chapter- 60

His legs carried him till the edge of the bed where she was sleeping oblivious to the whole world. He sat beside her softly and stared for sometime. Just by being by her side and watching her sleeping gave him so much relief that he was missing throughout these two weeks. It was as if she has a soothing effect on him.

Raising his hand, he gently brought it to her face and caressed her cheeks with he back of his hand. Her butter soft skin against his rough hnd was just perfect. Geet moved a bit in her sleep and a smile adorned her lips as if recognizing his touch. Maan was mesmerized by that angelic smile of hers.

He shifted closer to her and bend down bringing his face closer to her, just near her right cheek and placed a soft peck. As soon as his lips touched her skin, geet'ssleep was disturbed. Feeling his warm and rough lips on her cheeks, she opened her eyes slightly and was shocked to find him so close to her. She was about to say something, but maan was quick enough to close it with his palm.

Her eyes widened more, but then she saw something in his eyes, which she had missed immensely in the last few days. The similar love and passion, the very same zeal to love her in ways she never knew existed. It sent an electrifying feeling through the whole length of her spine. Just by his mere gaze she was all charged up with her heart beating with double speed in anticipation.

Maan brought his lips close to hers and whispered in deep husky voice...I missed you, love...!!

Her eyes brimmed up with his words which reflected both warmth and passion and she knew only her maan could bring such emotions together. But the next second she smelled a strong repulsing odour coming from his mouth and asked in an astonished tone...

Maan, you are drunk...??

But her words just brought a smile at hs face and he replied...yes sweetheart, I am drunk in your love...!!

But geet was not pleased with his flirtarious comment. She was rather worried for him. She got up and held his face in her palms...what happened maan...??...you never take so much of alcohol...then why...??...her voice was soft urging him to speak up. But as soon as she asked this, the afternoon scene flashed infront of his eyes...that creep's arm around his mishty...and something snapped in him. His eyes turned deep red with rage and his possessive streak came over him.

The next moment geet was pinned down beneath him as he came dangerously close to her...you are MINE...ONLY MINE...I'll not let anyone to snatch you away from me...do you get that...??

Why...??...geet gathered her wits to ask him knowing well its results...how can you claim me, when you yourself is getting engaged to someone else tomorrow...??

I don't know anything, I just won't let you go...his voice filled with desperation.

How are you going to do that maan...??...you have broken our relationship with your own hands...a tear dropped from her eyes, but before it could go below her cheeks maan licks it lovingly. She closed her eyes feeling his heavenly touch.

Don't cry mishty, I hate to see tears in your eyes...he kissed the corner of her lips...it pains here...saying so he pointed at his heart.

Then why do you make me cry...??...she asked again in her teary voice holding his collar...why are you giving me so much pain...??...why are you burning in our past when it is ruining our present...??...why...

Beofre she could go on maan captured her lips in his preventing her from speaking further. The kiss was smooth and gentle first both feeling each other after ages and then it grew intense...passionate...and what not...!!

They kissed pouring out their pain of separation as well as showing their desperation to each other. Their body pressed against the other in a perfect fit. Maan's rough lip guided geet's soft one and they danced in a synchronised rhythm, glued to each other.

After don't know how much time they parted only to take a deep breath and get back again. It was as if they couldn't get enough of each other. It was as if they got life back after drawning deep into the abyss of death...!!

When they finally parted maan looked into her eyes...deep honey brown ocean...and said...I'll never let anymore tear leave your eyes ever again...!!

He kissed both her eyes one by one sealing his words.

But...

Sshh...he placed his finger on her lips silencing her...no mishty, no more...I promise, I will make everything alright...his voice was heavy and she knew he would fall into deep sleep soon...I...I'll...m..ma...ke...every...everything alr..alrig...his head fell on her shoulders and his heavy breathing confirmed her doubts. He was in the land of nods...!!

Geet ran her fingers into his thick hair caressing him for a while and hen shifted him to the other side slowly. She got down from the bed and removed his shoes, tie and watch placing it on the bedside table. Then covering him with the blanket, she went to the couch in the room and slept all the time watching him.

Morning came and the rays of sun shine brightly into the room through the window and fell on the sleeping maan. Maan frowned due to the disturbance in his sleep and slowly opened his eyes with difficulty.

But as soon as he sat upright a severe pain shot through his head making him moan holding his head. His eyes still had not adjusted to his surrounding. But when it did, he felt weird and due to his headache it made him confused for a second...god, what is happening to my head...??...this pain...aahh...and where am I...??

He opened his eyes fully trying to adjust to the light in the room and looked around...yeh toh...this is geet's room...how did I end up here...??

He instantly stood up forgetting all pain searching for geet to get his answers, when his eyes fell on the letter on the table beside the bed. He picked up the letter and started reading...

Maan,

Don't stress yourself, your headache will increase...I have kept a tablet and lime juice on the tablet...have it. Go back to your room from the balcony itself as no one knows you are in my room. I have locked the room from outside, so no one will enter the room.

Take care

Maan did as instructed now realizing that he is having a hangover, but still not getting the whole thing. Nonetheless, not wanting to embarras geet in any way, he quietly left from the balcony without getting into anyone's eyes.

He had a soothing cool bath calming his senses and as soon as his mind relaxed a bit all the night events rushed into his mind one after another. Everything from the afternoon incident which angered him and later his incessant drinking and finally landing up in geet's room.

Rubbing his face with his hands, he sighed as he remembered his conversation with geet last night...their kiss...his promise...every damn thing was circulating in his mind like a film. He closed his eyes keeping his hands on the wall...letting the cold water pour down his mascular body...and then suddenly something strike him and his eyes flew open the very next instant...!!

He closed the shower tap and immediately wiped his body with a dry towel and came out...all the way pondering over his realization. He got ready in jet speed and looked his reflection in the mirror. His eyes shining with determination and jaws clentched...

Maan singh khurana never backs away from his promise and now its time to fulfill one...he thought fixing his tie and strode out of his room with his mobile and car keys...!!

Adi, what happened...??...where are the proofs...??...geet asked looking at a disoriented looking adi and a worried sam. Geet and vicky along with meera came to adi's house where sam was already present only to find it completely disoriented as if some tornado had passed through it.

Adi, geet is asking something...vicky urged him to speak getting impatient.

It has been stolen guys...adi finally answered in a very meek and sad voice.

WHAT...??...came the horrified voice of the three as sam already knew about it.

Someone robbed my house last night and got away with all the proofs. They were five of them and before I could raise an alarm they tied me here and left with the proofs...adi explained what happened last night and geet knew she had done the biggest mistake by underestimating alisha and blurting out about the proofs.

Damn...!!...its all my fault, I shouldn't have alerted that alisha...she was utterly depressed...what will we do now...??...maan...she suddenly become a bit hysterical...aaj engagement hai...aur proofs bhi gaye...how will I stop this damn ceremony now...??...she was totally frustrated.

All looked at her helplessly not knowing what to say, when all of a sudden geet's face turned red with anger...I'll not let that witch destroy my maan any further...saying so she marched out and others ran behind her to stop her before she did something foolish. But geet already left towards KC knowing alisha wouldbe there as it was her half day due to the engagement. They all got in their respective cars and rushed towards KC as well.

Alisha was busy talking on her cell in her cabin when geet barged in and tuned her around clutching her arm...

Aah...what the hell...alisha groaned in pain due to the strong hold, but when she saw geet with the desired expression, she calmed down...oh its you...!!

She smirked nastily and continued...I guess you have started to feel as KC's owner now a days...barging in without anyone's permission whenever you want...she came closer and her smirk turned into a serious threatening expression mixed with the glint of her evilness...but I'll make sure you are not anywhere around KC after my marraige to maan...!!

With that said alisha jerked her hand out of geet's hold. She was about to turn back to her phone when geet spoke...I won't let you succeed...!!

Alisha turned towards her again surprised at her tone,but when she saw her eyes, it had something in it which was scaringly cold and weird,but she kept her calm...Rassi jal gayi par bal nahi gaya...alisha mocked...seriously geet, I snatched away all your proofs in less than 24 hours and still you feel that you can defeat me. You need a reality check girl...!!

Before geet could utter anything anymore, adi rushed inside the cabin and grabbed geet's hands bringing her out muttering a low excuse us and alisha was totally pleased seeing her plan succeeding.

As adi took her out and marched towards her cabin, they passed sneha who was standing just behind the door of alisha's cabin, but none noticed.

They reached the cabin and vicky, meera and sam were already waiting for them there. They rushed to geet who slumped down on the chair infront of her...

Geet, please control yourself...we will do something...sam said not liking the way her lil sister was giving up.

Yes doll, we still have time and I am sure...

Kuch nahi hoga vicky...sab galat ho raha hai...she shouted not able to control anymore...every damn thing is going against us...she was crying bitterly...there's nothing we can do...no one can help me now...!!

Uh, I guess I can...all heads turned towards the door hearing the soft voice amidst geet's painfull cries to find none other than sneha. She slowly entered and closed the door.

But sneha, how are you going to help...??...you don't even know the whole thing...vicky asked not able to hold back his curiosity.

Well, I know everything actually...she stated a bit hesitatingly. Geet immediately went to her...sneha, what are you saying...??

Seeing geet's state sneha was really worried...this girl loved her boss beyond any limits and she herself has seen many proofs of it. Sneha kept an assuring hand on her shoulder and calmly explained everything, while others looked shocked and most of all vicky had this awe expression on his face for his lady love.

It was almost evening. Alisha along with her family came to KM as he function was held here. Naina and raj welcomed them though they were not very happy with all this. But maan was no where to be seen. But alisha was way too much happy to notice anyhting missing. Her long desired dream was going to become reality in sometime and it was totally reflecting from her face.

Not much guest were present coz khurana's wanted it to be a private affair after the first engagement broke and the news was still not out. So just close family and friends were there. No media to create any drama.

After about half an hour it was time for the ceremony to take place, but maan was still not anywhere around. When Mr. Joshi asked about it, raj asked naina to look for maan. She immediately called nakul asked...

Nakul, where is maan...??

Maan baba has just arrived sometime back and went to his room...he answered and got back to his work.

Naina thought to go herself and ask maan to come down, when her gaze fell on the stairs and a gasp escaped her mouth...!!

It was already past seven and geet knew the ceremony would have started by now...

What the hell are you doing...??...when vicky looked at her confused at her sudden question she blasted...ARE YOU PLANNING TO REACH AFTER HIS ENGAGEMENT TO EAT SNACKS...??...DRIVE FAST YOU MORON...!!

And vicky knew better than to answer back. He changed the gear and pressed the accelerator of his SUV so hard that the people at the back including adi, sam, sneha and meera fell behind.

They reached KM and geet rushed out with others without even bothering about parking.

Vicky, take the back door and set the things...he nodded and was about to move when geet held his hand...plzz make sure there is no mistake this time...I don't want to lose him...!!

Vicky hugged her tightly assuring her and said...don't worry doll, bhai was is and always will be yours...!!

Geet smiled and vicky rushed to the back door. So geet and other moved inside the mansion with firm determination to crush alisha's evil plans before it get too late.

Geet saw alisha standing there in her engagement gown. She was so enraged that nothing else came in her view. She was totally oblivious to her surrounding to such an extent that she didn't even noticed maan and her own parents standing infront of alisha at a distance.

Alisha looked agitated about something, but geet could care less. Only one thing was hovering over geet's mind and that was to stop the damn ceremony and get back her maan from the clutches of this chudail. She marched towards her and came right in between alisha and maan.

Geet came infront of alisha with the same look in her eyes, which alisha saw in her cabin today morning. But just like before she couldn't understand the look and just stared back angrily. Geet saw her standing right infront of her and tilted her head slightly in a dangerous way whispering right into her ears...

You have just 10 seconds to leave KM...!!

Alisha frowned not understanding a thing geet said and her previous anger was already devouring her logic and reasoning. So, without thinking of the consequences she hissed back angrily...Don't get on my nerves now, geet...!!

But before anyone could say anything else the light went off...

There was a huge white screen on the wall just below the stairs which none noticed when it appeared and suddenly a video started projecting on it. And to the utter horror of alisha it was the footage of her confrontation of geet yesterday in her office, where she had confessed everything on her own. Everyone stared on the screen stunned with what it showed and were filled with contempt towards alisha for stooping so low. None spoke a words and alisha's confession about her evil planning echoed in the huge hall of KM. Mr. Joshi himself was feeling ashamed of her daughter for doing such a henious deed.

As the light came back, it brought back light in many lives and filled some with darkness and fear and alisha belonged to the latter group. She knew now, why geet asked her to escape...though not fully getting her meaning...she thought to escape now...but alas...!!...she was too late coz the moment she turned towards the door, geet came right infront of her blocking her way...

Your time is up...she gave a sweet smile completely contradicting her eyes, which had a murderous rage...yes that was what she was carrying from a long time in her eyes. The next second the smile was gone and geet pounced on her like a hungry predator on its prey. As geet was in her jeans and top it was easier for her to give her best shots. She slapped her once...twice...thrice...muttering curses which left everyone astonished, but not maan. He stood there watchng his angel beating the crap out of the witch...!!

You chudail...how dare you brought somuch miseries into our lives...saying so geet pushed her on the floor. Alisha was already in a bad state, but sweet geet was right now overpowered by the terror GEET HANDA which used send scares down everyone spine in school days...the ultimate fighter...

You selfish cow, how dare you humiliated my maan and my both families through your trecherous games...and another slap landed on alisha's already red cheeks.

The khuranas and handas were dumbfounded at their daughter's new avatar. They had seen her voilent sometimes, but it was always with maan or somethign much trivial, but this was totally different. Little did they know geet was always this aggressive and this time it was thousand time magnified coz it involved her maan.

Jia and dev were also present in the hall and they came to the group sharing there own information. All were shocked to the new piece of info, but none had the guts to go and sya it to geet as right now she looked terribly dangerous.

She gripped alisha's stylishly combed hair into her fist and dragged her towards the food stall...oh poor you...geet made a pityful face looking at alisha's bruised one and said...you seemed to have become quite pale...why don't you eat something...??...after all it is your engagement party...saying so she pushed her face into the big cake kept for the occasion and alsiha's whole face turned into a plate full of whipped cream. Several gasp were heard from the audience but no one came for alisha's rescue. Infact maaneet's friends were having a gala time watching geet in action...!!

But sneha was totally new to this side of geet so she looked at vicky who had already joined the group and said...why don't you stop geet...??...I think its enough now for alisha...she was starting to feel some pity for the girl getting ruthlessly thrased by geet inspite of her sin.

Vicky gave her an incredulous look and blurted...you don't like my face, don't you...??

Huh...??...sneha gave him a confused expression.

Aur nahi toh kya...??...look at my face its so charming...he self praised himself...how can you even ask me to put my lovely face into such risk...??...he gave sneha an accusing look totally baffaling her.

Vicky, have gone mad...??...she asked after a second of pausing...what the hell are you speaking...!!

So, what do you want me to say...??...I love myself enough to get infront of geet now and get smashed and that too for that witch. Infact I would say just sit back and enjoy the show. Its not everyday you get to see geet handa in action...woh bhi literally...saying he winked at sneha and turned his attention to the ' show'.

Jia too thought geet was going over the board and voiced her concern...

I think sneha is right, we should stop her...!!

You know its better to stay here if you don't wish to look exactly like alisha...this time dev said with an amusing smile.

Dev is right jia, geet is very angry right now and she won't listen to any of us even if we try...meera corroborated dev's statement.

But somebody has to stop her...sneha again said not looking in geet's direction.

Yeah, and there is only one person there capable of that right now...he signalled sneha to look at the direction and then saw maan moving closer to geet.

Maan all the while was looking intently at geet without removing his gaze for a single second. All he could hear was how she was mad at his name being tarnished and him being humiliated. After seeing geet beating alisha to her satisfaction, though she had still not stopped, maan moved towards her and gripped her hand which was going to punch alisha once again.

As a reflex action geet'sfree hand cme up to hit the person hindering her most important work, but halted just near his face when she saw maan.. He looked straight into her eyes and whispered only three words...its enough now...!!

Before geet could do or say anything, he lifted her in the caveman style ignoring the punches geet's tiny fist was bombarding on his shoulders and back and took her out of the hall.

She was all the way thrasing her arms asking to let go, but maan heard none and carried her to his car. He placed her inside and soon drove off into the dark night...!!

okay, now I am so damn nervous about this one...really I had so many thoughts and ideas for this part and right now I don't know whether I have done justice to it or not. As u might have noticed there are certain loops opened so its not finished yet...many revelations r yet to come and majorly from maan's side...😉...so keep reading n I'll try to keep u all happy with my updates😊
