Chapter 40
After the incident at the hospital yesterday, Maan had decided to bring Geet home with full round the clock doctors and nurses who will stay by her side at all time. Everything was planned perfectly for her welcoming back home. The whole mansion was decorated with flowers and candles, a band awaited at the entrance of the gate for them, while other servants formed a line holding plates with flower petals.
He was taking her back to the mansion where he had brought her as his wife as per doctors instructions to help her be back to normal. She was still in shock, just sitting there like a zombie not talking to anyone or making any eye contacts much like right now as the car takes them to their home.
It was bothering him to see her like this, he wanted her to yell at him, look at him, acknowledge his presence but nothing. She just sits there without any emotions..she wasn't even happy hearing that the baby is alive. For now, he will do whatever he can in his power to take care of her and especially the baby.
As soon as both entered through the mansions gate, the band started playing music as planned. Maan looks at Geet for any reaction or emotion but nothing happened..he was disappointed; if she stays like this then the baby and Geet will be at risk. Even though he just recently found out about the baby he is already attached to it..he can't imagine his life without Geet and the baby. He needs both of them which he accepted. Without Geet he can't breath, without Geet he can't rest, without Geet his life seems so empty and baseless but still can't give the full reason as to why.
Maan helps Geet get out of the car gently she just follows him without saying anything. He protectively puts his arm around her waist pulling her closer making sure that she was near him all the time. Now, he couldn't let her escape again nor loose her in any way. The servants threw flowers on the floor making a rose petal walkway toward the enterance of the mansion where Maan could see Dadima standing with aarti plate.
He knew that she wouldn't be mad at him for long after all he is all she has now after mom and dad's death. He stops in front of her smirking..Dadima smiles at Geet as she does arti. After finishing Maan bends down to take her blessing but Dadima moves away putting her arms around Geet bringing her in. Maan stands up without knowing what is going on...first Geet now Dadima..it pinched him to see the indifference between the two.
Dadima helps her sit on the couch while a servant brings a glass of juice. She holds the glass in her hand close to her mouth..."Geet beta this will be good for the baby...here drink this" She brings it closer to her mouth to make her drink when Maan holds the glass. Dadima looks at him with anger and stands up. "What is all this Maan!"
Maan: I think I would know what is good for my baby and what is not
Dadima: First learn how to be a good brother, a grandson, a husband then and ONLY then you can learn to be a good father UNTIL THEN DON'T INTERFERE WITH ME! And in case you have forgotten I helped your mother during her pregnancy and look how you (she stops and turns her face away) anyway if you are done here then shall I continue with Geet?
Maan leaves them alone with anger going straight to the gym. Dadima sits next to Geet patting her head.
"Geet don't worry I am with you...I am always here with you..I made a big mistake in letting you go alone..I should've gone with you making sure you are okay and protected...I have failed in many relations; as a wife, as a mother, as a mother-in-law and especially as a grand-mother...but not anymore...(she holds Geet's face in her hands with tears) I will not let you become another victim in this house...and espeically when you are pregnant...I will make sure you and your kid get all the happiness you guys deserve...okay?"
Geet just looks at her..Dadima looks at her with tears..."please say something...your baby is alive..you are alive..." (she puts Geet's hand on her stomach letting her feel her baby) "do you feel another life inside you? The baby needs you Geet..you have to be normal..say something..."
Geet looks at her with blank expressions...Dadima helps her upstairs to her bedroom informing the servants to bring her food. Dadima feeds her the food and her medicines before tucking her in for sleep...the nurse as appointed by Maan stood by her side looking after Geet while Dadima left the room. She prayed that everything will be sorted out soon...
Maan kicked his punching bag with anger..remembering everything about his Dadima's words..."be a good brother, grandson, a husband..."
He breaks the punching bag.."haven't I done all that? What things did they lack? Whatever anyone wanted anything he provided them with twice the things. Vicky is in better school because of him, Dadima is living in his big mansion with around the clock servants because of him and Geet...he made her a princess...a mere peasant girl who had nothing who couldn't even imagine this amount of wealth and fame...HE gave her the opportunity to experience it THEN what went wrong? Why are they complaining? They should be happy that they are still alive with all the luxuries..what do they lack now in life?
"You..your love..."
Maan looks up to see himself dressed in all white smiling at him.

I know I said two updates but for today this is what I could do...I will update another part tomorrow and send pm's to everyone before I leave for a week.
Also, I will try to update Opposite world and if I do then it will be short I think so please be patience with me...I am trying to juggle a lot right now😭😭
