Geet beta are you ready' the boy's family will reach here in an hour' asked rano, geet's mother caressing her cheeks' geet just nodded her head exasperated' geet please try to understand beta it's the eighth boy who is coming to see you... said rano worried' mom is it my fault that they all reject me' said geet as tears spilled from her eyes wetting her smooth skin'

Geet wore the only expensive sari she had in her small cupboard' she didn't needed any extra makeup' her natural glow is her x-factor which can even make a saint to bend on her knees' but she just dreamt to make her parents proud which she did since the day she was born still failed to fulfill the biggest wish of theirs' they just wished to see her settled but she knew that's not in her cards now'

The boy's family arrived after an hour and mohinder, geet's father received them with bowed head' the boy's parents smirked looking at his bowed head and instead of greeting him respectfully they just moved inside in a rudely way' though mohinder was hurt but its nothing new for him' who ever came here to see his daughter would just behave like this only'

Mohinder took them inside and asked them to sit on the only sofa set they have in their entire two room house' the living room was small like the other room in which the whole family sleep together' the guests looked at the small wooden sofa and made face' you want us to sit on this hard thing' don't you know how to respect the people in whose house your daughter may go' said the mother of boy in disgust'

Mohinder just bend his head in shame' we just have only this sofa in the house' if you have problem I will spread a bed sheet on it if you want' said mohinder hesitantly' the father just nodded his head and then turned to eye the house' you all live in this place' how you all just fit here he said in disgust while rano spread the best sheets they have in house for them to sit'

She served them home made food and water' they refused saying they cant even touch such a food' their straight comment brought tears in rano's eyes but she hided them for the sake of their daughter' I think you just show us your daughter and that would be the best you could do for us' said boy now getting restless to wait to see the girl or say scan the girl whom he had come to see'

Rano brought geet and settled her on the only chair they have while mhinder and rano stayed standing behind her' so you are their daughter' what's your name said pammi, the mother of the boy' geet she replied in her sweet voice but it didn't had any effect on pammi' cant you speak loudly she taunted' geet said a little loudly' geet mohinder handa'

Geet felt so much insulted' the degrees for which she worked day and night are just neglected in front of her eyes' but she knew she cant reply anything' dad I want her to go and wash her face so that I can check whether she is fair in complexion as she had came or had used tones of makeup to hide her real face and we can even see then that she can walk properly or not' said Rahul, the boy who came to see her'

Geet the very moment knew what the hell life is going to turn into if he agreed to marry her but the most important for her was his acceptance for marriage as geet wanted her parents happiness the most which lies in her marriage' she looked at her parents who just closed her eyes feeling miserable at the insult of their daughter and she moved to wash her face'

After she came back' they asked few other shameless questions like will she satisfy their son or not' is she ready to bear their grandson and give thema waris within a year' she was even asked to abort the child if it's a girl child' geet just answered each question without any question' at last the boy said' umm dad chehra to thik thak h and even she can walk too' she has good body too so what do you think we should say yes' said Rahul shamelessly to his parents who just nodded smiling while mohinder felt why he didn't died before hearing such things about her daughter'

geet remained silent as she knew her heart had turned into a stone hearing these words everytime' earlier she used to feel hurt but now it is all blank'She is just a body for them' a girl who will do all their household work like a servant whole day and would be insulted every second without a fault' a girl who would satisfy their son at night even she doesn't want to' a girl who will bear their son's child but of it's a boy she would be forced to kill her'

rajesh stopped and said' ok we will agree but you had to do one thing for us' mohinder immediately agreed' ok you transfer this house on our name and we will accept your daughter' mohinder felt floor slipped beneath his feet' but where will we go then' we had this only shelter for our old age' that's your problem not ours' if you had to beg you do and fill yourself but you had transfer this house on my son's name'

it was too much for geet to take' she could handle anything but not insult of her parents who are her lives' she moved to them and held her father tightly consoling him' she then turned to rajesh and his son and said' are you here to take me as your son's wife or to sale your son at our house' she barked on their face' you little girl just mind your tongue' roared Rahul'

hey you don't try to speak now' if you had any respect or any manners you should have spoken when they were openly putting your price up' but their you were like cat got your tongue and now what did you wanna prove by speaking' you proved me that very instant what type a spineless creature you are' and now I refuse to marry such a boneless person'

geet's parent tried to stop her but now she had lost the last bit of control she had' she just ignored them and spoke what her heart wanted to' now she was sure she wont take a single men like them' she is fed up being a showpiece and then being rejected over and over again'

and mr rajesh I refuse to hear your shit more' its not in my parent's upbringing to insult someone but I am also thought to support justice an di refuse to take your words more' so if you don't want me to show your reality to you then please go out of here in the next second' they all were astonished to see a meek girl turning into a tigress and ran off the very second to save themselves from turning her prey'

geet why did you do that' said mohinder with tears in his eyes' so what do you expect me to do bauji' just let them insult you and see everything infront of my eyes like a doll' no dad I wont' I wont take all this now' I am just fed up of seeing all this every time' mohinder had seen her such hyper first time and knew she had been hurt more than she can take'

it was a love at first sight for maan and he proposed her then and there and got a tight punch on his eye as a reply' but he didn't stopped himself' he followed her everywhere she went and after two weeks of efforts he made her agree for friendship' they had 4 months period of non-official dating where they came to know each other and then geet told him about the rejections she faced'

he promised to love her all his life which geet knew by now and just agreed for marriage' now they are married for more than a year and have little sneha, their happiness who bounded them in a more stronger bond' it was maan's wish to have a girl, a little geet which she loved the most' they regularly go once in a year to meet her parents who feels blessed to have maan as their son in law though he is more than a son for them'
