Zarin 👏. This last chapter ,I guess, can be interpreted in numerous ways. I will put forth my interpretations but I look forward to reading other's point of view. I apologize if this is not what this is not what you wanted to say. I think you have titled this chapter appropriately. "Alone" ...I think Maan's box is his loneliness. He is tied in it maybe by his ego?, his past?...I m not sure. He was at the top of the world (peak of his career maybe?), she was around, he had her. She decided to leave, he realized "to have and to hold". He tries to hold onto her but cannot reach her, he falls into his own personal hell.

He "willed" himself out of his "box"...thats "all" that he needed to do. What made him will it?...was it his love for her, was it his loneliness or the fact that she left him?...Anyway when gets out of his "box" he looks for her and "sees" her. But he does not recognize her. Is it becoz he does not really know the person in front. Maybe he was too busy in his world to actually "see" who she really is or what she wants. I think it is Geet's soul he is talking to, who tells him to set her free, so he can find herself, to find a way to get out of her own box. Completely my interpretation, maybe completely out of whack 😆.

You out do yourself with each update and I crave for more. I have no words to describe how wonderful the update was, cannot put it into words so won't except a big thank you!! 👍🏼

He was running away from a beast quite a while ago, and now when the woman was away, he was trapped in a box, with a person out there sucking the remnants of air from the box?

He, who was tied down by invisible threads in the suffocating box, still want to hold on to her, stop her, when he heard her moving away, and in the process fell from the cliff, releasing himself from the bonds, when he was least expecting it.

"You belong in this place, in its peace. Far more than I do, in fact."

This statement was such a slap on face. It changed the entire course of thinking I was having till then. Wasn't he free from the box now? Free out of the claustrophobic place? Free? But why does the freedom comes at a cost of silence, and loneliness. Why does that sound more of a punishment rather than a gift of freedom?

"There are some people who are still trapped in their boxes. Let them be. It is not up to you to decide their fate."

I quite agree with D here. How can you not do anything if the other person is trapped and is suffering like you did moments ago? Is that fair enough to leave the other person to their fate, and let them be? Not understanding what they want?

Your punishment for leaving us for real life! Hmpf!
