Shreya, I have turned into doubting Thomas. For me seeing is believing. Many here had felt that Geet season 2 was out of the question because actors go their different ways after a show is over which is why they wanted the RC track. There was also a lot of scepticism about whether Gurti will sign up together. Now suddenly people are upbeat about both these things happening although I am not aware of anything that has drastically changed from then and now. In fact there was an interview with DD where she specifically said she would prefer to work with other actors. That is why I am not pinning any hopes. If I am proved wrong, I'll only be too happy. Lets see.

KMH sequel was a flop because of a poor script and poor promotion but Choti bahu sequel even though started off poorly but now is going up the trp charts and getting popularity ..so again its not like all sequels r flops ...it depends on story and promotion somewhere

Opti, as you said, que sera sera. For now, I'm happy to take a break, even if it turns out to be a season-break.

Shreya, you're absolutely right. Actors alone won't work the magic. They have to be shown portraying strong characters that grip the viewers. That's what Maan and Geet -- the characters -- had going for them. Else, the actors would still be compared unfavourably to their portrayal of Maan and Geet.

@Shreya:Yup those who r actually leading this whole fight of new season r not just insanely fighting for Gurti in star desh ...there is much more to this fight in terms of business as well starting from brands to a new PH along with endemol to script suggestions and lots more statistics r being taken into account ...in fact if a new season at all comes on star desh ,it wont b 4Lions ka baby this time as per whatever little hints we got ,,.,, because star and 4lions r NOT on good terms anymore
