Today Gurmeet Choudhary needs no introduction; the man has earned huge accolades and a big fan following owing to the wonderful character he is playing in Star One's Geet Hui Sabse Parayi.

His breakthrough into the world of television happened with the mythological taleRamayana, which aired on Imagine TV. His role as Lord Ram was loved and admired by many. It is a general belief that actors get typecast once they get into these mythological sagas.

However, Gurmeet proved this completely wrong by essaying the strong role of Maan Singh Khurana in Geet. Gurmeet says that when this role was offered to him he too had this thought in mind that people might compare it with his character of Ramayana.

But nothing of this sort happened! And guess the credit of this goes to his dedication and the ease with which he has so far played the character of Maan. His on-screen chemistry with Drashti Dhami has created a rage. As of now he isn't well and his fans are all busy praying for his good health.
