Yeah! The song hit me at a get together yesterday and I was taken to it pretty suddenly.

Of course...An Addict for at least one glimpse of her in a day.

I had it all wrong... he was not jealous after all... he could sense brotherly love from Yash.

I absolutely love this clarification on what he was feeling. And his drinking during the day in front of daadima brought back a very funny memory of my brother's experience with my badi maa 😆.

U know, a few days ago we were having this discussion on whether Geet should feel guilty about what she feels for Maan... I think this part more than answers that question. From Maan's portrayal of emotions, it is clear that he understands Geet to such a great extent because he has started to give her that importance. He knows exactly what she wants, or wants to hear etc because she is all he can think about...

Although Geet is also affected by Maan, it is not in the same way that she affects him. She knows he is important to her somehow, but she has not been able to answer how. Either she is so preoccupied in solving this dilemma, or she genuinely does not have an answer to that question, but in any case, she does not know or read Maan's actions as well as he is doing hers...

So, as of now, it is one-sided. do I make sense? 😃

PS - I went back and looked at the Index before I started reading this part because I had forgotten that u had already named a chapter pensieve and was wondering why this was Pensieve II

Maan enchanted by her beauty, her actions...
Now we get it, it was not the jealousy for which
He left the party but his own attraction towards her
N that he is not going to accept soon. N the way she thot
Abt him.
He cudnt come in terms as to why she behaves Like this
Wid him.
Maan thots were intresting... Loved this chapter to the core..

still, unseeing, an emptiness that hadn't been there days ago encroaching inside him. There was a part of him that was a surprising contrast to all that he'd becomeAmazingly introspective update. If you don't mind me pointing a few things outs, then I want a post some words from the update here...

1) he was already an addict. - Usually has a negative connotation unlike, obsession.

2) she preferred to keep him at bay by calling them apartment mates. He didn't think he wanted it any other way

3) his curious interest in their friend

4) That he had in vain tried to ascertain the motives behind any of her actions until that day - a true enigma she was, if he ever be asked.

5) that at most times he was left wondering what effect he had on her, that is if he did have an effect to begin with.

6) it confused him what it was about her that made him give her an air of importance to all that she was.

Maan takes notice of her excessively, but he is not perceptive as to what her actions imply. He is more like a child who has learnt to recognize the alphabets but cannot fully understand how to read let alone discern the story that the stringed words tell.

I was very careful when writing the part Geet takes a pie tart and moves to the end of the gym sit-out. In her POV, she does so consciously because she is aware that his eyes are on her. But here Maan reads of no such thing in that removal. He merely follows her to have a chat, more mindlessly than anything.

I feel Maan and Geet are at par on how they term this 'curious interest'. They certainly read more than they understand.

Trust me, if they fully know the extent to which this malady has spread in them, they are taking off in the next flight there is ;)

the J factor came into being coz he misses the same warmth she shares with them...that they share with each other...

confession time...in this NY Times...I cant imagine GC as Maan nor DD as Geet......I am just not able to to...

For me Maan is..

N geet I dont know y...but I am currently seeing Diana in this role...😳
