SHORT SCENE...ONE NIGHT! last part # 8 pge 35

The cold afternoon, furnace was at sleep due to energy saving settings for the week. Of course it didn't know I was home sick and needed warmth. I tried to snuggled deep in the warmth of my comforter; all in vain sleep was way too far from the eyes that begged to come and lull me to sleep. Annoyed with the stubbornness of sleep I threw the comforter aside and got out of the bed tried to occupied in some odd chores the mind was unsettle. I had promised that I'll stay away from the internet today; do you think we can avoid the Internet that continues its explosive growing into humankind's living global nervous system? Naa!

After mindless exploring on IF, I clicked on my B'mark and my desperate wandering eyes settled on one of my favorite any guess? Anyone? c'cmon. Aah my YouTube link that gives me one and only my favorite scenes of my everlasting show and couple Maan and Geet. Ever since the show has wrapped up I had made up the routine to end my day with my favorites and watch one of my favorite episodes of course the happy ones and meaningful ones before the wedding.

Yes yes coming to the point now, so here I opened the link and started to search which ones to watch. I settled on the one where Maan breaks the ice out of defeat that he thought it was better to give Geet much needed freedom. You guys remember that right? I hope so or else I would suggest go down the memory lanes. I watched until they end up on the terrace and Geet asking for forgiveness.

Content with the fresh mood I got up and started to do some chores, as I was going through my work my mind was on its own task brewing some scenes of my imagination. I finished whatever I had in my hands and got to my mini laptop turn on the music and opened my Word and started to type and here I'm presenting a short episode that my brain brewed to share with my friends. So enjoy and drop some lines here and there if you like.

This is a surprise for my girl friends who has worked hard for their studies day and night. You know who you all are. You are very close to my heart.

He dashed out after ordering Geet to show up at Khurana constructions with the rest of the Asian paints clan Geet still standing in the middle of crushed ice that was shattered brutally by The Maan Singh Khurana.

Geet thought he was still angry with her as she has slapped him the night before. But he was again too haste to make the decision of his own, she challenged him stating that she won't let him off her life that easily and declared that he was coward and leaving the ground of battles without a fair fight.

In that accusation he announced that he will prove that he is not a coward and will take her and the rest of the Asian paints employees in his company and to be at work on time and said his last sentence, "Without his help she won't win either."

She wiped the lone tear and smiled with shaky lips; she turned towards his retrieving back and said it aloud, "Knowing unknowing you taught me how to live without your help as well."

Next morning as on time Geet reached with the rest of the employees at Khurana Constructions. Geet had a tiff with dimwit of Sasha, but Maan comes and orders everyone to get back to work.

He instructs the new employees their jobs and asks Geet to work in the archives all day. Despite the fact the work he gave to her was irrelevant but it was necessary for his own sake. H

e knows he can't stand unaffected around her, to keep her on a safe distance he purposely sends her to the archives. Geet protested against his order, but instead she accepted the challenge.

She walked past him with her straight back without further words, he sadden with his decision but that was the best for his and her own good.

He returned to his cabin and tried to busy himself in his work, it was totally unfocused. He knew her presence is in the building far somewhere in the corner away from him yet her aura was lingering around him. It's impossible to avoid the strong pull towards her, she was in his veins.

Geet opened the closed doors of Archives; she twitched her nose with the stale smell of the old files and paper mixed with dust and the dampness.

She tried to settle herself in the dim room; she looked for any source to bring the freshness in the room. No connection to AC and no sign of any fan. She looked for the window, but it was hidden behind the shelf.

She muttered in angst, "Which idiot has done that, how a human can even breathe in here." She saw there was a vent but the height to reach was beyond Geet, sulking.

Geet wrapped her dupatta sideways and started her task it was strict orders to be done by end of the day. She arranged a table for herself to work on.

Geet glanced at the shelves there were thousands of files, she sulked again with worry how she will manage to do this with in one day. "Geet you have no choice, you better start somewhere.

Hours passed, and all of a sudden the phone buzzed a loud ring she was startled with the sudden loud noise in the silent room. She rushed to the phone in the mids of calming herself. Her breaths were shallow due to sudden jump.

Taking another calming breath she answered the phone, "Hello?" She paused for the answer; she tried one more time, "Helloo?" a bit louder this time, she decided to slam the phone down thinking whoever is disturbing her for no reason, as she was about to it dawn on her, this time the voice was gentle to the knowing who was on the other side, "Hello?" She heard the click of disconnection of the line.
