PART 14

Adi who was watching them both fighting over food shook his head in dismay and went out.

Maan saw Adi coming out of his cabin and called him

Adi went towards him and said, "yes sir."

"Umm, the procedure is done and its quite late so will you drop Geet before going home?" Maan asked him.

"mein' sir' umm' Sure Sir but sir kal se Geet ke saath kaun rahega?" Adi asked

Maan who was watching Yash and Geet fighting over food was boiling with jealousy, 'how dare he eats with my Geet'

he was lost when Adi's voice brought him back, "Sirr"

"Yeahh." Maan said.

"Sir Geet ke saath kaun rahega Kal se?" Adi repeated.

"Me'. Tum," he was going to say 'mein' but stopped in middle, "tum aur kaun, beech mein jab tumhe kuch kaam hoga toh Taruna yeah Yash ko bhej dena. Aur kabhi kabhi mein chala jaya karunga." Maan said

Adi asked in shockingly, "AAP!!!"

Maan looked at him sternly and said, "kyun koi problem h?"

Adi shook his head negatively and went to see whether they have finished their food fight or not.

Geet was informed that Adi is accompanying her and she was very angry. She wanted to talk to Maan. She knew he would not allow her to go alone at this hour of night.

Yes he will not leave her alone but why Adi, why not himself?

She went to his cabin and closed the door with a bang sound, and stood there with her hands crossed against her chest and watching him with ferocious eyes.

He was surprised to see this side of her, Sherni side. He stood there with his one eyebrow up like asking what?

"Why the hell I am going home with Adi?" Geet asked.

He thought, 'ohh toh iss baat ka gussa h'

he said, "I can trust Adi isliye tumhare saath bhej rha hun." And turned his back pretending like he working and Geet was happy to hear that but still maintained her anger.

"Oh yeah, mene kab kaha ki I don't trust Adi, he is very kind and I see him as my brother, but still aap kyun nhi chal sakte mujhe chodne?" she asked.

"I am not your puppet ki tum jo bologi mei vohi karunga neither I am your personal driver who will drive you home. I don't care what ever happens to you. Understand." Maan spit the rude words not realizing how much he hurt her saying this.

Here she wanted to settle everything in between them and he was showing his attitude to her.

He thought he heard a sob behind him and turned just to see her angel with tears brimming in her eyes and nose all red with so much pressure of controlling her tears.

He cannot stand her tears they were hurting him, making his heart cry. He made his way towards her and was going to wipe her tears off when she shoved his hand and turned around.

He came from the other side and raised his hand again but this time she again turned around and stood with his back towards him.

Now he was very angry, he grabbed her arm and turned her around making her stand face to face with him and roughly wipe her tears off her face.

They both were lost in each other's eyes.

He knew that Geet somewhere inside her heart has some feelings for him, he can clearly look in her eyes. whereas, Geet saw confusion and darkness in his eyes.

Suddenly they heard a knock on the door and set away from each other. It was Adi asking Geet to come. She walked towards the door, before she could go out Maan said, "Don't play with fire Geet, you may burn."

She scoffed hearing his warning, " I actually love playing with fire Maan!"

He was actually not surprised hearing her reply. He knew she is very stubborn and will not listen to him easily. He sighed and continued his work.

The drive was silent as Geet was in her own dreamland thinking about the last encounter with Maan. 'He was trying to warn me, you still don't know the real Geet Handa Mr.Khurana.' thinking this she smirked.

Adi said breaking the silence, "Geet tum kya krti ho?"

Geet came out of her trance and replied, "I am a dancer Adi, meri ek professional dance academy h."

"ohh great" Adi said.

"Thanks, you know I feel very good when I see people dancing around me." She said.

"He he he." Adi laughed manically thus scaring Geet. She watched his face and started laughing too.

Adi got a call. He picked up the call-driving car with one hand. (Bad Adi breaking the traffic rules, but who will charge him he is himself a cop) it was Maan's call.

"Yesss sir' yes sssir'. Okayyy sir' don't worry sir I willl check everything. Okay sssir'. bye." She knew it was Maan's call and seeing sweat beads on Adi's forehead and his stammering.

She could not hear him properly but can understand with Adi's reply that Maan was asking him to care of her safety and blah blah. She rolled her eyes, 'and he says he don't care!'

She got off the car and asks Adi to come in. he denied and said, "its getting late I should leave and very sorry for today Geet. We troubled you a lot."

Oh lord this trouble word reminded her of the argument they both had when she didn't knew about Maan's profession and blurted out, ' no I mean you know what I have a theory that you call police to get rid of troubles but they only give you more troubles.' (u guys remember!!! 😉😉)

She smiled and said Good night to Adi and went inside the house.

Adi checked the arrangements talked to the police officers that were going to give 24-hour duty outside her house and keeping a track of people coming in and out.

He asked them not to trouble her and never go infront of her. Maan did everything he can do for her safety, without telling her. Or else she will again bug him.

She directly went to her bed, didn't even changed her dress and slept.

Here Maan went home after 1 and tiptoed inside his room or else Dadi will tear him apart for coming home late. He changed and went o his bed and tried to sleep but her face was disturbing or we should say pleasing him, 'Her smile, her eyes and her sweet voice. Her way of eating oh God, leave it. She eats like a banshee when she is hungry.'

Maan slept thinking about her.
