Maan sat in the restaurant with Pari. He made funny faces at her making her laugh. He always enjoyed his time with Pari even though he barley has time to see her that often but whatever time he could spend with he he makes sure that she is happy and gets whatever she wants. He is a news reporter and part of his job requires him to travel...and talk to people.
Pari: Dad I don't like this food.
Maan: Enjoy while you can kiddo before your mom finds out that I let you eat burgers and fries for breakfast.
Pari: But (just then the phone rings...)
Maan: Hello...
"who is this?"
Maan (looks at the phone with confusion) who is this?
"I asked first"
Maan: Who are you? you are the one that called on my phone.
"This is my daughters phone...Geet Handa.."
Maan (looks at the phone and bangs on the table...) Shit...damn it..our phones must have been switched..umm my name is Maan Singh Khruana...my kid goes to the same school with her son.
"Wait you mean you are Maan Khruana..the reporter?" (She smiles while blowing on her finger nails)

Geet is running holding Ajay's hand while trying to balance her model with the other spare hand. She quickly gets into the taxi giving the address. She looks at Ajay who was sad...she puts her arm around him consoling him.
Geet; Its not your fault..sweety...
Ajay: Am sorry...

She quickly picks up the phone when she heard it ringing..as soon as she picked it up someone on the other end, a male, was yelling on the phone.
"You son of a gun..
Geet: Excuse me?
"come and see me when you can. You are in so much trouble...you have a major press conference at 5pm...come to my office right now to go over something" Geet roles her eyes and hangs up the phone. As soon as she hangs up the phone..her phone rings again
Geet: What? (she yells over the phone..)
Maan (looks at the phone..) umm this is Maan Singh Khruana

Maan (sighs) Pari's dad
Geet: ohh..how did you get this number?
Maan: Miss you have my phone...(Maan hails a cab for himself and Pari..both get in the cab)
Geet (looks at the phone...) Shoot..its all your fault...
Maan: Listen..lets just get down to business and forget the hostility we have toward each other for couple of minutes..shall we...(he gives the taxi driver the address)

Maan: your mom called...she is sorry that she is not able to baby sit Ajay and it is not because he dropped her ring in the toilet...

Geet: you have a press conference at 5..
Maan: Thanks...umm about our phones
Geet; you can pick them up tomorrow in front of the school. On time.

Geet: Fine..(Both hang up the phone)
Maan (looks at Pari.who was looking at him with confusion. He puts her on his lap) Listen..do me a favor..when you grow up...and you are incrediably beautiful and intelligent and possess a great sweetness..can you please not beat to a pulp every miserable bas***d who comes your way just because you can? Can you do that for me?
Pari: Sure Dad

Geet paced back and fourth while Ajay ran around. She was standing in front of a guy who could have the model fixed...she looked at the guy with nervousness and she awaited for him to talk. She wanted to kill him every time he said mmm hmm while looking at the model...
Geet: Yash is it doable?
Yash: hmmm I could have it replaced with a duplicate one. You are very lucky.
Geet (sighs in relief) ohh thank god...Ajay you cannot run around (she runs after Ajay who was now on top of a rolling cart going around the whole room. She finally was able to grab him..she holds his arms) listen be a good boy for today..please...I cannot mess up again. You hear me?
Ajay: Yes...am thristy
Geet (goes to her bag and takes out a juice box) here take this...now be a good boy
Ajay: I can't get the straw
Geet (grabs the juice) Yash you really are a life saver..you have no idea how much you helped me today (Ajay grabs the juice box as soon as Geet puts in the straw causing the juice to squirt on her shirt..) shoot...Ajay!

Maan reaches the office carrying Pari with her...as soon as he enters the office..all the girls say hi to him..Pari roles her eyes
"HI Maan..." One girl gives him a sly look before walking
"Hi Maaannn..." she slightly touches his shoulder...Maan just nodes and kept walking to his boss's office
Pari: why is everyone saying your name funny?
Maan: What do you mean?
Pari: HI Maan...HI Maaannn (She mimics them)
Maan: I don't know...Listen you can do whatever you want..just don't make any noises..
Pari: Okay daddy..
Maan: Good..now lets go see my boss... (He opens the door and sees an elder man looking at him with anger...Maan puts Pari down and the fishes on the table..the elderly man smiles at her..)
"do you like cats sweety?" Pari nodes her head yes..."Good..I have a cat here would you like to pet her?" She goes around the table and sees a small little cat sitting inside a box.."why don't you play with the cat while I talk to your dad.."
Maan (smiles) So what seems to be the problem Ravi?
Ravi (stands up and shows him the newspaper) This is the problem. The allegations you put on the mayor. Do you know how serioius this is and you might be sued by him if you don't back up your reasoning.
Maan: I know it seems bad

Ravi: well I spoke with your source and he is going to deny everything that you just said

Sasha: I just want to say...I Like you and I want to be with you...I know you can be nice and very sensitive sometimes but am gentle and brutal when I want to be. Think about it...(she winks at him...Maan presses the elevator button shaking his head.."brutal?". Maan leaves the building..and then suddenly stops...he runs back inside to his office building again..)
Maan: Hey Sasha have you seen my daughter Pari?
Sasha; NO...
Maan (runs around the whole office looking for Pari) Pari..where are you?
"I think she is there..."
Maan (bends down and sees Pari sitting on the floor underneath the table petting the cat..) Pari what are you doing?
Pari: petting a cat..
Maan: come lets go...do you do this all the time even with your mother

Maan (brings her out..) come lets go...(he walks out of the building..) Listen I have to find someone right now and umm it could get ugly...

Geet is going through her bag and takes out some spare clothes that she always carries with her in case of emergency like this. She makes a phone call to the last person she would want to talk to right now but having no other option as of now..she give the call to her ex husband who had his own business which meant that a lot of traveling. He comes and meets Ajay whenever he can meaning once a month or not even..depending on his busy schedule..
Geet: Listen..I know you are busy with work and all and i wouldn't be calling you if it wasn't important. (she holds her head) I just need you to look after YOUR son for couple of hours at least for 3 hrs or so. ugh you know what fine Dev..just go do your work.that is the only thing you are good at anyway...are you at least coming to his big game tonight? It would mean a lot to him...okay bye
Yash: Geet..your son
Geet (saw Ajay running around again on the same cart..he almost knocked down the model again...she grabs him) I told you to play nicely...(she sighs) Look I have an important meeting to prepare for..so that means I am going to drop you off at a care center
Ajay: Mom please..I don't like that center..i hate it there
Geet: Am sorry but I have no option..its going to be only for few hours. I promise
