I totally understand this concept, bcoz trust me like in this story maan came for geet, for me before my prince charming came, I had to undergo all this. I had 69 guys coming and seeing me and being a little dark compared to my parents and sis and being the elder, people wanted fair looking girls.. Each day was humiliating as I felt i used to be displayed as a doll.
Even though my father wanted to spend a lot for my wedding, but I used to tell him that after my marriage there was my sister and ofcourse they need to have a peaceful life in the retirement.

My father was very much in favour and did not want me to get married as he did not consider me or my sister as burden...but my mother was petrified and used to feel that since I was not so gud looking and fair...I might never get married and this might hamper my sis' future...

This thing is so humiliating, but I am glad that my husband came and now we are happily married for 10 years...when I read this OS I understand what goes through each girl and even though we boast that we are modern and have moved in thoughts forward, we still are not forward with the marriage thing..

I and geet in this case was lucky, but how many others are so lucky...hmmm well enough of my emotional drama...want to just say Neha wonderfully written 😊
