After a frustrating wkend I walked into my office.. my luk potraying my mind.. I knew I looked unkept.. bt I was nt upto it!! As if d tiff wid geet wasn't enuf, der was a huge fight wid sameera which I had still not sorted out!! Sameera, though not unreasonably, was mad at d fact tht maahi had cm 2 my office n her announcing herself as my daughter made thngs worse.. I tried explaining to her bt she was no whr close to listening!!

"maan.. y dnt u understand its all geet's tactics to put to u in a spot..!"

"luk sam..maahi.."

"u mean geet's lil b*****d?"

"sam!! She's just a kid.." I felt an uncontrollable anger in me

"will u stop supporting her? even after all geet did to u.. "

"its nt tht.. her dad isn't well.."

"n who told u tht?"

"geet .."

"its convenient isn't it? A perfect time chosen to get thngs done their way?"

"her father is a heart patient.. just underwent an operation. N he cant possibly choose s time 2 fall ill!!."

"I don't care.." n she went on ranting abt dem..

The argument turned ugly n we said a lot of thngs 2 each odr which we dint mean to..

I know I shud hv called her n made it up to her.. but after her insensitivity 2 maahi which hurt me beyond wht I wanted 2 accept.. n my ego.. I refused 2 do so.. I know sameera wanted me to talk abt d divorce widout which I wasn't gonna b able 2 move on.. but seeing the condition geet was in, I was sure dis wud break her.. n despite d scenario between us.. I dint want to d one to break her!!

Sleepless nyts wer giving me headaches n I thought of hving coffee.. lucky 4 me, adi walked in wid one..

Adi was my business partner.. we had met just arnd d tym geet n I had parted ways.. my talent combined wid his finances n contacts had helped revive kc n nw d results were for all 2 c..

"here u cud wid sm?" he handed me my coffee mug.

"thnx.."

"wht happened 2 u? luks like meeting ur daughter who u dint know of has affected u like dis!!"

I felt like killing pinky.. bt den it was inevitable

"she's geet's daughter!!"

"oh.. I dint know she re-married!"

"no.." I hated d thot of it..

"u dnt.. fm wht pinky told me.. d kid seemed arnd ten.. isn't tht wen geet n u separated?"

"maan r u sure u aren't making a mistake.. I mean u cud alwz go for a dna test?"

"luk adi.. I don't wanna talk abt dis!!"

"k fyn.. chill ya.. so hwz mrs khurana?"

"soon 2 b ex..! oh well.. she's fyn.. I guess!"

"k she's just.. nt fyn actually.. her bauji isn't well.."

"u mean his royal highness!!"

"yeah he was.. atleast in d past!!"

"so whts d prob.. I mean?"

"well he wants 2 go bk 2 his royal handa haveli in hoshiarpur..!"

"so whts d problem?"

"well it was a haveli ages ago.. its nt in gud condition.. n I don't think its fit to live widout a major renovatn.. n dey definitely cant afford it.. even when we married dey were just smhw managing thngs!!" he shuddered thinking hw geet wud manage..

"so u r gonna let it happen!!"

"I cant stop her" I added irritated wid d way thngs were.. though my mind told me it was none of my concern.. I just cudnt leave her like tht.. cud i??"

"wel.. do wht u think is ryt!! Bt I don't think sameera wil approve of ur interfering in geet's life"

"dis isn't abt sameera!!" I exclaimed

But it was.. sameera n I wer moving on.. thinking abt geet wasn't ryt.. n still me n sameera had wasted an entire wkend quarelling abt it!! Bt everytym geet's troubled hazels came in front of me.. It made me feel responsible for her.. which again wasn't ryt after wht had happened..

my inner turmoil seemed never ending!!
