His eyes closed on their own accord, giving in to the feelings he was experiencing. Slowly his hands started moving up, to wrap her in his arms. He did not know where all his rationality, all his resolves had gone. Just when he was about to hug her

Suddenly somewhere in the hotel lobby started playing the song,

"Dekha Jo Tujhe yaar, dil me baaji guitar..

tan taana tan taana tan taana tana tana'

Dekha jo tujhe yaar, dil me baji guitar..

Chalka aakhon se pyaar, dil me baji guitar..

Chaa raha kaisa yeh nasha re, choo liya maine aasman re..

Aare re re main to gaya re, dil bhi gaya re.." (Sorry guys, but couldn't let such an opportunity pass so easily 😉 😆)

Geet suddenly came to her senses and jerked herself off from Maan. Maan was too lost to react immediately. His eyes flew open at Geet's sudden movement, but his hands were still there in the mid air. Geet clutched her dupatta in one of her hands and brought it infront of her mouth, which was already open in a big 'O' shape.

"Hoo... Babaji, yeh main kya kar rhi thi. Inse aise gaale.. aur intone to kuch theek se pehan bhi nhi..." she realized that he was in his vest only and immediately turned her back towards him and started knotting her dupatta.

Seeing her turn, Maan came back to his senses. He finally brought his hands down, and looked away. "Yeh mujhe kya ho gaya tha. Main kaise aapne hosh kho baitha. Yeh kya ho jata hai mujhe Geet ke paas aate hi. Kyun main khud pe kabu nhi kar pata. Par yeh Geet. Itni raat gaye, aur yeh yahan, aise. Aura ate hi mujhse gale lag gayi" his temper began to rise. He was angry at Geet, he turned to look at her with his anger filled eyes. Geet still had her back towards him.

"Tum itni raat ko yahan kya kar rhi ho" Maan asked, grinding his teeth.

But instead of answering, she just pointed her finger at something. Maan couldn't get it what she was trying to say.

"Geeet'main tumse kuch pooch rha hun..kyun aayi ho yahan tum..." this time his voice was several notches higher and anger could be easily felt effusing out of his body. He took a dangerous step towards Geet.

"Sss...shirt..." Geet was finally able to splutter out of her mouth.

"Kya????"

"Aapki shirt sir.."

It was then that Maan realized that he was still in his vest. He immediately went and grabbed his shirt. Finally Geet also turned to face him.

Once Maan finished wearing his shirt, he looked up to find Geet already staring at him. His anger peaked again.

"Aab tumahare bolne ke liye bhi koi maurahat nikalna padega.. speak up.. kyun aayi ho yahna itni raat ko?" Maan roared at her.

"Sir main kidnap ho gayi" Geet blurted without thinking.

"KYA??"

"Nahi nahi...woh mera matlab hai.. ki sir.. woh kya hai.. kuch log mujhe kidnap karne ke liye mere room pe aaye the sir. Bade khatarnak lag rhe the aapne aawaz se hi. Mujhe to kuch samajh hi nhi aa rha tha ki main kya karun. Woh na jaane mujhe kahan le jaane wale the. Aur phir.. nahi nhi. Main to isiliyia vahan se bhag aayi, isse phale ki woh log mujhe kidnap kar sakein" Geet went on blabbering.

"GEEET.. baas..ek min.. chup ho jao" Maan stop her non stop commentary. He tried to calm her. "Yeh sab tum kya bol rhi ho. Tumhe koi kyun kidnap karne aayega. Aisa kuch nhi hai jaisa tum soch rhi ho. Tum thak gayi ho issliyia soo gayi hogi, aur koi saapna dekha hoga. Tum jaao aapne kamare me aur soo jao. No one is coming to kidnap you" he grasped her hand lightly and tried to show her the way to the door, politely.

But Geet came out of his grasp "Nahi sir, main koi saapna vapna nhi dekh rhi thi. Main to naha rhi thi. Yeh dekhiyia, mere baal bhi aabhi tak geele hain" and she swung her hair at him, to brush off some water on his face.

"Geet, yeh kya kar rhi ho" he snapped.

"Sorry sir, main to baas aapko yakeen dilane ki koshish kar rhi thi ki main soo nhi rhi thi aur saach me mujhe kuch log kidnap karne wale the"

"Geet...tum..." he took a step towards her, but then calmed himself. "Isse aise nahi nibta ja sakta. Mujhe kuch aur sochna padega yahan se bhejne ke liye. Mujhe jald se jald isse mere room se bhejna hoga"

"Geet, please meri baat suno. Yeh hotel bhut safe hai, yahan se koi kidnap nhi ho sakta. Tum aapne kamare me jaao aur aaram se soo jao. Tumhe kuch nhi hoga. Koi tumhe kidnap nhi karega"

Suddenly there was a commotion in the hotel corridor. Somebody was saying "Bhaisabh, aap jaldi chaliyia, Radha ka kahi pata nhi chal pa rha hai. Abhi kuch deer pehale hi to aapne kamre me thi, main khud chod kar aaya tha. Par aab pata nhi kahan chali gayi hai. Maine pura hotel chaan mara, par woh nhi mil rhi hai. Mujhe to lagta hai usse pakka koi kidnap karke le gaya hai. Please aap mere sath jaldi chaliyia"

Maan and Geet were listening to this whole conversation. Geet's eyes popped out more with fear. Maan was also surprised and shocked. "Kahi Geet sach to nhi bol rhi thi?"

"Sir dekha na aapne, kaise woh ladki iss hotel se gayab ho gaya, main sach bol rhi thi. Yaahan pe to sach me kidnapper aaya tha. Woh to accha hua main yahan aapke paas aagayi, varna.. main bhi uss ladki ki tarah aaj kidnap ho jati. Thank you Babaji meri raksha karne ke liyia."

Maan was also stupefied for a second, but then he came to his senses. "Geet, shayad woh kidnapper uss ladki ko hi lene aaya tha, tumahe nhi. Aur jab usska kaam ho gaya hai, to aab tum befikar ho ke aapne kamre me jaa skti ho aab" Maan didn't want Geet to stay in his room at any cost.

But before Maan to again direct her out of his room, Geet suddenly dodged his approaching hand and ran and sat on his bed.

"Nahi sir, bilkul nhi, main yaahan se kahi nhi jaungi. Pata chala woh kidnapper uss ladki ke liyia nhi mere liye aaya tha, to, to phir kya hoga. Usse to jaise hi aapni galti pata chalegi, woh to phir aa jayega na mujhe lene. Naa baba na, main itna bada risk nhi le sakti. Main to aaj yahan se hilne bhi nhi wali hun. Mere room to aaj sheer ki gufa se kaam dangerous nhi hai" Geet said resolutely.

"Geet, yeh saab natak band karo, aur chup chap aapne kamare me jao, aur.."

But instead of listening to what Maan was saying, Geet put her hands on her ears to resist listening anything from Maan.

Maann stopped speaking, getting highly irritated. "Yeh ladki bhi na, sach me character hai. Kya karu main isska. Isse to pata bhi nhi hai, ki isske mere paas aane ka mujhpe kya aasar hota hai, aur yahan yeh puri raat mere kamre me akali. Aab main kya karu, kaise isse aapne se door rakhun" Maan thought. he got an idea.

"Geet, theek hai. Tum yahan ruk sakti ho. Ekk kaam karo, tum uss couch pe, aaram se soo jao" Couch was in such a position that the person sleeping on the couch will not be easily visible to the person sleeping on the bed.

"Kya, main couch pe?" Geet thought.

"Yeh Maan sir bhi na. Inme to koi courtesy naam ki cheez hi nhi hai. Itna bhi nhi ki mujhe bed pe soon eke liye offer karein aur khud couch pe soo jayein. Paar aisa ho bhi kaisa sakta hai, yeh to the great Maan Singh Khurana hain na. Yeh kaise kisi aur ke bare me soch sakte hain. Nahi, main bhi Geet Handa hun. Nahi maanungi inse haar" while Geet was thinking this in her mind, her facial expressions were changing according to her thoughts, and Maan could sense what she might be thinking.

"Geet, tumne suna nhi ki maine kya kaha, uttho aur jaao udhar"

"Nahi jaaongi.. "

Maan was a little astonished at her curt reply. "Geet, kya matlab nhi jaogi. Shayad tum bhool rhi ho, ki yeh mera room hai aur main tumahara boss hun, aur tumhe woh hi karna padega jo main bolunga, issliye abhi ki abhi yahan se utho"

"Sir, aagar aapki dooor ki drashti kamzoor na ho to zara nazar uthake ghadi me dekheyia, 11 baj rhe hain, office time is over, aur iss waqt main aapki employee nhi hun. Issliyia, main aapke orders follow karne wali nhi hun. Aur vaise bhi mujhe inn couch vouch pe neeind nhi aati. Mujhe to poore bed pe soone ki aadat hai. Issliyia main to bed pe hi sooungi. Kar lejiyia jo karna hai aapko" Both of them were staring in each other's eyes. Not even one ready to give up.

But then Maan realized that this was only worse the situation if he just kept on fighting with Geet. So he gave up. He grabbed the pillow lept near to Geet, scaring her a little, making her jump, and left to sleep on the couch. Geet was happy with her victory and grabbed the blanket, pulled it upto her neck and went to sleep with a smile on her face.

The problem with the couch was that the person sleeping on the couch was not visible to the person on the bed, but vise a versa was not true. He was getting a clear view of Geet's face from his position, a thing he was trying to avoid since long. Frustrated, he kept his hand over his face and tried to sleep, ignoring Geet's presence. But it was easier said than done.

Soon enough, he removed his hand from over his eyes. And there he saw her sleeping form in the otherwise dark room except for one light source. Geet's face was glowing in the light from the burning fireplace, with was directly falling on her face. It was as if the lamp's whole light was focusing on her face only.

She had a small smile on her lips and some of her hair was fanning on her face. It was a face of an angle. Her exquisite features, her milky skin, her rosy lips and above all her innocence, all these amalgamated to highlight the beauty of her face. The moment Maan's eyes rested on her bewitching face, he went into a state of trance. He automatically got up from the couch and started moving towards Geet's sleeping form. He reached near the bed and sat near her, to get a clearer view of her face. The strands of her hair were fanning her face and one of the strands seemed to be troubling her in her sleep. His hand automatically came up, near her face. He touched the troubling hair strand lightly and tucked it behind her ear. Since Geet was not yet in her deep sleep, the sudden contact woke her up. She snapped open her eyes and was shocked to see Maan standing so close to her, with his one hand near her ear. She got up in a sitting position, staring at Maan with shock.

Maan was already too lost in Geet to realize his actions. And when Geet opened her dark brown, puppy eyes, he still got more lost in her eyes. Now his whole palm was resting on Geet's cheek. Geet opened her mouth to protest, but he immediately placed his finger over her lips and signaled a 'no' by slightly moving his head. He placed his other palm also on her other cheek and cupped her face. Geet brought her hand to hold his hand on her cheek. Both were having an eye lock. Maan was all lost in her. On the other hand, Geet's eyes had confusion and a little reluctance, but a hint of submission also in them. Maan couldn't resist any longer and he raised his lips to plant a kiss over her forehead. When she felt Maan's lips on her forehead, she immediately grabbed Maan's collar and her hold on Maan's hand also got tighter, digging her nails in his hand. Her skin burned with the sensation. She closed her eyes tightly and started breathing deeply. Slowly Maan kissed both her eyes, then her nose and then his lips were starting to make their way towards her lips. His hot breath was falling on her face, playing a havoc on her senses. She was so trapped in the whole sensation going through her body, even the thought of resisting was not appearing in her mind. She was loosing herself to the sensations. He gave a small peck on the corners of her lips, before moving ahead to claim her full lips.

He suddenly found him slipping from the couch, but he steadied himself before fully falling. His eyes snapped open. He was still on the couch. He looked around to find himself in absolute darkness. Only a few sparks from the fireplace were visible. As his eyes adjusted to the dark, he could make out the silhouette of the sleeping form of Geet, but other than that, nothing of her face was visible to him, due to the lack of light. He gave a sigh of relief, that it was all a dream. "Maan, tu sapne me bhi aisa kaisa soch sakta hai. Get a grip on your thoughts. Uss ladki ko aapne dimag se nikal de, varna ekk din tu saach me pagal ho jayega. Sochna bhi nhi hai tujhe usske bare me. Just get over with this project and leave from here. Jitni jaldi yeh project presentation khatam hoga, utna hi jaldi main iss Geet se door ja sakunga. Once we get the contract, and the preliminary designes get finalized, I will no longer need this girl in my office. She will have to go away from my life" Maan thought and turned his back towards her and went into a restless sleep.
