Well I've never set foot in India, so I can't say whether it is so or not. However it would comeback to the mindset of the people instilled from the days of colonial rulership and the years before that when kings from those richer eras ruled. It's not something that will just be broken. In those times people learnt to survive, and survival meant eking out a meager living from the resources the kings, and British were willing to offer. As generations passed on, parents instilled it in their children that to survive meant keeping your head down and not challenging those in charge. That's where things go wrong. As I mentioned before, it's not about being willing to work for someone else but about knowing when to step outside of your role and make your voice heard or actions noted. Isn't that why people like Ghandi and Nelson Mandela were feared? They stood firm against the pressure where others remained contented to follow the chain of command even in the face of injustice. Maan is not some dictatorial ruler, but rather a visionary who sometimes gets lost in the vision and forgets about the people around him. That's why people like Geet, Daadi and Dev are needed in his life. To give him tap on the head when he has gone too far. They certainly aren't subservient in nature, but they know that there is a time to stand firm and a time to bend one's back.

well all the more reasons for them to breakfree...when u have the means and opportunity to do so.
well in a way indian culture is based on wrong premises...and the same is conveniently dumped in every walk of like ...
all your life we are being taught to sit down and keep our mouth sut, never question and keep your curiosity to yourself and then suddenly when we step into the outside world, everyone expects us to be einsteins and obama...

one cannot suddenly transform oneself as a gogetter, streetsmart person from a submissive person that u have been in ur formative years...

switching personalities is next to impossible, as it takes years of learning, wisdom, experience to come out as a completely new person who is ready to take the world head on...but if our mind is conditioned for years together to "never question anything that is contrary to the age old beliefs which has been followed for generations blindly, all that blinkered thinking is nogoing to undergo a change all of a sudden...

the other characters have never been a point of contention...when i think of dev, dadi and geet, they dont look as subservient to me...they in their own way resist him , whenever they feel that he is wrong...
resisting blindly is not what i look for , just for the heck of it...but question whenever u find something that defies ur logic, ur set of beliefs and try to come out with a clear head, rather filled with so many ifs and buts...
i dont belittle subserviency, but when it is passed on like legacy ,it irks me a lot...
its high time for some refreshing ideologies...

maan is not hated for his domineering nature, he is a person who encourages to have an open mind not plagued by assumptions, archaic views ,but the very same man imposes his decisions and doesnt widen his horizon by looking at things from other person's outlook...he has a very inflated opinion on his decision making capability and has a very lower emotional quotient ,which ranks much above for all other traits for healthy interactions with people
i cant find a single person who hasnt suspected his motives and everyone seems to be at the edge around him, constantly churning their mind, as what he has in store for them...well i dont appreciate the fact that he has managed to instill such amount distrust in their minds...he is feared and respected for all the power, and other worldly intelligence that he possesses...but i highly doubt, whether will he be able to garner same amount of respect minus the tag of GREAT MSK

ok now i am really wondering what are we talking about, with all the bullshit that i am spouting 😆
