PART 18

At Evening

Mohindar came home. he saw a new guest and asked to geet about savitri devi. geet told him everything. mohindar greeted SD politely. SD liked his simple living and nature. she dint want to do anything without let him knowing so she told mohindar everything. ( mohindar was out of town those days so could not know about all media thing)

mohindar shocked first knowing that her geet and maan marriage news is been published all over. he felt guilt as because of his daughter maan n SD had to bear all these tensions. but dadi dint let him feel ashame as she said its her good luck that geet came in maan life. she kept marriage proposal for geet. mohindar dint know what to say. he lost in thought when dadi said he can take time to think as she knew its not a simple matter. its matter of his daughter life. mohindar thanked her. though he knew it was best proposal for geet still he wanted to think once. he said SD that he would tell her tomorrow. SD smiled and nodded saying

" hume koi jaldi nahi hai mohindarji.. aap aaram se soch sakte hai. hum jaante hai ki ye geet ki puri zindgi ka swal hai. "

mohindae felt blessed finding this good nature lady and maan as geet s would be family. he told tomorrow he will tell his decision. and he left to some where.

maan reached to geet home. he was still thinking what dadi said and top of all, how she came to know about geet. thinking he reached and knocked door. geet opened door and surprised to see maan.

" aree maan aap.. aap kyu aaye? ?

" kyu.. kya mai yaha aa nahi sakta " he said entering inside casually like he owned this home.

" nahi. mera matlab tha aapne bataya nahi tha na pahle.. isiliye maine socha " she closed door

" geet.. tum socha mat karo..samjhi tum.. waise uncle kaha hai" he said and sat on sofa.

" papa kahi bahar gaye hai..maan mai apki coffee lati hu.. " geet said and went to kitchen. Maan also followed her. both were unknown with a spy eye who was following their all actions.

" hmm.. hume to kaha ki dadimaa kon si larki... aur yaha ye gul khilaye jaa rahe hai.. per ek baat to hai..dono sath me lagte bahut cute hai.." dadi closed her eyes and thanked babaji for sending geet in maan life.

Maan stood behind geet. " aree maan aap yaha.. bahar baithiye na. mai coffee lati hu" she said

maan - kyu..mera yaha aana tumhe pasand nahi " he looked her teasingly

geet - nahi asi baat nahi..per wo dadi hai na .. wo kya sochengi

dadi name brought maan back to his dread world. " dadi '. oo haa mai to bhul hi gaya tha.. geet kiski dadi aayi hai...

geet- pata nahi maan.. muhje to raaste me mili.. to mai ghar le aayi

maan- geet..tumhe jo bhi aira gaira raaste me milega tum ghar le aaogi ..haa. " he said almost shouted

" kyaaa... maan aapne hume aira gaira kaha.. " dadi came angering.. " haan haan.. ab toh hum aapke liye bojh hi ban gaye hai " drama queen started her acting .. with pouting baby face

geet- maan .. you know her ??

dadi- geet beta.. yahi hai humaare ghar ke chiraag .. humaare pote .. jo hume ab aira gaira samjhte hai "

maan rolled his eyes.' dadi aap kya bol rahi hai.. mera wo matlab nahi tha "

Geet was going to say when phone rang. She went out from there. Dadi came to maan smirking.. " toh maan bete.. ab aap bolenge ya mai bolu

maan- kya dadimaa "he turned hiding his blush

dadi- achha to aap sharmaate bhi hai .. wse maan hume geet kuch khas pasand nahi .. " she said being very serious. Maan turned to her shocked.

Maan- per dadi abhi to aap geet se achhe se baat kar rahi thi

dadi- haan kar rahi thi.. per wo to mai sabse karti hu .. hai na .. per agar aapko wohi pasand ho to mai aapko mana nahi karungi.. humaari pasand naa pasand se kya hota hai ..

maan dint know what to say... dadi agar aapko geet nahi pasand to fir ' saying he turned other side and shocked to see dadi smiling (in mirror)' he understood she was teasing him .. he thought " achha to ye baat hai .. dadi..ab aap meri acting dekhiye'

maan- dadi agar aapko geet nahi pasand to fir mujhe bhi wo kuch khas pasand nahi hai ..

dadi shocked ' kya?? maan per...

maan- dadi.. she is very nice girl but mere type ki nahi hai.. aur wo to yaha gaao (village) me rahi hai.. humaare sath Delhi me, humaare status ko kaise match kar paayegi ..

dadi- maan humto mazak kar rahe thy.. I like geet, beta.. aur humne toh mohindarji se baat bhi kar li hai

maan- what ?? but why dadi.. maine aapse kab kaha ki mai shaadi ke liye ready hu.. aur waise bhi she is not that beautiful like I would die to marry her.. " he said smiling, hiding his laugh." haa dadi.. geet me hai hi kya jo mai usse shaadi kar lu " he turned to dadi and shocked to see .. geet was standing there, silent, hearing all they talked.
