Part 2

I sat down quietly, scared to speak. Maan was glaring at Annie who was terrified. "What are you doing here talking to a stranger", he growled. I was hurt ' I had become a stranger in one day. Vikram's voice rang into my mind, he had said "you dare to backfire...now, watch how he'll torture you...you'll plead that you never dared to play games behind my back..." I hate you Vikram...I hate you...but that was not important now.

"You better concentrate in your studies, Anvesha" Maan said angrily. "And you Dadimaa don't you have any other work than coming to listen to lies or the pleads of this woman". I felt tears slipping my cheeks. "I was only asking about her health" Dadimaa said firmly. She was not afraid of his grandson. "Fine, Geet, I'll come later" she said and shoved Annie out of the room.

I moved to get myself a drink ' rather you'd say running away from his anger. "Where are you going" he snapped. "I am thirsty" I said lowering my eyes and whispering. He walked and got me a glass of water. I drank silently looking in his eyes. He was angry but that did not affect me. "Look" he said seriously "I want the baby to be alright...understood". I nodded unable to say anything...

I nodded and sat on the bed looking at him. He stared at me and turned his back. "Do you want to sleep, its late?" he asked. "Yes, I would like to do so" I mumbled.

Vikram grinned evily. "I told you so" he growled. His cold hands reached my throat and squeezed it tightly. I screamed "Maaan!" but no sound was coming from my voice box. I struggled, I was being strangled. He was killing me, baby, no Maan's dream...please Babaji...

"Arrrkhhh" I yelled sitting abruptly on the bed. Maan who was sleeping quickly woke up. He saw me; sweating badly. "Are you okay?" he asked. I could not nod, I was far too scared. "A bad dream?" he questioned and I could only give a slight nod. I held his hand tightly; I closed my eyes and rested my head against his shoulder. I did not even wait for his response. I figured that he would let me do so.

How I wish Geet I never met you? Are you even aware of the pain you're causing me every day...How could I trust you? How! This makes me so angry that I feel like hurting myself, punishing myself instead of Geet. I wish I had never told you about my feelings...that now you consider as my weaknesses.

I only have one motive ' that is my baby...my child...my blood...

But one thing is sure ' I still love Geet no matter what ' I can't hurt her...that's my real weakness. And I am sure she knows about it. She's acting really innocent. I mean she was crying and pleading to Dadimaa and Dadimaa seemed to be in a shock and Annie was holding herself tightly. I knew she was playing with Dadimaa as she did with me but I was not letting this happen!

I heard a scream and found Geet, shivering and shaking with fear. I was sure she had an awful nightmare as she was sweating. She rested her head on my shoulder. I did not grudge. She needed rest; the doctor said that she was taking too much of stress ' ha, sure, because I came to know her true nature.

Few minutes later, I heard her breathing deeply, she had already fallen asleep! She cuddled on my arm like a small child and pushed herself for a proper position. I grimaced and saw that I was sort of handcuffed.

I closed my eyes and all I could see was Geet smiling at me. I shook my head but the image was clear ' Geet. I opened my eyes and saw her snoring slightly. I giggled. I took my cell-phone and recorded her snores!

Start of Flashback

Maan complained to his grandmother. "I wonder why you're making me do this" he grumbled. "I wonder why I need to go for vacations with Ms. Geet" he snapped. "Because she is your fiancee" Dadimaa replied. "Oh?" I answered. Anvesha cracked up "bhai, do you even know when you got engaged?" she questioned. Maan bit his lips. He thought "yeah, I know 10^th June but I am not going to tell you that". "Vaise bhi, mein aur Shaivie are going to the same place along with you guys" Annie giggled. I groaned "dadimaa if you had not given me your oath I would not have done this stupid thing ' what's the use of being Maan Singh Khurana" Maan complained.

Geet arrived at sharp 5. They were leaving at 5.30. Geet smiled and hugged Annie.

"Vickram hasn't even called me in the whole day" she complained thinking. Geet went to hug Dadimaa while Maan rolled his eyes.

Geet came and stood next to Maan and mumbled: hey babaji, now I am stuck with this Dusht Danav for a whole week.

Maan glared at her and she quickly shut up.

Maan said "dadimaa, I think we'll leave now".

Annie and her friend took their seats at the back while Maan decided to drive. Annie had this brilliant idea to see the romantic side of her brother, so she piled a lot of luggage on the seats and told Geet to sit in the front seat.

Geet glanced nervously at Maan while he growled "do you want me to take you on a red carpet or what?"

Geet quickly opened the door and sat. Maan sped to the airport, they had arranged for a driver to take the car back.
