Loved the chapter Fozia!
I've never imagined Maan singing. And Geet and Maan doing a duet where Geet is the one with the screeching voice! 😆
I feel bad for Dev now. He trusted and loved his mother blindly and unconditionally and this is what he gets. To see the darker side of his mother's face the hard way. Poor him!
Really love Geet and Pinky's friendship. The way they joke and taunt at each other while knowing they wish the best for the other is just so endearing.
Yay! Sasha's back! Looking forward to DaSha/Sev. 😃
Pammi's idea of drastic actions is scaring me. I wonder what more she'll do to harm the Khuranas... She accepts it to herself that all she does is for herself and not for Dev..? Whatever she does, I'm sure her plans are going to backfire. Badly.
"...it was a nightmare trying to get out of it when I needed to pee."
🤣 Is it really difficult to get out of a sari at such crucial times? 😆
Thanks for the PM! Update soon. 😊
🤗I totally love these two...
Some people should be banned from singing even in the shower.Foz, I love this Geet. She is not perfect, she is real and all the things that make her real are sweet in their way...30 day trial period...😆And Shreya? She would turn over if we compare Geet to her...A singing Maan Singh Khurana... never crossed my mind... but I like it.It reminds me of Ajay Devgan in Hum dil de chuke sanam...😆Poor driver...Pammi's raw anger... I felt good to see it...Now do do do continue soon otherwise you will see a daily thap thap from meThanks for updating...🤗 for all your support.

Manish should know that his would be daughter in law( l know long way to go😊)is quite smart & her being a bathroom singer doesn't lessen her professional brilliance by a ounce😆...poor driver😆 but he should know jawani ke josh mein aisha hota hai & he got Maan's sympathy too😆...l love croissant, wish had one now
Lovely part

Ha ha what an update!!! 😊
Firstly my dear dearest Dev - Shasha... OMG. She is back & so are all the fireworks that we can expect soon here...😉 A big hug to you for this... 🤗 . Lovely progress...When Maan was singing in the shower, from some unknown reason I was reminded of the new idea tune ..." your my pumpkin pumpkin... your my hunny bunny..." 😆😆 Hayee but what a picture he must have made... 😳 ( I know I'm becoming besharam here ... but all your fault to present it likewise...)So pinky is moving to her hubby dearest's place ... hmm bechare besties getting separated but yet will be connected at heart. Loved this couple, so adorable & fast paced in contrast to their tubelight friends who have eternally sworn to take the path of tortoise. M-G should learn something from Yash-Pinky. They both are so slow... and see Yash-Pinky already married & settled.Manish is fed up of this Laila- Majnu. Everyone knows about them as a couple except these two singers who are running in all directions sparing the one leading to each other... Kya in dono ka kuch ho gaya kabhi??? I so loved his dialogue about them romancing& dancing in fields in times of crisis & need...😆🤣 . Poor Driverji... I pity his eardrums, Geet is good in what she does the best - being a sherni & protector of her Boss... not a singer. But yes Maan's singing talent was something not seen coming...Pammi ... I guess Dev has planned something Big along with Manish. She has faced defeat umpteen times but just doesn't give up plotting. Must say this lady does have a lot of energy & stamina all channelised in the negative direction...😆😉Maan -Geet. I wonder how will their ship sail (once they become a couple officially & one when both have accepted it whole heartedly without all that oh so self-sacrifice for the betterment of the other... ) They seem to flow in directions that always land them both in trouble. They assume the other is present for back up without even confiding with the said person as though they are connected by some telepathic waves... & ultimately dig a huge grave for both. Seriously they have huge communication issues which is root cause of all problems & biggest hurdle in their relationship. Each one is on their own merry ride ... I hope you will lead them through this phase & they emerge out as able & equal partners of life who will "share a long conversation of bonding which will always seem too short "...😊Waiting for more to come... & all the revealations, punishments, able leaderships, strong relations to be formed in future... 😊

Sasha was perched at the edge of Dev's desk, leafing through a file to freshen herself on what she had missed during her departure. Dev was faxing through documents for an associate when his mobile phone began ringing.
Sasha glanced down at the phone, then at Dev who ignored it for the first 3 rings, then said a hasty hello as he rushed out of the office.
She watched his retreating figure, then frowned. If he was up to what she thought he was up to, he was going to get himself into a lot of trouble...
...
Maan & Geet found themselves in Manish's office, waiting for him to patiently return.
Geet felt like a naughty school child who had been called into the headmasters office, for a stern telling off.
Maan had a flashback at his university days when the Dean had called him in persistently for causing a ruckus around campus.
Geet opened her mouth to speak, but she was cut off by the sound of the door swinging open and Sasha stepping inside.
"Sasha, you're back?!" Maan exclaimed in surprise, at the young woman who looked as confused as they felt.
"Er, yeah, welcome back to me, thanks, whatever," she brushed him off, eager to get the answer to her burning question. "Why has Manish sir called us all here?"
The former singing duo looked down at their feet in embarrassment. Sasha grinned slowly and folded her arms.
"Ohhh. I get it. You two have been getting a little, shall we say frisky, in the storeroom closet, right?"
"What?!" "No!" they both spluttered at the same time. He adjusted his tie whilst she played with a lock of her hair, both of them wanting the ground to swallow them whole.
"I apologise. Geet's more of an adventurer, so it was the escalator. Suspended between two floors, the gravitational force fuelling more fire to the chemistry..." she winked cheekily.
"Sasha please, it's nothing like that," Maan exclaimed, praying for once that his father would make an entrance.
His prayers were answered, but it was Dev instead this time, who pushed up his glasses as he stepped into the quarters.
"Hey everyone. Any idea why Manish sir has called for a mother's meeting? Either we're all getting promoted, or we're all getting fired," he laughed lightly, attempting to diffuse the tension in the air.
...
It was neither a promotion nor an expulsion, but rather an interrogation.
Neither four of them had been prepared for this.
Manish had taken them down to one of the meeting rooms and had them all sit side by side whilst he sat on the opposite side, his fingers laced on the lavish glass panel in front of him.
"Let's all rewind back to last night, shall we? Chittesh."
Maan, Sasha & Dev all exchanged looks of surprise and uncertainty at Manish's knowledge, but Geet kept her eyes trained on her lap.
Manish kept his eyes trained on her.
"Geet."
"Yes, Manish sir?"
"You knew I was watching, didn't you?"
"You knew?!" Maan asked, shooting an accusatory glance at her. Dev & Sasha shrugged at each other & turned to Ms Handa for her explanation.
Geet looked Manish in the eye before speaking. "I'm not 100% confident it was you behind the CCTV, sir. But yes, I did see a flashing light on one CCTV camera, the one positioned where we were last night."
"Why didn't you say anything?" Dev asked.
"Because the girl has sense," Manish answered, standing up from his chair. "If she would have told you, you would have relied upon me to sort the mess out? Am I right?"
Silence.
"Exactly. Now I am more than confident that after my retirement, you boys are capable enough to handle the reins. I wanted to raise awareness in the fact that business is not just about sitting behind a desk, approving plans and meeting with clients. You need to have eyes in the back of your head, at the sides, literally everywhere."
Manish paced the floor behind his chair as four pairs of eyes followed his movements back and forth.
"Khurana Constructions is renowned worldwide. Just like Pammi, there will be others who will try to dig their claws into the stakes, or try to make the business crash."
He paused, scanning each of their faces, before finally resting on Dev.
"Dev."
"Yes, Uncle?"
"Your mother needs to receive her downfall. Are you in agreement?"
"Yes," he answered without a flicker of hesitation.
"Good. So we're all on board." He placed his hands on the table and leaned in. "This is the plan..."
...
Half an hour later, the four of them emerged. Geet bit her lip out of habit as she scanned Maan's expression, then Dev's. Sasha placed a comforting hand on Dev's shoulder, feeling how tense his muscles had suddenly become.
"Dev." Maan stepped forward, hands in his pockets as he faced his cousin. "I appreciate everything that you're doing for the company. I know we've never seen eye to eye in the past few years, but I will never forget this."
"My heart & soul is in the business as much as your heart & soul is, Maan. I'll do anything to save the place that I consider as my home."
...
Comfortably settled into her new home, Pinky found herself in the kitchen as her husband had gone to attend to a client meeting.
She had shooed the servants away, eager to make dinner for Yash for the first time in her home as Mrs Pinky Singhania.
"Now, in which cupboard do they keep the tomatoes?" she stepped back, admiring the 20 or so cabinets that lined the magnificent kitchen, which was big enough to be a large sized living room.
"Oh my word," she breathed, as the complexity of the task finally struck her. But she shook her head, erasing the thoughts of defeat. "I will do this & I will do this alone. I will make a spaghetti bolognese for Yash. Once I find the ingredients in this maze."
...
Pammi was the last to enter the meeting room, as usual. Her spicy scent wafted through the room as she took her usual seat & glared at Manish.
Manish had a smile on his face, an unnerving smile which unsettled her. She had her suspicions that he was aware of the incident the night before, but then why was he so elated?
"I am proud to announce that the day has come, when I, Manish Singh Khurana, officially hand over my title of CEO of Khurana Constructions to the rightful heir."
Pammi's stomach flipped with nerves as she waited with baited breath amidst the excited hustle of her fellow senior employees.
"Is it going to Maan?" Suraj Mehta asked, as assumed by everyone seeing as he was the eldest son.
But Manish surprised them with a shake of his head. "That's where I can't reveal any more information, because then the surprise will be spoiled." His gaze flitted to Pammi. "But Ms Pammi will be pleased to know that the title is open to both Maan & her son, Dev Singh Khurana - my nephew."
Murmurs ricocheted around the room.
"It's only fair that both of our aspiring young men get an equal chance, right? After all, they are both eligible to take over as CEO."
Pammi's face was beaming brighter than a diamond. After all these years of plotting & scheming, her ultimate goal was in the grasp of her fingers. And she was determined to never let it slip out of reach.
"The next CEO will be announced at a party, being held at an exclusive venue on Saturday night. Everyone who is anyone in India will be invited, so I look forward to seeing you all there."
Everyone stood up to take their leave, excitedly guessing at which Khurana would get the position & discussing possible outfit ideas. Manish noticed Pammi exiting along with the crowd, exchanging pleasantries with Suraj as her eyes sparkled like they never had before.
Hook, line and sinker, Manish smirked, folding his hands together in satisfaction.
Doing the happy dance...😊
