt disappointed..though she would feel for seconds of disappointment but she never accepted defeat whenever their convo..if it was confront or any sarcasm...she never felt defeated in front of him ever.But today her eyes showed disappointment...hopelessness...and sadness...Next morning Maan was shifted to Geet's home as Geet had convinced her parents to help the neighbours and as his home was rebuilt so he have to stay there to moniter the works.Maan was given guest room in Geet's home and was given the name of the distant relative to the people who visited Handas to avoid awkwardness.

Rano...Geet's mother was an elegant lady who was expert in cooking and she would feed anyone with her delicious dishes making them not to forget her cooking when they leave the house after the stay.Rano was so overwhelmed seeing the handsome man Maan and started feeding seeing his pale face.Rano was resembling mother to Maan.Maan was so touched with her cute gestures and lovable looks that he felt that he's having his own mother in front of him.Maan liked Rano so much and her cooking too... in few months he had become gol gappa due to Rano's cooking but still he was the apple of Geet and Rano now.Mohinder Handa was the dignified man with so much love in his heart to the family and Maan too.As he knew that Maan is a gentleman.Mohinder was a businessman having tea estates in Mumbai and have the tea business but was operating from Delhi due to Geet's studies.

Soon Maan got well in the care of Handas and he was a bit attached to the family too but still he dont wanted to voice out his heart feelings as he was so wounded becoz of his first love.He had his reasons to be insecure and his insecurities was eating away him due to the thoughts abt Geet.Moreover his ego wasnt permitting the feelings of love towards Geet.During this it was occasion of Diwali festival and Handas and Maan went to shopping.It was blissful day for Geet as she had Maan beside her after lot of persuasion for shopping.Maan was a bit conscious to meet Geet when her family around.He dint wanted to make Handas awkward due to Geet's stupidity and naive nature.He knew that she's pure like a rain drop and naive as a rose flower.Maan was suppressing his feelings becoz of the insecurities still he was not stopped by attracted towards Geet's beauty.

Geet was selecting her dress for the festival while Maan walked towards the traditional side to select a Saree.He wanted to gift it for Rano and Geet.Maan came to the traditional wear counter and said,"Kuch saadi dikhaayiye...!"That girl said turning towards him,"Jee sir...!"Maan was froze to death hearing the familiar voice and saw the girl while the girl took a red color sari and said,"Yeh achchi hai kya sir...!"Maan said with total shock,"Sameeksha...!"That girl had round black eyes with long white nose and slightly red tinged M shaped lips...!She saw Maan and was shocked,"Maan...!"

Geet came there in search of Maan and saw the scene where Maan was talking to a girl with total concern and jealousy aroused inside her body and ran towards him with total anger but stopped halfway hearing the next set of his words,"Sam...tum yahan kya kar rahi ho...aur tum yahan kaam karti ho kya...!"

Sam and Maan were sitting in Sam's house where Sam's mother and sister were seeing Maan with wide smile.The home was not familiar and there was the photo of Sam's father which was garlanded.Sam's mother Pammi told Maan,"Maan...tumhe dhoka dene ki sazaa hai beta...agar tumhaari aur Sameeksha ki shaadi ho gayi hoti toh hum aise nahin rehte...jab unki jaane ki gahdi aayi toh woh humesha tumhe yaad kiya beta...tumhe dhoka dene ke baad..woh woh nahin rahe bilkul badal gaye...!"Maan asked curiously,"Aur Karan jo Sameeksha ko shaadi karne waala tha woh...!"Sam said angrily,"Uske baare mein baat hi mat karo...woh ek number ka dhoke baaz hai...usne mujhe dhoka diya...tum sahi the Maan...woh mere laayak nahin tha...!"Maan asked,"Sam..tum doctor padna chaahthi thi na..uska kya huva...!"Sam said,"Maan...ab woh mera khwaab ho gaya hai...ab toh duniya mein sirf rishvat ka raaj hai merit ki nahin...meine doctor padne ke liye Mumbai ki badi badi colleges mein application daali lekin woh mujhe rishvat maang rahe hai aur donation bhi...!"

Maan asked,"Kitna donation chaahiye...!"Sam said,"Yahi ki das aur bees laakh...!"Maan dint say anything and said,"Sam...mein tumhe doctor padne mein madat karta hoon...!"Sam was abt to aruge but Maan made her to shut her mouth with his words,"Bachpan se mujhe aap logon ne paala hai...yeh mat bhoolon ki mein is ghar ka sadsya hoon...tum chaaho ya na chaaho...lekin tumhaare papa humesha kaha karte the ki agar unhe kuch ho jaaye toh is parivaar ki zimmedaari meri hai...!"Maan said standing sternly,"Kal mein aavonga aur tumhe yahan ki mashoor medical college mein bharti karvaavoonga...!"Maan went from there leaving the family total shocked.Pammi was speechless as she thought that when Maan comes then he claims to maary Sameeksha but what she thought was not going on but she got a hope abt Maan that he still loves Sam truly.

Maan came to Mumbai and stood on the site where his parents were buried.He sat in front of their grave and cried silently.He had not let anyone to claim it.Maan was saving this place becoz of his parents memories.On that time a man came there and asked curiously,"Maan...tumne toh mujhe is zameen ko choone tak nahin diya tha pichle 3 saalon se lekin..aaj kya baat huyi ki tum isse bechna chaahthe ho...!"Maan said wiping his tears,"Mujhe paison ki sak zaroorat hai isiliye...!"That man was the broker of real estate who caught a rich man to sale this property.Maan who was wanting the money dint try to know who was the buyer and sold the property.Maan made Sam enrolled in the Delhi medical college while he had forgotten that someone was watching him.Maan's daily routine was to pick Sam from college and leave her in the home and take care of her expenses and her family.

But Maan dint forgotten Geet but he would see the quarrel between the father and daughter as she was refusing every alliance which Mohinder brought.Maan never cheated Handas as he had told them abt his past and Mohinder and Rano was trying to convince Geet as Maan was not accepting Geet.In between this Geet was feeling total jealous seeing Sameeksha with Maan but she would never voice it out as it made Maan smile and happy.Geet befriend Sameeksha and got to know abt Sameeksha and her tastes.Now Geet came to conclusion that why Maan loves her so much.Geet was trying to convince her heart that Maan only loves Sam not her and was happy with them as friends.

Sameeksha finished her studies and got the job in Govt hospital in Mumbai near her original home only while Geet was trying to hide her sorrows seeing her true love to be going with someone else.It was the day of Sam's departure to her native place Mumbai and Maan was helping with everything.Pammi had advised Sam to say her feelings towards Maan as she knew that these years she wanted to rectify her mistake.Geet had also came there to help Sam and her family still holding her sorrows inside her heart.Maan,Sam,Geet and her family got down from the taxi with the luggage while Pammi provoked Sam to express her feelings.Maan loaded the luggage to the train while Pammi once again provoked Sam to express her feelings.

Sam said hesitatingly,"Maan..mujhe tujhse baat karni hai...!"Maan said politely,"Haan kaho...!"Sam and Maan walked to a quieter place and Sam said,"Maan...ab mein apne feelings aur nahin chupa sakti...ab mere man mein koi khot nahin hai...ab mein sirf aur sirf tumse pyaar karti hoon...kya tum mujhe apna humsafar maanoge?"Maan dint say anything and had only blank expression but spoke firmly and sternly,"Pyaar...Sam...aaj tum milgayi toh mein bhi tumhaari tarah galathi karoon kya..jo tum teen saal pehle kiya tha?"Sam asked,"Matlab?"Maan said,"Sam...ab mere man mein tumhaare liye koi ehsaas nahin hai...mein Geet se pyaar karta hoon aur humesha karta rahoonga...!"Sam was shocked and asked,"Maan...Geet to teri friend haina..woh aisa kabhi nahin sochti...!"Maan smiled and said,"Yeh...logon ki pyaar karne ki alag tareekha hai...tumne kya kiya mera pyaar thukraaya aur chali gayi mujhse door...lekin woh apne aapko dard dekar..tumhe ek dost ki khushi diya...!"Sam was shocked,"Matlab...!"Maan smiled and said proudly,"Geet yeh jaanti thi ki mein tujhse humesha ke liye pyaar karta rahoonga..isiliye woh humesha mera saath diya tujhse pyaar karne mein yeh jaante huve bhi ki woh baat usse dard deti hai...!Geet mujhse apne jaan se bhi zyaada pyaar karti hai lekin meine usse ek baar bhi apne ehsaas ko usse nahin bataaya..phir bhi usne mujhse pyaar kiya..meri har raasta par usne mera saath diya...usne tujhse freindship isiliye ki kyunki woh jaana chaahthi thi ki kya tum mere laayak ho ya nahin aur jab usse pata chala ki tum bhi mujhse pyaar karti ho toh usne apna saara dard apne ander rakhkar mein jo bhi kar raha tha tere liye usme saath diya..lekin woh pagali itna bhi nahin jaanti ki mein uske liye kya mehsoos karta hoon...waqt ne mujhe Geet ke kareeb aane diya aur tujhse door aur jab tumne mere kareeb aayi toh tum mujhe paa nahin sakti...!"

Now Sam understood how much Geet loves Maan and she was supporting Maan knowing it hurts her so much.But Sam was totally confused now and asked,"Toh tumne mujhe doctor kyun padaaya..kyun woh sab kiya yeh jaante huve bhi ki tum mujhse pyaar nahin karte...!"Maan said simply,"Sam..jab hum baahar nikalte hai tab hum traffic mein apne bagal waali gaadi ki door theek se nahin lagaaya toh unhe warn karte hai...jab hum insaaniyat ke naate yeh sab karte hai toh mein toh tujhse dil se pyaar kiya tha..tumhe kuch bhi ho jaaye aisa sochke chod doon kya?Sam ab tum doctor ho...tum apne pairon par khadi ho sakti ho...jab humein chalne se mushkil hoti hai toh hum stick ka sahaara leta hai...aur job humaara paav theek ho jaaye toh hum stick ko phenk dete hai...waise hi mein aaj tak tumhaare liye stick tha...ab meri zaroorat nahin hai tumhe...ab tum apne pasand ki aur paison waale aadmi ko shaadi kar sakti ho...mein hi aakar sab rasme nibhaavoonga...tumhaari parivaar ki sadasya ki tarah...!"Sam's eyes glistened with tears and said,"Maan...ab mein apne aapko kabhi maaf nahin karoongi...aaj tak mein apne aapko kosti thi ki meine tumhe dhoka diya...lekin iske baad mein yeh feel kar rahi hoon ki mein moorkh thi jo tum jaise insan se pyaar kiya aur thukraa diya...Maan aaj mein duniya ki sabse gareeb insan hoon jo meine tum jaise noor ko pehchaan nahin saki...tum sahi kehte ho...tum jaise noor ko mere paas nahin rehna chaahiye...mein aapki laayak nahin hoon...mein bhagwaan se yahi prarthana karti hoon ki geet tumhaari feelings samjhe...!"

On that time train signalled to start on the engine and she ran inside the bogi and stood near the door and bid good bye to Maan.Maan smiled and waved his hands while he saw Geet standing on the track.Maan was shocked and saved her from smashing and Geet told crying,"Kyun aapne mujhe bachaaya..aur aap Sam ke saath kyun nahin gaye...!"Maan said,"Kyunki mein tumse pyaar karta hoon...!"Geet froze hearing those words and saw towards Maan and said trying to know what she heard was right,"Maan...!"Maan nodded yes to her and said painfully,"Geet..meine tumhaara dil bahut dukhaaya...ab mein apne ander yeh feelings nahin rakh sakta...I love u Geet...i love u so much...!"Geet said,"I love u too Maan...!"Maan took her soft petal lips into his giving her soul searing kiss while Sam saw them kissing and gave a pleasant smile and went back to sit in her place beside her mother.
