Chapter 9

Rehaan:Mannat main tumko phone karu...Daddi Maa bhi apne best friends ko phone karti hai..u r my best friend(holding Maan's finger tightly he said )

Mannat: Okey tum humme hamare ghar phone karna okey (she gav approval)

Rehaan: Per mere paas to tumhara number nahi hai (he made pitty face)

Inder: Hum detay hai apko number (he pinched Rehaan on cheek )…Mr Khuraana u hav my number.

Maan: Ji I hav ur cell

Inder : Per main to ghar per hota nahi..So Rehaan ko ghar ka number deta hu.okey beta

He writes down number on his visiting card same did Maan Rehaan gav Mannat his number n Mannat gav hers

After spending few minutes in this convo .Both families took leave

Geet: Bahut time laga diya aapne .Kis se baat kar rahe thay Papa.

Before Inder could say.Mannat interrupted

Mannat: oho Momi Nanu hamare friend se aur uske Papa se mil rahe thay.

Geet: tum ne ..Mannat tum ne friend bana -ya..its really impossible.(she was surprised)

Mannat: kyo mommi Mannat friend nahi bana sakti..koi bhi Mannat k jaisa nahi ...Rehaan he is brave like ne n he has manners aur uske papa Nanu ko jante hai (she was bit angry why her mother said so )

Geet: Papa u know his father

Inder : Ha Geet..Mr Khuraana ki company hamare Ludhiana walle Resort per kaam kar rahi hai to mulaakat ho jaati hai in that case

Geet: oh Mannat ka friend Rehaan unka beta hai

Mannat: Ji Momi

Geet: How was ur first day.

Mannat: Its good mommi..My class teacher is good

Mannat told each n every thing happened at school in high spirits.Evn about Lunch scandal n her promise to Rehaan.

Inder: Geet yeh hamari Mannat Mr Khuraana ki bhi bolti baan kar aayi jinke aagay koi bhi bolne ki himmat nahi kar sakta (he teased )

Geet: Really

Mannat: Nanu its not fair.Humne to theek kaha..kitna tastless lunch tha Rehaan ka (she yells)

Geet: apne uske saat share kia apna Tiffin its good

Mannat: Aur humne jo promise kiya hai that I ll bring lunch for him too aap dogi na Mommi (she knew her mother ll response positively )

Geet: okey beta dungi

Mannat: thanx momi..aab Rehaan tasteless lunch nahi karrga uske paas momi nahi hai per hamari Mommi hai na.

Geet: Uske pass momi nahi aur mere paas.(she mumbles)

Mannat: u said some thing mommi

Geet:No I said I ll giv.

Inder: Per Mannat agar Rehaan lunch le kar aaya to

Mannat: to hum uska lunch snatch kar lengay fir uske Papa ko khaane ko dengay when he ll come to pick Rehaan ..k kitna tasteless aur yuck lunch detay hai (her eyes were full of anger)

Geet: Mannat challo aab bas karo ghar aa gaya

Rehaan he gav each n every detial to Maan.Mannat's talk with Rano was also not ending..when Inder took Geet to clinic. Making excuse to Mannat that he has pain in back so He wanna take Geet with him

Mannat a super intelligent child some where had realized that her mother was not okey.She had seen Geet in this condition many times.since she started to understand relations n emotions.

She wanted to discuss every thing with her mother.She wanted to ask her about her father.Rehaan made her realize..to think about that person called ' Father'..She listened Rano n Leela's convo about Geet's fit today.So she knew it ll giv only pain to her mother…Geet always became sad when ever Mannat or any other talked with her about Mannat's Papa.

Mannat doesn't know real reason why Geet becomes sad when ever some one ask about this matter. But she know this thing always gives pain to Geet.So she had decided not to ask any think.She went to her room with tear filled eyes
