Its a sad day that I have to write this knowing that My beloved Geet is coming to an end. It was with a heavy heart that I finally accepted the inevitable. This post is just to put into words my journey with maaneet. It so happened that a year ago in august 2010 my life had a great many changes.I had to move from my home to a new place, make new adjustments and have a complete sea change in my life. Was pretty miserable and down and did not what to do to feel better. Then one day I was going through utube and there suddenly my eyes fell on a clip from one of the office scenes from geet. Just for curiosity s sake decided to watch it. That clip changed my life forever. I fell in love so deeply with geet and maaneet that I just could not live without it
In just 3 days time I watched the entire episodes from start to finish without a break and when over went back and watched it again😊. I just could not believe that I missed such a marvelous story. It reached the state that when geet cried, I cried with her, when she laughed I smiled the day away. When maan was romantic I could not stop blushing. No man could compare with maan and no love story with Geet😳
Then the story began taking a downturn. But even then I could not stop loving gurti or maaneet. I would blame the PH( HAPPILY), get frustrated , get angry even, but maaneet still had a hold on me and my emotions. Story went worse, I would get frustrated and not watch for a few days. but like a true addict I could not stay away and went back and just get lost in their eyes.
By then the rumours started coming about the ending of geet, the co stars not wanting to perform together and so on, but none of that fazed me, or had any effect on the love that I feel for maaneet. It may sound crazy but even today I cannot go to bed without watching some scene of theirs or just seeing them.
Now that the day has come to say goodbye I do not know how I can do that. Because while Geet might be ending on screen for me it is still as alive, as real as it was a year back. No body can be as good as Gurti in sheer on screen chemistry and no pair could be as beloved as maaneet is to all of us. For me maaneet rocks and always will be around for me as its just a click of the mouse away.
For all of us Maaneet is the best cos as the song says- NOTHING COMPARES TO UðŸ˜.
I love u geet and maaneet and I am thankful to u for making such a difference to all our lives cos u have shown us thatMAGIC truly exists.So u will always be alive in our hearts today and forever
For all those of u who feel the same do try to put down in words what Geet is to u, I will miss all of u. Its just by reading all ur posts on IF that brought me into IF and brought so many good friends (thats what all of u are for me) into my life
