Hving said that I dont support those who r actually giving life threatening calls to channel or writing letters with blood ..thats insane and not worth it for a daily soap 👎🏼...but rest those who r trying it out in a more practical way ,I m fine with it ...

As you pointed out the success rate of such campaigns are poor. So while I have nothing against the people who are fighting for the show, I hope that they are also prepared to meet a dead end. It is interesting you mentioned KMH and CB because in these two shows the leads are real life couple too. Hence they too may have been keen to do the sequel. Another factor is that both were/are on the same channel as the earlier one. Now in this case it is a new revamped channel. More importantly thanks to some over enthusiastic fans who couldn't see the difference between the reel and the real couple, the present leads are edgy about even giving interviews together. Since they were on a contract for this show, they stayed on but it is, as you rightly said, a big question mark whether they will come together for a new show.

One big factor that SD will consider about the so-called huge fan base is that it is mostly composed of online fans. I dont know who they are targeting in the revamped channel. If they are factoring in this large online fan base, then maybe a revival is possible subject to the actors willingness to sign together. If they are only going by trps of actual T.V.viewers I doubt even the channel will experiment with the re-introduction, especially when such a re-introduction will cost more money. I don't see why else the actors will sign up unless they are given a hefty hike which they will find hard to refuse.

As I see it , this appears to be a smart strategy adopted by SO/SD to keep the fans guessing whether they will come up with a sequel or not. that way they can hold on to the existing viewers without much effort. At the end of the day we may well be the parrot which waited for the cotton pod to ripen, thinking it is a fruit ( a popular saying in Tamil). When the pod bursts, the cotton will just fly out, leaving the poor parrot hungry.

If stardesh comes up with geet season 2 then i am very much sure they will have good cvs,script writers,directors whole good team because it will be not like starone anymore it will be one of big channel in india

@Shreya:A PH's reputation depends on how well it can present its product to the viewers irrespective of whether it has a good story or not 😆...If u see Ekta shows ,they hv the same old formula stories but she presents them in a grand way with overall look and promotions ...so thats the difference ...

@Opti:The ones who r actually fighting and reaching the heads of star desh r not teen kids either to hv a moral breakdown in case they dont succeed...they know its a 50-50 game and end result can go either way ..in fact when I joined them to star one office there was one lady who herself worked in MTV channel for around 4 yrs and is 36 yr old ...there r many who r in thier 30s and r working women ...so we r talking about a set of matured audiences who r participating in this fight and not the teens who r giving death threats at present ..so basically even in this fight there r 2 grps ..one grp which is a bunch of teen girls r taking the fight in a emotional way while there is a huge grp consisting of women and men working in corporate houses who r talking straight business with channel ...

agree...that is what i mentioned yesterday after our bangalore group meet SO people...

Channel may be using fans like scapegoats ... Keeping their hopes up..and pretending to listen to fans...

even Actors coming together is sure questionmark...

but i guess fans who are fighting for the show are aware that it;s a 50-50 battle... we just want to make sure that as fans we dont give up easily on show and couple that we have adored...rest upto ramji
