I knew this kind of controversy may arise.

But neither actors of the show nor the PH have ever said it is based on them. Even DD was very clear in her SBB, SBS interviews it was not based on them. Just the name is similar.

It was always media which was speculating it. Maybe it is based on them and the story might be similar. But it won't be that similar because it is based on the current time. And PH and Channel can always argue that it is not based on Madhubala and Dhilip. THough DD's name is Madhubala Vivian's name is not Dhilip. The girl was born in 1991. THey will put on scenes which will be very different from their real story.

From the last promo it seems to me she has been forced into the industry, EvenMadhubala was forced to work I think to look after her family and she was the onlyone who earns in the family. Maybe that might be the reason her sister was upset thinking this show might make Madhubala's family look bad.

I just hope this will not effect the show.

I think such rumors r good 4 getting TRPs & keeping in hype 😆

and Madhubala's sister also dnt wanna go 4 any legal procedures... she just wanna meet wid d ch people & d producers... may be she has some quries abt d show & MADHUBALA's role like we fans... so shw wanna clear it b4 d show starts... it does nt mean d show commence date will postpone 😕 and till now not a single promo or news abt d show has cleared d suspense dat d show is actually wht abt... so there is no issue of such alligations 😳 d producer himself & DD thousands time cleared it dat d show is nothing abt rela MADHUBALA... just they took d name of d legendary actress... d background of d story is also started 4m 1991 and focus on may be 18 or 20 yrs later story dat means year 2011 😛 so dont worry abt evry news dat comes out abt d show... no newspaper or news site till now has mentioned something abt dis type of news... this is d 1st one... so why 2 give attention 2 evry news dearies??? 😉

just chill... n wait for 28 MAY to come fast... coz I m facing a big time 2 wait 4 d show now 😃

it may make people more curious and make them watch the show no matter what the publicity is at the moment everyone will now want to watch to see if rumours are true or not!

either way it will be good as it will help the show with a great start in Trps 😉

Here are the latest updates on your TV celebs who will be seen on different shows across different channels. A quick look:

Nishi Singh Bhadli in Zee's Hitler Didi- With Nishi's entry on 'Hitler Didi', viewers can expect some humour and light hearted moments and she plays a kleptomaniac and drunkard called Maina. Maina also happens to be Sunaina's mother in the serial and will spice up the upcoming episodes by playing a nosey poker who's interested in instigating fights.
Shweta Chaudhary, Dimple Shah and Muni Jha in SAB's Bhai Bhaiya Aur Brother- Deven Bhojwani and Vipul Shah are coming up with a new serial on Sab TV 'Bhai Bhaiya Aur Brother'. Sooraj Thapar, Vrajesh Hirjee and Chirag Vohra play the main leads/three brothers on the show. More names have been added to the star cast including Shweta Chaudhary, Dimple Shah and Muni Jha. Dimple will be seen as Sooraj's wife and Shweta Choudhary as Juhi will play Chirag Vohra's wife on the show. Sources reveal that Muni Jha will essay the father's role.

Aashka Goradia in Shubh Vivah-In a bid to boost TRPs and stop the show from going off air, the makers of 'Shubh Vivah' are sparing no efforts. Sources reveal that Aashka Goradia aka Sarla aka vamp will make a comeback to the serial. Her character is that of a seductress who has her eyes set on Amrit (Eijaz Khan) in spite of the two being married to different partners. Just when Amrit is turning a shade positive, will Sarla ruin his efforts in his bid to woo his wife Saroj?
Ashok Saraf in Sab TV's upcoming show- Marathi/Hindi TV and film actor Ashok Sarafneeds no introduction. The much loved father of 'Hum Paanch' fame became a household name with the show's success. Incidentally, Vidya Balan played one of his daughters in 'Hum Paanch'. It is learnt that Saraf will be a part of Milind Dabke's upcoming show on Sab TV for which actors Pallavi Pradhan and Sharad Vyas have already been roped in. Sources confirm that Saraf is making his comeback to TV after a long hiatus because he was busy shooting for films and chose to be choosy with his TV comeback because daily soaps were too time consuming. He further added that Dabke's concept was interesting and hence he took up the project.
Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena in Colors Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon- Colors latest offering is said to be based on K. Asif's blockbuster hit 'Mughal-e-Azam'. Drashti Dham of 'Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi' fame and Vivian Dsena from 'Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani' will play the lead characters in the serial. The show goes on air on 28th May.

TV show on Madhubala, Dilip Kumar lands in trouble

The much-hyped TV show on the real and reel romance between Madhubala and Dilip Kumar, "Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon", has met with not one but two objections, and from completely different quarters.

On one hand, Madhubala's younger sisterZahida has objected to the seriel, citing that she or anybody else from the late actresses' family was not approached and their permission sought before the channel went ahead with this story.

Sources say that Zahida made many attempts to contact the channel and the production house, but to no avail, following which, she has sent a legal notice to the channel.

And this is just a part of the flak that Colors' is facing. "Madhubala..." was to replace "Veer Shivaji" that is coming to an end quite abruptly. "VS" going off-air has not gone down well with a political outfit Sambhaji Brigade, in Maharashtra. The organization is named after Sambhaji, son of Shivaji. In fact, the activists have gone so far as to threaten to disrupt the shooting of the serial and damage the sets if "VS" shuts down.

Sources from the production house say that the channel has been getting threatening calls from the activists for almost a week now.
