They moved back. He looked her crimson red face, showing his effect on her. It felt like mirror of her heart, her feel, her soul which was his and his only. He was the happiest and luckiest man of this world and beyond. He had never felt anything same to this and now, had nothing to wish more. She was here for him, was everything what he could long, carve for. He cupped her face, gave a peak on top of head. Her innocent gesture attracted his eyes to see, read it engrossedly. He was amazed to see, she had forgotten entire surrounding being his near.
"Geet .. don't you want to go home?" he said slowly making her realize it was already happened thick & dark night. she jerked back, started panicking. " ab kya hoga Maan. bauji will kill me" she was on verge of cry. she speedily stood up, started searching her bag, everything was blurred due to forming tears in her eyes.
" Geet.. Geet listen me Mishti, dont be worry" he was not liking her worried face. it felt like he was the reason of her panic and it, pained him inside. he made her calm, held her face, made her see him, in his eyes. " Do you trust me? " asked, waited for her one nod eagerly.
" hmm" she nodded, gave him heart-full of joy.
" Then believe me Geet. everything will be fine, hmm" she saw a strange confident in his eyes. she smiled in tears which had already dropped from eyes. he wiped it smiling. " now tell me what did you say to uncle?"
" I am with Pinky" she said sobbing.
" Hm lets go" he dragged her to car and made her sit, came back behind wheel and started engine. They were in her half way when Geet got Pinky call. "Geett!!! kaha hai tu" Geet had to literally jumped back, kept phone away from ears escaping from Pinky shout. " Geet bari gadbad ho gayi.. where are you yaar. Why the hell you had kept your your phone switched off?"
"What happened Pinky" Geet became more nervous, looked Maan with pity face. Maan raised eyebrows " what happened" he did speaker on.
" Geet uncle had called at home and unluckily, Mama took it up. she told you did not come here. Geet tu toh gayi" Pinky was very worried
"where were you Pinky!!!!" she panicked
" Geet I was in market. mama had sent me to buy some kitchen stuffs and when I came back phone had already ended"
Geet felt she was dead. It was last moment she was spending with Maan. She cut call and started becoming paler. Could not even imagine how was she going to handle her Babuji anger.
" Call to Pinky" Maan said without any delay. She stared him blankly. " call to Pinky Geet!! .
I m saying you don't need to be worry "
she just did what he said, called Pinky and handed over phone to him. " Hello Pinky" he said
" Geet teri awaz ko kya ho gaya " pinky asked confused.
"Ahem! its Maan " he said firmly. Pinky didn't know anything about them . she was shocked to respond back. " Hello.. are you there"
" oo ha.. " she uttered somehow, was trying to figure out what is happening.
"Pinky do what I tell you okay. Go to Geet home taking some books or stuffs, gave to uncle and say you and Geet were in market, Geet bought this things and then she got call from office. She left from there saying you to deliver her stuffs home. And do tell that you got busy in shopping after her leaving and got late. Rest i will manage. understood?
" wow what an idea sir ji" Pinky thought. she nodded saying " ji samjh gayi"
"Good.. Now go and do" he hung up and turned to Geet who was looking him amused. He gave his phone to her and said to call home, tell uncle that she is in office and her phone got off and then hand over to him. she did , called Mohindar and said she had to leave for office.
" Why didn't you inform me " Mohindar was furious in tension.
"Bauji wo i had told Pinky to inform you. she has also my some stuffs. didn't she come reach yet?"
" No she dint"
"I am sorry bauji. I had said her to inform you. She must be got busy in shopping. I am really sorry bauji" Geet had tears in her eyes. she was not liking this all ..she was not liking lying to her father. she started crying. Mohindar heard her cry, got worried,melted.
" Koi baat nahi beta it happens sometime. But where are you now, how will you be back. its already got night'' He was bit paniking
" Bauji woh.. Maan is with me. He wants to talk to you" she handed over to him
" Hello!! namaste uncle " He greeted sincerely. he was too hating her to see her sad. He convinced Mohinder that it was all his mistake, that had to call Geet office immediately. And now he is coming to drop her home.
Mohindar trusted Maan, He got calm. Hung up phone hearing doorbell. It was Pinky. Poor girl, she had to hear all shout of Mohindar not to inform about Geet. Pinky cursed Geet mentally. " Geet ki bachi ko chorungi nahi. let her come back. Aaj toh uski khair nahi" She was patiently listening all Mohindar shouts, keeping her head down and when he become light, lovingly called her inside.
" Did you have dinner uncle"
"No beta.. I was waiting for Geet"
"Ohh uncle I again forgot to tell you. She had told that make you eat. she will be late. So I am going to serve you uncle, you do your dinner and sleep. I will be here till she comes, okay!! " Mohindar, nodded, smiled, did his food and withdrew to sleep.
"Geet, today you are gone my dear friend. I'm not going to leave you easily. Come soon dear, waiting'' Pinky settled in Geet room, sat, waited for her to return.
