He flipped some pages and he read:

Why does he do this? Why me? Every time? Why is he going to meet her? When I am here ' I know it's not right ' so does he? But why does he do it? Doesn't he care for his reputation! Or my reputation! But NO, he just go and meet her and come back home late; either from a stupid party'I wonder what do they do like this?

He felt bad when he knew what those words means. It looked like she was crying when she wrote this short paragraph. The ink was somewhat mixed with water ' probably from tears!

He came home late again. He was with HER! But what can I say? Nothing'all I have to do is to be a mute listener ' seeing him flirting with her.

He really felt bad. "Just see Maan, what you did" he said. Tears rolled down his cheeks without his realization.

Bzzz

His cell vibrated.

Dadimaa's name flashed on the screen.

"Hello Dadimaa" he said sadly.

"Maan beta, what happened?" Dadimaa asked concerned.

"Nothing" he fibbed.

"Maan, from when have you start lying to me?"

"It's n-nothing'"

"Maan" Dadimaa pressed.

"Dadimaa'she-she, she's back, Dadimaa"

"Who's back? Maan! Maan! Are you here?"

"Geet, Dadimaa, she's back'" he said slowly.

"Geet! Are you saying ' Geet! Where's she? Have you meet her? Have you talk to her! Maan beta, speak, Maan'please, you're making me sacred like this"

"Dadimaa'you know, I went to meet Duke Brij for the western Norwich project" Maan said silently.

"Yes, I know'but what does that have to do with Geet"

"Dadi...Dadimaa'Geet'Geet is the Duke's sister ' she-she is the Duchess'Dadimaa'she hates me badly" Maan cried.

"Look Maan, please don't cry'just talk to her, Geet is mature, she'll understand"

Maan didn't have the heart to tell her about Geet's daughter!

Dadimaa hung the phone down. Just then Anvesha entered the room; seeing Dadimaa upset; she questioned her.

"What happened Dadimaa'what did Bhai say?" Annie asked.

"G-Geet is back" she said in a small voice.

"W-what? She is? Bhai met her? Is she coming back" Annie said excited. "No" Dadimaa answered. "No?"

"Maan says she hates him"

"Oh? After what Bhai did, I guess she would never return to him" Anvesha acknowledged. "Annie! Stop talking inauspicious things ' you know how your Bhai was these years!"

Maan forgot about the diary when he received a SMS from Brij telling him about some points. After working for hours; he dozed off.

It was morning at Maan was called at Starlight by Brij.

"I hope I'll meet Geet, I have to talk to her" he thought walking inside the mansion.

His heart stopped when he saw Geet holding Sanaya's hand; climbing down the stairs carefully and slowly so that her daughter would catch her up.

She was looking as beautiful as ever in her white salwar kameez. Maan smiled at her then looked at the daughter ' she was still in her pajamas from last night.

Geet picked up her daughter and kissed her on her earlobe.

Maan stood shocked!

Sanaya responded by kissing her on the neck!

Maan was again shocked!

He used to kiss Geet on her neck and she would respond by kissing at his earlobe!

Part 4

Maan froze into a motionless being. Geet apparently hadn't notice Maan standing there!

But soon she did. Her smile turned into a frown.

"Geet we need to talk!"

"Mr. Khurana, what is there left to talk about?"

"Geet, don't say this and stop calling me Mr. KhuranaI am Maan your Maan"

"Why shan't I "she started when The Duke interrupted their conversation.

The Duke didn't look like he heard their conversations.

"Welcome Mr. Khurana" Duke told Maan. "Why don't you join us for breakfast?" Duke offered. "Oh, no, thank youI just" Maan tried to argue and looked at Geet with his begging eyes. Geet found it hard to resist those puppy eyes and torn her gaze away.

She made Sanaya sit on a chair and tied a napkin around her neck. Duke sat on the head chair while Geet took the right, and Nandini the left one. Nandini didn't even greet Maan nor look at him. "I wonder what's up with her"

Servants started to serve. Maan again gave Geet his puppy eyes. Geet knew in some seconds; she would surrender; againlike she did two years ago!

"Please Geet; just one time; just listen to me" Maan pleaded thinking.

"Morning' everyone" two voices chirped loudly.

Maan looked up and saw two replicas of each other; two twins; a boy and a girl; they were probably around fourteen. The girl and went to kiss her daddy the Duke. "Hey Buas", the boy cooed.

"Good Morning Mantra Mahaan" Nandini said.

Geet turned her attention to Sanaya. "Will you eat spaghetti?" she asked her one and a half year old daughter. Sanaya nodded to say no. "What is paketti" she asked innocently.

"You know" Mantra, the girl said very importantly "spaghetti is just noodles".

"What is oodle?" Sanaya asked again looking at Mantra then at her mother. Mahaan chuckled "go on sister explain" he snorted. Mantra gave Mahaan her death stares.

Maan looked at the innocent angel in front of him; who was asking baseless innocent question. Yet, she was very cute; just like Geet, he thought, right just like his Geet!

He wondered again how did this girl become his Geet's daughter! He hated the thought of Geet being with someone else and this Sanaya, was someone else's daughter together with Geet, his Geet!

Mahaan broke his thought. "You know baby, noodles are like snakeswhite snakes without any texture; just smooth". Sanaya looked up at Mahaan confused. "Ewww! How dare you to call noodles snakes" Nandini cried. Mahaan shrugged while Geet and Duke giggled.

"She giggled! Again! I was dying to hear it! Her musical laughter! Geet please return"

Sanaya tried to twirl the spaghetti around her fork and tried to eat by herself. But the spaghetti slipped and dripped around her mouth; forming a pool on her napkin. Geet smiled at her independent daughter and helped her to eat.

"DadI was thinking" Mahaan started when Mantra cut him off.

"You were actually thinking! You duffer" Mantra teased.

"Shut up stupid"

"You are super stupid"

"If I am super stupid then you're mega super stupid"

"Here we go again" Geet said burying her face with her palms. Maan looked at the twins surprised; it revived him some memories; some bitter ones.

Annie and Vicky would bicker like this until

"Untilhe left them and was busy with he didn't have the courage to even think of the next word! He had completely ignored his brother and sister! Luckily Geet was there for them but again, again" he sighed and looked at Geet.

"if I am super duper mega stupid then you're the ultimate stupid born on earth" Mantra cried.

"utt uptupid" Sanaya cried loud. Geet looked at her daughter surprised. Nandini and Duke chuckled. The twins looked amused. Maan looked sad; who was this girl? He then smiled; it was the first time he heard her voice her innocent voice ordering her cousin to keep quiet!

Geet knew Maan was dying to talk to her. So before everyone finished eating; she left the dining table along with her daughter. Maan was hurt but he deserved it!

After some long discussion with Duke; who now went to attend some calls; he wandered around the mansion; obviously looking for Geet

Sanaya came running and bumped against Maan. Maan at first thought it was just a small breeze but when he looked down he saw the little girl had fallen on the stairs. Innocently, she blinked at Maan. Maan figured he was hard as rock and the poor girl must have been hurt. He also noticed that she was carrying a Barbie doll with her tugged under her arm!

Maan helped Sanaya to stand and took her in her arms. Sanaya looked at Maan with so much of confusion. Then slowlyan incredible smile crept on her face. She laughed. Maan chuckled at the girl who minute ago was deep confused!

"Did you got hurt baby?"

Sanaya shook her head for a 'no'

"You are strongstrong like your mama, not like your papawho just loose at "

"Hell Maan, what are you teaching the kid you're NOT his father!" he thought and tried to find an appropriate answer!

"Just like your mother"

Sanaya nodded to say a 'yes'

Maan laughed and turned to his right and saw Geet standing there!
